They have several items on their menu, such as sandwiches, burgers, salads, salmon, and steaks. They run specials on a given day. I seen on Saturday, a seafood boil bag for $56 I believe. It is good for two people. I seen several people order that and enjoy it. They also have a rib special on Fridays for $14 which is a great deal as well. My pricing could be a dollar or two off.... I ended up ordering a Diablo burger with a side salad. It had a sweet and a touch of spicy sauce in it with pepper jack in a soft bun. I really enjoyed it. I tried some of the fries and they were nice and crispy. Our server was very helpful and pleasant with our table. She would come around and refill our waters as needed. Menu is solid, especially their breakfast offerings. Major negative is that they don't have peanut butter available for pancakes/waffles. We usually get great service and prices are reasonable. This restaurant is located inside The Black Oak Casino. The place is very nice and clean. We didn't have to wait long to be seated at all and everyone is very friendly - made us feel very welcome! The service overall was outstanding as we kept getting checked back in on and our drinks never got below 1/4 full. They have a pretty expansive menu and everything tastes good. I just wish the cut of the steak for the steak sandwich was a higher quality meat as mine was very fatty and I kept having to chew it many times and even spit a few inedible pieces out which was a shame because the rest of the sandwich tasted great. I love that they offer sweet potato French fries and I got them with a side of ranch dressing - delicious! Overall the sandwich was delicious and the whole experience would have been 5 stars, instead of 4, if the quality and cut of the steak in the sandwich didn't have so much Gristle. The café itself was so uninviting with an older lady who seemed extremely stressed for an area that looked pretty dead. I would give them -2 stars for service, but i mean, everything came out hot, just slowly. Cleanliness: The floor was sticky... like REALLY sticky. A little offputting how sticky it was. It was only under my chair which meant that it ended up being the last patron spilled their soda and it was never cleaned. Everything else was very clean though so there's that. Overall the price was okay given the area and the kicker was that we were there on a Sunday and they had a great deal of "buy an entree get a free dessert". We decided to keep is easy and not drive to get dinner tonight, which brings us to the Black Oak Cafe. The hostess was super sweet as was the waitress. They have a $5 kids breakfast menu and $10 kids dinner menu which is perfect for our kiddo, and a a good variety on the menu for adults. Salads, soups, burgers, sandwiches, chicken, steak, and fish entrees, as well as pasta. Reasonably priced, averaging $20 an entree. We got the prime rib French dip (4/5), turkey burger (4/5), and kids cheeseburger meal (4/5). My mom and I always stop by this restaurant when we come to Black Oak! The atmosphere is classy and the servers are pleasant. I usually get the Chicken Alfredo or the Tuscan Salmon. The pasta is very savory and creamy and the garlic bread is perfectly toasted, complimenting each other well. The bowl of Clam Chowder is also a pretty hearty portion and is best with some Tabasco (if you've never tried, prepare to be shook!). This last time I went, my mom got the Black Oak breakfast and aside from the fact that it was delicious, there was plenty to take home. Celena was our waitress and she was sweet and helpful. Another Thanksgiving has arrived, and since our children have grown up and moved away I do not want to make such a huge feast for 2, so we join my inlaws and have Thanksgiving lunch/dinner here. The ambiance is a casino, so it's loud and sometimes smoky also, but like I said, it's a casino. The food is really good and the portions are very large. The turkey is equal, serving white and dark meat with mashed potatoes and gravy and green bean casserole, and you even get a large slice of pie. It's definitely delicious and worth the price of about $20. Now the service : no matter what grab a menu or you will be forgotten as qe waited 15 minutes just to have our drink order taken and we only ordered coffee and water. The restaurant is clean and well-decorated, the staff are kind, and the menu has a good amount of options. At first glance, there are no vegan options on the menu besides a few vegetable sides. However, after asking my server, she informed me that I could substitute the patty in any burger for a beyond meat patty - music to my ears. On both visits, I ordered a burger with a beyond meat patty. The food was okay, not bad but definitely not worth the price you pay. I wouldn't eat here unless there were no other options (which unfortunately happened to be the case). They should update the menu to inform guests that there are vegan options. read more

Got the fried raviolis for the appetizer was truly surprised on how creamy the cheese inside was they were very good even the dipping sauce it came was good. I ordered county fired steak w/ sides of mashed potatoes, also very good. My BF ordered the linguini pasta which was the special of the month. He enjoyed the seafood that was in it but he said the black color noodles kind of threw him of so he didn't really each too much of it. First of all the location of this café in regards to the casino is perfect. You do not have to walk through the whole casino to get to the café. The entrance is near the parking lot, a short walk to the cafe. Dinner was delicious! The pan seared salmon salad was so tasty! They have a full bar so we could continue having our drinks while we took a break from gambling to eat. The tri tip sandwich had a perfectly prepared steak sliced in two on a crusty and soft roll. Lots of fries too with the steak sandwich. Our server forgot our drinks, she apologized but then I was given a warm beer so I asked for another one. I've never done that! The breakfast was super yummy! The mixed berry pancake was fluffy with just the right amount of berries served with LOTS of whipped butter on the side and yummy gooey maple syrup. The colossal breakfast sourdough bowl was a different breakfast super filling and the gravy had lots of pepper; our favorite! We did not get our coffee refilled unfortunately. Since their remodel, it seems that everything has gotten better! Much more open and bright atmosphere. We have yet to have a bad meal, although my husband's meal came with some sort of roll that was less than desirable- but the main meals were delicious! Service is great, but when the servers disappear into the wall (kitchen area) then you have to wait for them to come back- not always someone around to ask for something otherwise. I ate here while staying at the hotel. I got a turkey burger with a side salad. The salad was okay but not very big. The burger was a lot better than I expected. It was not dry at all and had a decent amount of flavor for a turkey burger. I ate a few bites of their French dip and of their regular burger and both of those were good as well. We actually came back the next day as well but I did not eat. I tried some of the pasta from the kids menu, and it was just okay. The portion for the pasta was a lot smaller than the burger too (so if your kid is a big eater, go with the burger and skip the pasta). Service was good, but the smell of the casino smoke permeated through everything, which was a bummer. All in all a lot better than I was expecting from this place. It was also reasonably priced, and there is nothing else close by, so it was a pleasant surprise to see that they're not gouging people as much as some places would. read more

Why bother even opening. Staff is not properly trained, waiter is inattentive, nobody is doing food quality control, and the dining area was cold. No excuses. I ordered the St. Pat's special. Barely 1/3 of my meat was edible. It was all fat. The couple of ounces I did eat were just plain tough. The carrots were raw and the cabbage was so tough the the steak knife I borrowed from my daughter could barely cut it. I also did not understand why other guests got butter with their soda bread and I didn't. My children liked their meals, but I paid $93 for 3 meals and mine was crap. Train the wait staff to stop by every once in awhile without being flagged down. Fill drinks and bring requested items. I had to ask for a fork to eat my desert. Who serves cake with a soup spoon?
