I've passed by this coffee shop so many times, and we finally stopped in on a Sunday morning. When we stopped there was a run club out in their driveway area (they were blocking the way onto their parking lot) and we ended up getting a parking spot on the street. It's good to know that they do have a small parking lot though. It's a small cafe with a few bar seats along the window as well as a cute little outdoor patio in the back. The team members were very nice and I made small talk with the person taking my order, and ended up ordering their favorite- an iced honey latte. The coffee didn't take too long, even though there were a few orders ahead of mine, and it was delicious. I'd definitely stop by again in the future. read more

I've been coming to The Mill for years and their quality has always been consistent. They're known for their coffee and waffle in hand. On Sunday, I arrived at 7:30 and there was a couple of people enjoying their coffee. I was greeted by a kind barista and I decided to order the cappuccino and a croissant. My croissant was handed to me on plate and my drink took about 5 minutes. That first sip feeling was amazing. I'm still dreaming of the cappuccino that I had. The croissant was good. Nothing special, but still satisfied my craving. I would recommend coming here to get coffee and a waffle in hand, sit outside at the table and people watch. I stopped by here on a whim and tried the roasted iced matcha latte. It was enjoyable! I also tried the chocolate croissant and was pleasantly surprised how delicious and flaky it was. Love the coffee here. For around $6 I get a high quality cappucino. Coffee taste fresh, they use organic milk. You get small and quality here which is what a coffee should be. At Starbucks and the chain coffee, you can get a large or XL coffee but it is mainly just burnt coffee beans and milk fluff or nowadays they make coffee with tons of sugar which is why Americans are fat and have lots of diabetes. Hope this doesn't offend anyone just stating facts. But yea love the coffee here, their specialty coffees are a bit expensive but the simple stuff is fair, fresh, and great. read more

This is a cute and small coffee shop right outside of CSUS. The coffee shop has good AC so it's toasty when it's cold outside. They have good indoor and outdoor seating. I love their selection of teas and seasonal specialty drinks. Parking is difficult but if you are on foot, this is a great place to grab and go. read more

Came with my best friend for a coffee date for her bday. Super cute inside and the outside area is nice and covered. Parking is a bit difficult as there aren't a ton of spaces and backing out can be difficult, but there is also some street parking. We had the iced chai and iced matcha. Both delicious, would recommend the wildflower syrup added to the matcha as it is unsweetened. The chai was spicy too. We also had the chocolate chip mochi waffle which was delicious! For me, the cookie was just ok. It is nice and thick but the flavor just isn't there for me and the texture is interesting. Will def be back to try more things! read more

This is easily the best coffee I've ever had. The vibe is amazing. I went the first day with my girlfriend and got the iced caramel latte. It blew my mind. I've had a lot of coffee in my life but nothing has ever hit like this. I came back the next morning just to get the SAME DAMN THING. I even tried my girls matcha, and I don't even drink matcha. I visited the coffee shop to purchase a drink before attending a workout class at Sacramento State. When I returned from my class, the gate to the property had been closed, leaving me unable to access my vehicle. There were no visible signs on the property indicating that the gate would be closed, and the employee working at the time did not inform me of this policy. As a result, I was unexpectedly prevented from retrieving my car, which is both frustrating and unacceptable. I now have to go back tomorrow and retrieve my car. Clear communication--either through posted signage or verbal notice--is necessary to prevent situations like this from occurring. read more

I respect that they offer housemade Chai, although I found it to be just a touch too bitter for my preference. Waffle was very light. Maple Syrup was cold which kinda contrasted with the warm waffle. I love The Mill and have been here many time in the past few years . Consistency is key to all great establishments and the people at The Mill know what they are doing ! I know what to expect when I walk through the doors. I usually order a cappuccino or a latte with their in house made vanilla syrup if I'm feeling extra indulgent. Both are made with expertise . This is such a convenient pick me up spot for Sac State students! The service was okay, they were weirdly quiet and nonchalant. Though, they did answer all of our questions. The shop was filled with the sweet aroma of their fresh waffles. We got a Wildwood Flower Latte and a Matcha Latte! Both were mediocre, nothing special. The WFL had floral notes, but overall bland and tastes mostly like milk. However, it is a great spot to study and chat! Tight knit corners inside, but plenty outside seating! We chatted for 6 hours outside, enjoying the weather, and watching people drive terribly. I'll be returning to try their Mocha and Waffles. read more

I really appreciated all of their gluten-free and vegan options. Although, I don't fall into either category, I love the inclusivity. I came into The Mill because my sister recommended the Winter Spice Latte. Everywhere I go, I usually ask for a cappuccino-sized drink since I prefer less milk and a single shot of espresso. At first, the young barista at the counter told me they couldn't do that, so I asked to speak with a manager. The manager was very kind and accommodating, and even suggested I try it half sweet -- which I appreciated and agreed to, since she knew the drink better than I did. When I received my cappuccino, I unfortunately couldn't taste much of the winter spice flavor, so I asked if they could add more syrup. The same young barista responded with, "Next time just order a small latte." I told her I appreciated her suggestion, but I simply prefer a single-shot cappuccino. I really wish more baristas would listen to customers' preferences and be open to crafting drinks to their liking.
