Came in on a Monday around 3 PM after getting off work early and was able to find parking and a place to sit pretty easily. Shoutout to Steven for his amazinggg service like where do you guys find baristas this efficient and talented with customer interactions ! I asked him how the matchas were and he let me know the cafe is more coffee-oriented, but said people still order the matchas a lot. He recommended the Vanilla Bourbon latte with sweet cold foam and it was fireeee. I recommend adding cinnamon powder on top. The vibe here is also really unique. I know the car in the middle might throw some people off at first, but I honestly love the minimal/open layout and how there's space between tables instead of cramming everyone together. The aesthetic is super nice, and there's also a giant mirror if you want cute pics with your friends. The drinks are a little pricey for the size, so this will probably be more of a treat-yourself spot for me, but overall I had a great experience. Good wifi, good seating, great vibes all around. Would definitely recommend checking it out. Thanks Chloe !

It was 5 bucks which is unheard of in midtown! Cute vibes inside and lots of people working and friends hanging out etc. The fancy car in the middle of the shop is fun for a second and then it's like can we move this for more seating? It's a nice idea but it takes up too much of the space and doesn't totally make sense. So minus one star for that. I think when it's nice out then there is outdoor seating which probably makes the ambience nicer but I was there on a rainy day.

I had never even heard of Temple Coffee Roasters until today…read more I asked ChatGPT where thoughtful, interesting, community-minded people in Sacramento tend to gather -- basically, where one might recruit good humans instead of just collect business cards -- and this was top of the list. Temple is one of those places where the espresso tastes like someone with a chemistry degree and a poet's soul got together and decided the rest of us deserved better mornings. The baristas manage to be both calm and alarmingly competent. You ask one tiny question about beans and suddenly you're getting a TED Talk from a caffeinated forest monk. And the people here actually talk to each other. Not in the fake networking-event way where everyone's secretly scanning for status. More like artists, students, organizers, remote workers, philosophers, exhausted grad students, startup people, and neighborhood regulars all accidentally sharing the same living room. Clean space. Serious coffee. Zero snob energy. Headquarters of the Revolution. Special mention to Sam, who was managing Temple Coffee Roasters when I walked in. You can tell immediately when someone genuinely enjoys helping people, and Sam absolutely does. She told me she loves adjusting drinks to fit exactly what people want instead of treating coffee like some untouchable sacred formula -- stronger, softer, sweeter, whatever makes the person in front of her happy. And she said something deeper still: helping people feel good is actually pretty easy... although sometimes it's hard. That kind of sums service up. Sam has that rare combination of warmth, competence, patience, and calm that quietly changes your mood. All of a sudden you feel like being kinda kinder. The coffee was excellent, but people like Sam are the reason places become part of a city's soul instead of just another café.

As typical with Temple Coffee, the quality of the drinks are top notch and really is the gold standard in Sacramento. Prices are on the higher side for these premium selections so be aware of that if you haven't been to a Temple before. This location is a bit smaller and has less unique features than other ones. It's perfectly serviceable for a cafe, but the ambiance isn't on par when you compare them. The service, however, was superb. I found the baristas there to be very friendly and warm. It's hard to go wrong with Temple, and if you/re looking for a great coffee drink and near this one, it's certainly worth the visit!

My kid was giving me a hard time & they all tried everything to make us both feel better. I had to take him out of the store because he was acting out. I was really embarrassed. I came back to grab my drinks & in addition to making my drinks so good, they gave me a gift card. I felt so embarrassed & grateful. I walked out quick because I was going to cry. Thank you to the whole staff!! You guys were incredible, patient, & made me feel better in an uncomfortable situation. Of all the coffee shops in Sacramento, Davis, or Folsom there is no better place to get coffee than Temple. Not just this location, every single location they have. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

It's hard to find a spot to sit and we usually end up at the counter sitting on barstools which isn't ideal if you're short. Most of the customers have laptops and will usually occupy a table for an extensive amount of time. While I have nothing against working at a coffee shop, it's challenging to find a spot to relax after a long day and a good meal. Parking is also a challenge. Best bet is to park in the garage because the lot is tiny and street parking is an even bigger challenge. Service has been consistently great. They do a great job of producing quality drinks without a long wait time. All in all, this is a convenient option, but not my favorite.

(Tuesday morning) I ordered the double matcha, it came in a fully compostable cup which is nice, but it does give you that paper straw feeling, and gets mushy quite fast! The matcha itself was meidocore, nothing special, honestly. The bathroom was very clean! A little odd to have a picture of a man staring at you, but at least he was handsome? I will say that one thing that was quite off-putting. I came in maybe about 30 minutes after opening and studied for 5-6 hours. Another group came in, and they were here for about an hour, but then a couple of girls came in and were treated with great hospitality- asked if they needed wifi, were told where the outlets were...etc. I wish the treatment was the same for all customers! :/ Overall, I would probably come back to study because of the seating and music alone, but probably will not be getting matcha from here anytime soon.
