Decided to hit the drive thru at this location to try this new collab with Olipop! I absolutely love Olipop and was stoked to see them doing a collab with a coffee shop. It was delicious!! Black Rock as a whole I prefer compared to Starbucks when in a pinch for coffee. Thankfully there are enough in the valley that if I just need something quick, it'll do the trick. My favorite coffee ever? No, but I appreciate their consistency in flavor when I decide to stop by and get a caffeine fix. Black Rock is like Dutch Bros on steroids. The brick and mortar locations are bigger, the music is louder, and more importantly- the coffee is stronger. I dropped in mid day to do some work and make some calls. It's definitely not ideal for either due to how loud it is inside but, you can't have it all. For the price we paid, this fell below our expectations. The breakfast burrito was so bland and lacking seasoning. Which was so bizarre because you could see it had lots of good ingredients in there. We were faithful customers for many months at 35th. Ave and Greenway. We would spend between $25 to $30 a day on coffee at this location. Over this time period we had so many mistakes on our drinks. We would get coffee with out cream or milk when we asked. We would also get other people's drinks. After so many months we will no longer go to Blackrock. We get our coffee at circle k and we enjoy it. Most of the time there were always long lines. We were driving by and saw this cute little place opened and were offering free drinks. There were long lines but was super impressed on how well organized it was and barely took any time to get the drinks. We went in and the coffee bar has some great complimenting colors like black, white and red. Their whole inside outside theme is amazing. Loved the whole vibe inside. I went with a hazel nut coffee and it was amazing. I loved the taste of coffee, it had the right amount of caffeine, tasted excellent. This place is so close to my office that I would be a regular here. This whole week they are running promotions and what better way to avail it. The prices are reasonable. I frequent this location at least two times a week as it is on my way to work. I typically have a very pleasant experience, until this morning. Yesterday, I went through the drive thru and ordered a peppermint blonde iced latte(which was amazing) and wanted to splurge on a breakfast sandwich. I would like to add that the woman working the window was not very kind, didn't ask for my loyalty number, and when I kindly asked if she could add my number so I can accrue the points, she responded with a harsh tone. Anywho, when I made it to work I noticed that I had a bagel instead of the sandwich. I tried calling the store to remedy the situation but apparently when you call the store, an automated system answers. The automated system prompted me to go online and fill out a request to be contacted, which I immediately completed. I did not receive a call or email, which is fine because I knew I would go to Black Rock in the morning for the teacher and staff day. I went inside to notify them that my order was incorrect from the day before, and the shift manager on duty was very rude and told me that I should've come in the day before, which I did take action the day of the incident. I motioned toward the girl who was working the window the day before and mentioned she was the one that helped me out, not to call her out, just so that she could attest I came through the drive thru. The manager walked over to her and they exchanged a few words looked my way and laughed. The girl that worked the window the previous day rolled her eyes in my direction. All to say, I will not be visiting this location again. If you would like to experience high school mean girls, then visit this Black Rock location. read more

I'm not a fan of sweet coffees so I usually ask for half of the sweetness or more espresso to even it out.
