Adorable restaurant with friendly wait staff. Home made desserts looked delicious as they are displayed in a glass case . My daughter and I both got the gobbler . It was pretty big. Took half home . My dining companion and I wanted to grab a light bite to eat before a wine tasting this evening, and she suggested the Harvest Tap & Table. What a great choice that was! We shared orders of coconut shrimp with a sweet chili dipping sauce, soft pretzels with honey mustard and a caprese sandwich. Everything was tasty, filling & reasonably priced. It's always busy because it's in the middle of a good desert, but if this place was in Providence it would've been out of business years ago. I really wanted to like this place. In the waiting area, I saw a huge line of local craft taps at the bar. And I heard they had a huge menu. But the quality is not there. They have a paper specials menu they change daily but they do not have a list of beers they have. It's almost like if you're not at the bar, you shouldn't drink. Wouldn't you want people to spend more money? We all ordered different things off the menu and ordered two baskets of tator tots kegs. They were okay. They weren't too crispy. Mostly cheesy potatoes shaped into huge tator tots. When the food came out, no one liked their food or took it to go. Everything tasted pre made and that they just heat it up to give it to us. My bread was hard and the turkey was mushy. I've also never had cranberry sauce squeezed into my sandwich. Really grossed me out. Overall, do not plan to come back. read more

I have to start with the staff, friendly and welcoming and always checking in on you. Food for someone who loves to cook if I am ordering something I have an expectation of what it should taste like. I ordered the oven roasted turkey breast, it was very thick cut of deli turkey for sandwiches. The gravy was so salty and tasted from a can I had to wipe it off. The mashed and the stuffing was tasty. Vegetables over cooked. Little man had just grilled chicken breast as they do not have gluten free pasta option. The restaurant Has a feel of a dining hall almost. The table behind us had a woman that was louder than the children that were sitting with her, her voice could be heard through out restaurant and it was annoying. Once she left it was fine. The dessert counter had lots of cheesecake but you can tell it's mass produced with different toppings. I got a cookie that was over cooked and dried. We had lunch at Harvest Tap & Table and I was blown away by the service. Our waiter was exceptional and super attentive. The hostess was also very friendly and helpful when my dad saw gelato, she offered to let him sample the different flavors so he could decide which one he wanted for dessert as long as he saved room. The food is always very good. I had a chicken BLT, my dad had the Portuguese style quahogs and my friend had chicken parm. Everything is made fresh and was very good. We all had a small cup of gelato after and my dad took half my sandwich, hand cut fries and most of my gelato to go for later. The waiter boxed everything for him because we had a cooler in the car so his extra ice cream didn't melt. I love this farm style restaurant with fun decor and an open floor plan. We went to harvest tap and table when they reopened supposedly after renovations. We went in and everything was the same no renovations! The bartender was rude and non personable. We ordered fish and chips that were supposed to be "beer battered" it wasn't! When we asked the bartender he insisted he poured the beer every day for the beer battered fish. We also had a chicken caprese pizza, it was loaded with so much cheese and grease it wasn't good at all! I sat with an empty glass for 15 minutes waiting for the bartender to pay attention to us. He was too busy waiting on the people he knew. He never asked us how things were. It was a horrible experience, I will never eat there again! Not impressed at all. Not enough mayonnaise not enough bacon not enough tomato. Two dollar up charge for a side salad instead of fries. The next grilled cheese with fries. Toasted bread with cold cheese.The fries were not fully cooked. This was a take out order. This is an easy order to execute. And it was absolutely unsatisfactory and totally disgusting. I've drove past this place many times and never got a chance to eat there. I always said I gotta go here and try it but never got around to it. We went on Valentine's Day 2025 and it was packed, but the weight was only around five minutes, which was amazing. We first started with chicken tenders with extra ranch. The tenders were very crispy and really good then we got our main course a burger and my wife got a salad which were excellent and to finish it all off. We got cheesecake which was very very good. We've been going to Harvest T&T for years. The service is descent, the quality of the food is always good , and the portions are always generous. We like the open atmosphere and overall feel of the restaurant. I just want to make patrons aware that HTT has (somewhat discreetly) been tacking on charges to their menu prices for months now. There was no mention of this by our server, just a small not so obvious piece of paper tucked away near the condiments. These up charges added 25% to our bill. While I enjoyed going there, its just gotten too expensive. read more

