I want to leave less but I can't. Service was excellent. I must say our server worked her ass off. We had a large table and enjoyed ourselves. Now to the food. Absolute 1 star. Apps were lackluster and boring. Options were not great but my god the flavor was trash. Main courses were all over. The ribs were apparently delicious because all who had them ate them all. The item labeled a ribeye was closer to a sirloin or even chuck. Not edible. Very thin and even when. Asked to cook rare or med rare the chef sent them all out well. Lastly and most disappointing was server brought us the bill even though we were still drinking. Place was dead and we were only ones left in joint at 9:30 but if we were spending 1500$ please don't ask me to leave when we are happily continuing to spend $ just because the bar tender wants to go home. Service was pleasant and helpful. The kitchen made some mistakes on ingredients. However, our server was able to rectify the situation by bringing the appropriate fix. PRO TIP: Salads tend to run on the sweet side, so if you want to avoid sugar ask for dressings to be placed on the side There are lunch specials that run until 3 PM and a happy hour menu that starts around 3:30 PM. We ate there for lunch on December 30th. We were able to get right in and was served our drinks right away. The pricing was very affordable especially for the location of the eatery. The service was great and the atmosphere was very well done. The food was spectacular, just found another favorite spot to eat while in Branson. The only drawback, if this is a drawback, the hostess stand is too close to the entry/exit doors. I was wanting out and there was a party of 4 talking to the Host getting their seating and I couldn't get out without them moving to the side. My husband and I were in Branson and the host of our VRBO had Black Oak Grill on their short list so we decided to give it a try. We started with the fried mushrooms which were bountiful and good. They also brought delicious bread and made in-house honey butter (yum!). My husband enjoyed his salmon dish but the star of the show was the Trout Almondine and it was fabulous! I am so thankful another patron suggested it to me and then I did the same to someone next to me! The view and the service were also top notch. Loved the decor and vibe of the place! Both indoor and outdoor seating were offered but we chose the inside patio/sunroom because while the outside patio was nice, the trash dumpster from next door totally detracted from the view outside. Best restaurant in Branson. We went here twice while we were in the area, both times we parked right behind it and just waltzed right in and got sat immediately. I love the atmosphere, very clean and modern. The booths are comfortable, the tables are big, it's very spacious and easy to walk around. The restrooms are cool too. Now to the food, it was delicious. I recommend looking at the menu before you go because everything sounds so good you won't be able to decide. The chicken fried chicken was my favorite, the burger was also very good if you want something like that. The salads are huge, and the bowls are very nice. Oh no, this was originally a decent experience. We had nice service staff and were seated relatively quickly. The 2 stars comes from the fact that members in our family experienced food poisoning after eating at this establishment, and there has been a refusal to address the issue. This is a very comfortable place in a pretty nice mall. I ordered the pulled pork on Mac and cheese and regretted it. The pulled pork was very over cooked so that it was crispy and crunchy and not in a good way. The Mac and cheese was very bland. I ate about a third and told the server it just wasn't very good. Just came in for lunch, and WOW!! I had the Special of the Day, a smoked brisket sandwich with slaw and pickled jalapeños on a bun. Best thing I've had since I got here. Ambiance is super cute, kinda modern farmhouse, clean and comfortable. Service was fantastic, we had Heather as a server and instead of trying to get the bigger tab, when I asked if the sandwich was big enough to share, she was honest and said yes. I could eat another half, bc it was SOOO good, but would prob feel over stuffed. Heather was great at explaining the menu and attentive but not overbearing. Definitely a great server!!! I walked in to a modern day looking atmosphere with various decor on the wall. We got a great waitress that gave continuous refills. The spinach and 5 cheese dip was amazing. Some of the best spinach dip I have ever had. I ordered the prime rib dip with fries. The prime was also amazing. The ribeye was delicious and the fries were well seasoned. Very tasty! If you want a place thaf cooks their food well, but doesn't own any seasonings this is it. I would compare this to an Applebee's, but with higher prices. The atmosphere was interesting. It had everything from a giant American Flag all the way to mounted horse heads. I think my largest dissapointment was the way they served the chicken in the nachos. If you look closely you will see tortilla strips in the nachos....psych! That's the chicken. My best take away from this place was the steak was actually cooked the way I ordered it, medium. So the chef has potential, just doesn't know how to season their food properly. If you are visiting the Branson Landing I would go ahead and skip this particular estsblishment. My wife and I got an order to go to celebrate my birthday. My wife ordered the rosemary grilled chicken (gluten free). It appears that the chicken was good and cooked as ordered. I ordered the ribeye, cooked medium. My stake was cooked as ordered however about 1/3 of the stake was fat and the whole stake was tough and full of stringy something. I do realize that this cut of stake does have fore fat than other cuts but this was excessive. Normally we are very satisfied with our food from here but this time something was different. read more

The food is trial and error. I like this place a lot but sometimes the food can be a miss. I've had the meatloaf before and found it dry, I've had a parmesan before and found it crunchy hard. But I've also had a perfect burger, very nice salad, and great appetizers. Even the hot bread they bring out is super good. My favorite is a burger, fries (a little bit overdone) and a drink as we sit on the covered patio with our dog. Yes! Dogs are welcome on the patio. They'll always almost bring out a bowl of water, so very nice. The huge downfall, and this is no fault of BOG, is that they're buildinga restaurant RIGHT next door and it will greatly reduce the view from the patio area. There will be a small walkway between the two, that's it. Such a shame. But don't let that deter you, have a go at BOG, chances are that UPDATE AUGUST 17, 2019 Another visit to BOG last night. I again give it a four out of five. The baby back ribs were awesome, ordered my fries crispy and they were perfect. The only downside to our visit was that we had a bartender as a server. We hardly saw her and service was very slow. She told us at the beginning that she was working in parallel with someone else and the only time we saw this other server was when the bill came. Went there in a Sunday night and was very disappointed. We had a group of five and were seated quickly. Drinks were brought out quickly and we ordered the fried goat cheese which also arrived quickly with some bread and butter. The fried goat cheese was tasty but nothing to write home about. We ordered the $30 ribeye which arrived well cooked and tasted great but had a HUGE untrimmed 3"x3" chunk of pure fat and gristle on the end. It was inedible and totally untrimmed, incredible disappointed that they messed up such an easy thing as trimming a steak. I had the prime rib dip which was an overpriced and mediocre French dip sandwich. We also had two burgers and the grilled meatloaf at the table. The grilled meatloaf was described as comparable to Piccadilly cafeteria meatloaf and the burgers were just burgers. The fries were thin and very dry like they had been sitting under a warmer light for a few hours. The aside from the initial speed the service was also greatly lacking. We saw the waiter twice to take orders and once to delivery food and never saw him again till he brought the checks. We went substantial periods of time with multiple empty drinks on the table and business was slow enough it could not be attributed to being busy with other guest. read more
