Ordered a pizza before 9:00 on a Saturday. Online said delivery in 60 minutes. Waited for a little over an hour. Called to see status. Got hung up on by 1st person who didn't bother to even give name of business. Called back and 2nd person answered telling me ovens were shut down. This is a little after 10:00. Hours say they're open til 11:00. Got charged over $22. for a pizza that was never delivered. So they made over 22. for doing nothing. Pretty disgusted. read more

Pizza was cold when delivered and the order was completely wrong. Tried talking to the assistant manager MJ, who refused to help out a long time customer. She finally replaced my order, but to the wrong address. She was very argumentative when came to replacing my order. Amazing pan pizza, ordered at 12am and it came by 12:30, called to confirm my order and the man who answered was super polite and happy. Pizza was cooked to perfection (surprising because it's right before they close) and had the perfect amount of everything. The woman delivering was the sweetest! Quick and easy. Ordered a pizza and pizza bread with extra side of spicy ranch for delivery. They forgot the extra spicy ranch. Not a big deal but I called them figuring they would reverse the charge. The woman who answered told me they could redeliver. I told her no thanks, just a refund please. Instead of a refund I was told "She'll be mailing you a coupon in the next week." The pizza and cheesy bread sticks were out of this world!! Being from Western New York a good pizza is hard to find and so happy we tried. The employee on the phone taking me order was very kind and understanding because I didn't hear a menu in front of me, price was reasonable and the delivery time was fairly close to what I had been told. Blackjack on east Colfax. Ordered online. Called 45 minutes later. Order still there. Called 15 minutes later. Order had left. 30 minutes later, driver pulls up. No sign, no uniform, no greeting, no sorry for being so later. Order was completely messed up. Salad was wrong; I asked for no onions and there were onions. Cheese bread was lukewarm and had no parm. Wings were ice cold like they came out of refrigerator and had both hot sauce and bbq sauce and it was only supposed to be bbq. Last person I spoke to at store got snippy with me toward the end of our conversation. Worst experience I've ever had with any delivery. Order was refunded. Never again. So, we sort of have a blackjack pizza addiction. IT DOES HAVE A MAJOR CAVEOT. BlackJack is excellent but I am not a fan of their traditional pizza crust. I only order pancrust when ordering their pizza. In fact, Ill send back the regular crust (sorry BJ!) I have nothing but good things to say about their salads, breads and dessert options. Buuuuuut Pancrust is life! I also live in a building with a door code, and most other delivery places won't come upstairs and deliver to my door. When I had foot surgery a few weeks ago, I especially appreciated this extra level of customer service and simplicity. I am a vegetarian so I've never had their pizza with anything other than extra cheese, extra sauce and occasionally their veggies. 9/10 times the pizza is perfect. There was a handful of times (we order a lot) where the sauce seemed like plain tomato sauce! Or was just unseasoned. This made me laugh since I work at a restaurant myself and things happen sometimes. Less amazing, but still amazing. What can you do? I give them 5 stars because I am 100% addicted to their food and because I can get a HUGE meal for less than $20 bucks with enough to spare for a gluttonous lunch the following day. read more

This isn't NY style or anything but it's still delicious. Definitely my favorite pizza so far in the Denver area. The crust is between Sicilian and NY style. Horrible Customer Service. Manager is rude. I ordered a pizza at 1030am. It said if would arrive in approximately 45 minutes. After an hour, I called the store. If they had said it would arrive soon I would be fine. But they said "well you're on the far end of the delivery schedule, so I don't know when it will arrive". I asked to speak to the manager. The manager said "I'll free it out for you". I told him that's not the point. I had kids who need to eat before leaving for an appointment and I just wanted to know when it would arrive. He said "I already told you it was free have a good day ". It arrived cold and 30 minutes later than the 45 minute delivery time. read more

Ordered from them for the first time through Grub hub. After 90 minutes of waiting, I called and was told they never entered the order. They said they'd send it out for free (which is fine) but then said it would be another Hour! That's a 2.5 hour wait for wings!! I've been ordering from Blackjack for about 15 years. For the price, it has been consistently good over the years. There have been a few not-so-great pizzas, but I'm feeding a boy who wants mass quantities of food and can't afford fancy gourmet stuff. Delivery has always been excellent, and the drivers have always been pleasant. I noticed a nice change in the crusts after they moved...probably better ovens. I used to request "well-done crusts," but don't have to do that any more. read more

I've been going to Blackjack Pizza on University Boulevard near D.U. for a couple of decades. The pizza is good, the service is fast, the prices are reasonable and they always have discount specials. It's a take out restaurant only (and they deliver). I was happy to see they'd moved four blocks south into a larger location (at 2443 S. University, just south of Evans) with much better and more plentiful parking and a spot inside with tables and chairs where you can wait for your pizza. (The previous location had a walk up window only). I went there today and ordered a large thin New York crust with sausage, pepperoni and red onion. I spoke with Theresa, the owner of 23 years who is very friendly and thanked me for being a longstanding customer. That expressed appreciation, along with the consistently good pizza, is the sort of thing that'll keep me coming back. read more

I've lived in Denver for 2 years, and I'd never tried Blackjack's until this week. I foolishly assumed that it was a sub par pizza chain, and up until now I'd been exclusively ordering from another pizza place that will remain nameless. I tried Blackjacks for the first time today on a whim and I was very pleasantly surprised. It was better, faster, and cheaper than the aforementioned unnamed pizza place that I've been ordering from. Blackjack's is now my go-to pizza place in Denver. I got a large pizza with pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, and jalapeños, and I was deeply satisfied. I highly recommend this place. read more

Just had a very unfortunate experience at this location. I am a regular customer. And by regular I mean nearly ordering weekly. Typically, I have had positive experiences with them. However, tonight when I ordered, the individual on the phone could barely get my address down, and then took my order. I call about an hour later wondering where my pizza and cheesy bread was! I am told that they called my phone (the one I used to order) had been disconnected. Not true as it was on the table in front of me the whole time. It was then discovered that they had taken my number down and never bothered to confirm. When this was figured out, the manager said he would go ahead and "charge us and get the order out". How is it that a company can make an error on THEIR end but can't even have the decency to sincerely apologize or offer any sort of coupon for the future or anything? I just found this extremely disappointing and will likely not be ordering from them for awhile. read more