Just got home from dinner at the Harvest Tap and Table with my party of 5. The goods - the food was decent. I had the Portuguese steak sandwich. The flavor profile was really good. The steak, however, should be sliced. Thats nitpicking, but it was really hard to chew. The issues we ran into were service related. My wife and I both ordered 22oz beers from the bar, I received my 22oz and she received a 16oz. Instead of the fixing my wifes drink or bringing extra later on free of charge, she made a comment about ordering a second round. The second issue should have been an easy fix, but the server and kitchen, apparently, made it difficult. So as mentioned above, i ordered the Portuguese Steak Sandwich and the side I asked for was macaroni salad. What i was given as a side was french fries, however. Listen, this isn't a huge issue. I assumed I would let the server know and she'd just bring me out a side of macaroni salad. I've been in restaurants for 10+ years so I know how to handle this issue. What the server said was "I'll need to bring the fries back to the kitchen." Excuse me? For what? Are you going to use the fries that are on the plate i'm already eating off of on another guest? Are you going to throw them out? I didn't make the mistake; the server did. Anyway, I told the server I didn't feel comfortable doing that. So she walked away and came back and said "the kitchen refuses to give the macaroni salad unless I bring the fries back." This is literally insane. I didn't give the fries back. I never received the macaroni salad. No manager bothered to stop by the table. We paid our bill and we left. We wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Those cheesecakes at the front counter looked amazing, btw. It's too bad because we would have probably ordered a couple for dessert. We didn't - and now this restaurant has lost customers for life. Also invest in some kind of ambience like lighting or music. It was like sitting in the middle of a convenience store. read more

Hi. I went to the Harvest Tap &Table last Saturday afternoon and was met with friendly staff and was seated very quickly. My waitress, I believe her ne was Sherri, promptly asked what I would like to drink and showed me where the menu was . Ii ordered chicken cutlet club sandwich and was served it rather quickly.. Sherri came over to check on things and asked if I needed anything and was very friendly and attentive. As far as the atmosphere, the building is built like an old farm barn and very welcoming Sherri couldn't have been nicer as well as the bus boy that came and cleared the table. My only down side was the woman next table over that had a conniption because they could not bring in a beverage from outside. (This is stated on the doors upon entering). She wanted to walk out immediately as if she was offended. You could tell the waitress felt bad even having to inform them that it was not allowed. When she did come back with their drinks, the woman made it known that they were not staying They left in a huff and her husband went over to berate the poor waitress who was only doing her job. I eeally felt bad for her. Worst part was the guy had to come back in to retrieve the phone and walked out with his head down. Myself and the other patrons all felt he was way out of line the way he treated the waitress and it was uncalled for. Bottom line great place. If I could give zero stars, I would. We came to this restaurant, Harvest Tap and Table in Swansea MA for what we hoped would be a relaxing family meal. Instead, we were met with ignorance, humiliation, and a total lack of compassion--especially when it comes to individuals with disabilities. Our son, who is autistic, had a bottle of water with him--something he needs and is familiar with. He was calm, happy, and behaving completely appropriately. But shortly after we sat down, the waitress approached us and said, with no empathy or discretion, that "outside drinks aren't allowed." We politely explained that our son is autistic and doesn't understand why he wouldn't be able to have his bottle. Her response? A loud, dismissive, "Oh! I didn't know that. That's OK, he can keep it!"