This is place is very good. Got my air conditioner works well. They put in a blade for free without charge. It was hot in the house and they were not going to charge me until the house is cooler. Woke up this morning with the air out. Found them on Yelp and gave them a call after calling our usual guy who had answering machine. Am so glad we went with Black Mountain! Todd said he could be out by 3 or 4. That was good enough for us, happy to get them out on Sunday. About a half-hour after we made the appt Robert called saying he could be there in about ten minutes and that Todd had gotten backed up. He got here under ten minutes, found the unit had iced up. He had to turn the unit off to thaw. Said it would take about an hour and would be back to check out the unit. An hour later he was back, found the unit low on freon and charged the unit. Now the ac is blowing colder than ever! Robert was honest, professional and friendly! He gave me some great pointers. This is the only ac company I'll ever call! Such excellent service and the most honest A/C contractor in the valley. I called a different A/C company - they way over charged, tried to sell me a monthly contract - total BS, and never fixed the problem. Then I called Black Mountain, service guy came out, checked my system carefully, found the Air Filters had a coating on them (recently replaced) that cased the unit to overheat. Fantastic service! Our upstairs air conditioner went out in the middle of the night. (We were coming up on a heat warning of 114 degree weekend!) in the morning I went to Yelp for some help finding a good HVAC. After reading the great Reviews of Black Mountain Air I contacted them. The rep on the phone was very courteous. We called at 9:40 am, were told to expect a tech between 10am-1pm! Wow. We received an email confirmation. We also received a text from the tech when he was on his way! Jason was at our home by 11:10! He quickly looked at our unit. Believed it was the compressor, & guaranteed if it wasn't, we wouldn't be charged for it. Turns out is was the compressor, he installed it, and we had cold air coming out again by 11:45! Thank Goodness! Jason was very honest and professional. I couldn't believe with the temperature so hot that we could actually get a company to come out and fix this problems so quickly ! Back in April, we had Black Mountain come over to do a "tune up" of our AC units. Well, when a new tenant moved in to what had been a vacant unit, the AC did not blow cold air. I spoke to Todd, and asked HIM to come over, as I did not trust the work done by the previous technician. He intially agreed, and said between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. When he hadn't shown up by 12:30 PM, he said Oops, I had it down for 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. I was under the impression HE would come by. Imagine my unpleasant surprise when someone else showed up, NOT Todd. I called him, and he said he had NOT said he himself would be there, but would send somebody else, the same guy who did not do his job right the first time. Why would I want him? Basically, at the end we agreed to no longer work together. In April, when the guy who did the "tune up" came by, he did NOT have any Freon, and did not tell me how much each unit needed; only a total for all ACs. It took me a WEEK to get the estimate out of them; at first, they sent me an invoice. Basically, I regret using them. I don't want to use them again. I would NOT recommend anyone use them. read more

After reading the reviews here on Yelp I contacted Black Mountain at approximately 8 a.m. on Sunday morning after waking up to a very cold house. By the time they called me back at almost 10 a.m. I had my heater reset, but having encountered the issue previously I knew it was only a temporary fix. Todd told me that if the system stopped working again to call because it was hard to diagnose the issue if the system was working. I called two hours later at approximately 12:20 p.m. when the heater stopped working again, and left two messages over a two hour time-frame stating that I had spoken with Todd earlier and I needed someone to come out. I also sent a message through Yelp. I heard back from Todd through Yelp over 4.5 hours later stating "we don't have any more availability", but never received the courtesy of a phone call back. At 2:00 p.m. I called another company and by the time Black Mountain responded via Yelp the issue was diagnosed and fixed by another company. read more

