Best banana bread in town! Their ham croissant is also very tasty. True, buying it is a big problem. Because this croissant sells out in the morning. Very friendly guys work here. They are always very polite and smiling. One day I bought myself a coffee that was no longer on sale. I paid for it and later they told me they couldn't do it for me. I got upset and bought another drink. But the coffee shop employees gave me cookies as compensation. Every coffee shop has a stand with photos of customers' dogs. I really like looking at these photos when I come for coffee. One day I found a photo of a dog named Potato. This is so cute! There is also always a jar of dog treats and a bowl of water. In the fall I tried pumpkin spice coffee. I didn't like this particular taste. It was too sweet for me. But the summer menu included grapefruit cold brew. This coffee was the best drink ever! I really love this place!

Great shop. Fast service. Simple and clean matcha lattes. Seasonal drinks are fantastic.

Pistachio latte was super delicious! The flavor was subtle and the perfect amount of sweet that didn't make it too overpowering.

Staff is always rude or pissed about something and the coffee is shit. I can't speak to all locations, just this one.

I have never seen anything quite like Aux Merveilleux de Fred. What an absolute delight! Not only…read moreare the desserts incredible, but the employees were so friendly and pleasant to deal with as well. The star of the show is, of course, the Merveilleux. It's made with light, airy meringue and whipped cream, then covered in chocolate shavings. It somehow manages to be rich and delicate at the same time. I can see why it's their signature dessert. They offer different flavors and sizes too, from mini versions to larger cakes that are perfect for sharing. One of the coolest parts of visiting is that the kitchen is completely open. You can watch the pastry chefs assembling these beautiful creations right in front of you. It's mesmerizing and makes the whole experience feel special. The bakery has roots in Northern France and Belgium, where the Merveilleux originated, but pastry chef Frédéric Vaucamps reinvented the classic recipe to make it lighter and more modern. Whatever he did worked because these pastries are unforgettable. A quick tip: cash only, so come prepared. Honestly, if you're anywhere nearby, I think you need to run there. Between the amazing desserts, the friendly staff, and the chance to watch everything being made fresh, it's one of the most enjoyable bakery experiences I've had in a long time. I know you won't be sorry!

Aux Merveilleux de Fred is a tiny, beautifully fragrant shop on 8th Ave. I ordered the cold brew black and it was one of the smoothest, most satisfying first cups of the day I've had in a long time. Finding genuinely good black cold brew in this city is harder than it should be, and this one hit the spot so perfectly I made a second solo trip before sundown. The chocolate and almond croissant was delicate, flaky, and exactly what a croissant should be. The shop itself is small, no indoor seating, but two benches out front! The staff was warm and the whole place smells incredible the moment you walk in. I've already earmarked the Cramique for my next visit, because if it's anywhere near as good as everything else, I'm in trouble. Do yourself a favor and stop in!