--broadcasted for everyone in the area to hear. It was a deeply humiliating moment. Her tone wasn't apologetic--it was performative, loud, and stripped us of our son's privacy. This is not how you treat families dealing with challenges. This is not how you create an inclusive, welcoming environment. Understandably, our son became upset after we told him we had to leave--because the moment was already ruined. He had done nothing wrong, but we had to leave to preserve his dignity and ours. To make matters worse, after we stepped out, my husband went back in to retrieve our son's glasses and realized he had left his phone behind. When he calmly told the bartender that the way we were treated was unacceptable, the bartender's response? "Well, for that reason, you need to leave." No apology. No ownership. Just more dismissal. This place isn't just lacking in customer service--it's lacking in basic humanity. If you or someone in your family lives with a disability, especially autism, do not expect understanding here. They are not trained, they are not accommodating, and from our experience, they don't even care. We will never return--and we urge others in the disability and neurodivergent community to avoid this place entirely. There are plenty of restaurants where your family will be respected. Harvest is a cool place. A bar on one side, a restaurant on the other and a pastry case in the middle. I had a steak and cheese with hand cut fries. Both were delicious. The food came out very fast and it was hot. I got a piece of peanut butter cheesecake to take home with me for later. It looks incredible. My server was very polite, kind knowledgeable, and friendly. This place before the "renovation" was 5+ stars! The place would be packed with people placing lunch orders and some would sit in to eat lunch. Now it's "eat-in", the order counter is where we use to pay, its lost a lot of the previous " community market" atmosphere. They now have a full bar on one side with some high tops... I'm not sure what "market" has a full bar? We were seated and our order was taken fairly quickly, which I expect for eating lunch in. Then we sat there, and we sat there! We waited 45 mins for our lunch! Harvest Market- you make us sit in, but you expect us to wait 45 minutes for our lunches? Which may I add I had a chicken parm. Sandwich! The chicken cutlets were old, chewy, and not exactly hot! There was hardly any sauce and we had waited so long I didn't have time to return it for better chicken and more sauce. The waiter came to our table apologizing that our food had not come out yet- 3 TIMES! Very poor service from management and the kitchen! My co-workers food was hot and obviously just cooked, mine I think was sat there for awhile getting cold. Completely disappointed with this experience! I will not be returning! People don't have more than a hour for lunch, you can't expect people to wait so long! Looking at some of the recent yelp reviews I'm not alone. I wish they would go back to how it was. Ordered take-out for lunch with the family about a week back. Ordered during the week, so the wait time was only about 15 mins. Everyone got a sub, including myself. Entree - Caprese sandwich. I ordered the regular size which was plenty for me. It came loaded with thick pieces of fresh tomato and mozzarella and a delicious dressing all on some really great bread. I was pretty impressed and am interested in trying out more. I've seen a lot of improvement here since the height of Covid-19 and I can't wait to see how much more this place continues to grow. I am annoyed and on a mission. I am warning you up front. Most folks who know me, know I am easy going and don't often get riled up. But this got me HOT! You might be inclined to ask. But what has made you so angry George? The idotic seating policy at the Harvest Tap and Tavern. It does not make sense. They lost me and all others I can convince to avoid the place. I am here for lunch, meeting another couple. The restaurant will not seat you until the party arrives. Meanwhile all of the seating is filling up. Mind you, All open tables are for 4 people or more. There are very few 2 seaters and those few are currently full. So if I had not mentioned that I have another party coming, I would be seated at the 4 seater already. I know as I watched 2 other couples enter and be seated at 4 person tables. The tables are now full. So when my party arrives, we all will have to wait for an additional period. I am out and will not return. Instead, I had an Amazing meal up the road at The Aviary. Excellent food, friendly service and reasonable prices. The ambiance is also much more upscale. While I waited for my party (seated at a table for 5), I consumed 2 mixed drinks and 2 apps. Would have done the same at Harvest. If you are not alone, I'd take a hard pass on this place due to the greed of the policy. Maybe I am spoiled by European restaurants, but I will never go back.