There is a reason why we only call Black Mountain Air when our AC or Heating goes out. They are simply the BEST! This is our 4th call in the last few years and this time, the problem was with our downstairs AC. Our thermostat was reporting no power to the Rh wire and nothing would come on, not even the fan. Michael came out bright and early this morning and got to work right away. Note that our units are 20 years old so we weren't sure how bad it was going to be. He was very thorough in his troubleshooting and as he went along, he would explain his findings. He was getting really inconsistent results with the voltage readings so he started checking the connectors. He pulled out the power cord housing and voila, part of the cord was fried and the wire nuts were melted! He cut the cord, created new connections and everything started working. Price was very reasonable for the visit and minor electrical repair. I will always call Black Mountain Air first for my HVAC needs. My cold air stopped working and I sent a message through yelp to black mountain air and IM SO GLAD I DID! Within hours I was contacted and I had messaged them somewhat late at night so I was surprised with the quick response. Another company came yesterday to look at it, my ac is super old and needs to be replaced, I know that, that technician said I was out of freon and quoted me about $225 for the freon but had just used his last of freon on his last person. Robert was the technician who came today from this company and he was awesome! He checked the freon and its fine, go figure. It turned out it was a wire issue that was fixed in seconds. I'll still need a new unit soon since mines about 25 years old. He was extremely thorough in measuring everything for a new unit. He was also extremely nice. I look forward to using this company in the future and will gladly recommend them to anyone! Robert even called ahead to let me know traffic was heavy and he would be late. I'm a property manager, and I've used a half dozen different HVAC companies, and Black Mountain Air is one of only 2 company's we use. Here's why: The #1 reason is they are honest, they tell you when you can save money on a costly repair and do something less expensive, they also tell you if they can't make it out on an urgent call (instead of trying to squeeze it in on an already over-loaded work day, and risk not getting out in time). And they don't just try to sell you a costly new unit whenever anything goes wrong. The #2 reason is they do quality work. On work orders from dozens of properties, never had a re-occurring issue. A few years ago I had an issue with my AC. I called one of the companies who advertise a lot on TV and radio. Turned out all I needed done was replacing a capacitor. Quick, easy and reasonably priced. Going forward, I had the occasion to call the same company during the winter time and that problem was quickly fixed, however they wanted to come back to replace a part that wasn't available at the time, would I please call them back later to install the part and inspect the unit. That's when things went downhill. Over a short period of time my unit was now unservicable and I needed to replace it. The cost quoted was definetly not reasonable. I called Black Mountain Air. I had some experience with them in that they were subcontracted by my realtor to service a unit on a house I was selling. In that instance they did excellent work. Fast, resonable cost, and only did the work necessary. So rather than just buy a new unit from the "NAME' company, I asked them to come give me a second opinion. I'm glad I did. Not only was my unit servicable, the repairs they made were again fast, reaonable in cost, and they only reccommneded the repairs that were necessary. Also, they were very positively reviewed on several websites. Turned out I didn't need a new unit. But just in case I would need a new unit I asked Sahnnon to give me a cost estimate on how much a new unit would cost. I'll be darned, the cost quote for replacement was about $5,000.00 less than the "NAME" brand company. Just a few days ago, my AC went out. I called Black Mountain Air. All I needed, was for that capicitor to be replaced again. Fast, reasonable cost, and only did the repairs needed to fix the unit. If and when I need a new unit, I'll defintely call Black Mountain Air because they're fast, reasonably priced, and I know they're honest enough to only do what's needed and with no upselling. HONESTY, INTEGRITY, PROFESSIONAL!!! Even I would never think I would use these words when working with a a/c repair/install company. We have an investment property in Henderson and our tenant called us informing us that the unit was only sending out cold air and it was freezing in the house. We called them early on Monday morning and they were at the house by 10am. Michael was the tech that came out and suppressed all of our expectations! Michael did a thorough inspection and quickly located the problem. He quoted us a very, very, very fair price. He could have easily charged more because we needed it fixed. However, he was very honest. I authorized another $100 for him to check the remainder of the unit in the attic out and fill up freon. He only ended up charging $20. Todd came over to check out our vent and air conditioning system after I was quoted thousands$$$ of repairs needed to be done ( I will not mention the competitors name) I called upon Black Mountain to give me a second opinion. At no charge, Todd found nothing wrong and was not selling me on product I didn't need. I told him what the competitor told me and he laughed. Simply put, he said to just call me when something goes wrong. Beware of the companies out there that will upsell you airconditioning units and services you don't need.
