One of the best matchas I've had in a minute!! Super high quality and reasonably priced for good matcha.

Life is short. F....it up! Family, Flavor, Friends On my way to other food tours ran into the small unassuming Matcha place I had to stop in. You're gonna getting the vanilla zen Matcha drink, which is very tasty and the other drink that we saw in the picture was the osishi berry. Well worth the visit.

Convenient, cute matcha spot in West Village. Like most matcha cafes in NYC, it's a bit overpriced but I appreciate that they have straight matcha, matcha au lait, and matcha lattes (+ their specialty lattes if you want a sweeter, fun drink). I got the matcha au lait which is a mix of water and plant-based milk. I opted for the macadamia milk and monkfruit sweetener for a bit of sweetness. It's definitely fun to customize your drink! The matcha is nice and strong but a bit grainy. It's a nice lighter pick-me-up to get the matcha au lait compared to the heavier latte. I do think the matcha here could have been whisked more to prevent separation and overall it wasn't anything special. My friend got the ube matcha latte which I tried and was way too sweet and artificial tasting. Would definitely recommend the classic drinks if you truly want matcha.

First sip was really delicious but the level of sweetness is relatively low, so the grassier notes of the matcha and scratchiness(?) of the blended oat milk was not so pleasant. This is great for those who want a strong matcha flavor and alternative milk option.

My wife loved Matchaful. We both got the vanilla zen and she said it was the best Matcha she has ever had. The ingredients and beverage overall tasted a very high-quality. I would likely have picked a different flavor next time but was still impressed with the beverage.

This place is ASStronomical Matcha is really disgusting. It does not taste like much at all. Water down disgusting and genuinely overpriced. Service was great and efficient but genuinely will not come back again . Save your money and go to La Cabra.

Very clean place. Seems like good ingredients, seems all are non dairy friendly. But they also don't really like too much sugar so it really just tasted like grass. The only good one was the earth one with spirulina's but i think they would all be good with more maple syrup (their sweetener of choice). Very small place but also very popular so don't expect this place to have any space for you. pretty much a grab a go. but the real reason i will return --- the vegan gf MATCHa SOFTSERVE. .... whatever tf flavor they do w the whole matcha earth glow mix.... AMAZING. i'm about to go in there, buy a pint and eat it all in one sitting. Taste like a black sesame flavor and doesn't have a weird texture or anything being vegan. but wow new fave dessert to grab. 5

Crazy how Matchaful has grown! This is the first time visiting in years and their locations and menu have expanded considerably. I would say this is a more "commercialized" take on matcha for grab and go drinks vs. a traditional tea ceremony experience. Service was quick. They do have some bites and limited seating at this location. I ended up ordering a hot straight matcha which I thought was reasonably priced. Lattes seemed to range from $8-11. I did wish the matcha was stronger, but for those not used to the taste by itself yet, I can see how it could be off-putting.

Stopped by for an afternoon boost but didn't want the post-coffee jitters, so we opted for some matcha. I got the cold foam matcha and you have the option of having it straight up (just the cold foam) or in latte form. It's nice that they offer plant-based milk alternatives without an extra cost. However, the drinks are a little on the pricy side, so I suppose it's already factoring in the substitution. Nothing really stood out about the matcha. It's definitely not very sweet and the matcha is quite concentrated. There isn't much seating inside so it can be tough on a cold and rainy day. Overall, it was a pretty average matcha drink. It did the job, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

So cute! I am a big fan of matcha so I was excited to finally try this cafe out. I had one of their specialty lattes, which was very good. I also got one of the matcha cookies. The prices are a bit steep here so don't be surprised. Their goodies all looked soo good - from donuts to brownies. Wish I could have tried them all!

Oishii Berry Matcha Latte and Vanilla Zen
Enric A.

Great matcha quality and creative drinks that you can't find in other regular coffee shops. We had the vanilla and oishii latte it was super tasty while not taking away from the matcha flavor. They were also not too sweet! It's on the expensive side but it's worth it. Excited to try the other specialty lattes. The shop is pretty small and only has a couple of seating. So be prepared to drink somewhere else.

Tony and Leek were so welcoming and helpful, I totally recommend this place! Drink was amazing and the vibes were chill!

The newest Matchaful cafe just opened here. It's tiny and zenful. I usually came here for their vegan Matcha soft serve. I highly recommend the soft serve. It's pricey ($8.50+tax). I occasionally get the straight hot matcha and Matchaful. The Matcha flavor is great but unfortunately they made the matcha with the water higher than 175 degrees. Matcha should not be made with boiling water. The service is pretty fast for soft serve. The cafe has limited seatings.

Amazing Creme (Croux) Puffs!!!…read more I got the green tea, black sesame, & earl grey. The cream filling is very generous and the pastry isn't too thick. Loved the outside flavoring. Each one was perfectly made and absolutely delicious. Would come back if ever in New York to try everything else! I still think of these cream puffs often!

We had the raspberry tart and the milk cloud cake. Price points were very high, even for midtown pastries. I enjoyed the milk cloud cake because of the black tea infused cream really came through. The other bits in it were not as impressive--the small chocolate bits were dry and this viscous layer in it (tapioca?) lacked taste. The raspberry tart was very adorable with two macarons. The tart shell was a bit dry and crumbly, but if you like raspberry the flavor does come through in the filling. The staff weren't warm in any way, but we're in midtown which tends to be hectic, and we were there at the end of the day so it's not a dealbreaker or anything really egregious. The place isn't very spacious for seating, so unless you're coming at a time that isn't busy, you might not get a seat/I'd plan around getting your sweets to go. That was no problem for me this time around, though. Overall this place is cute, and if you're looking for an Asian-inspired treat in midtown before a broadway show (Wicked is nearby) this could be an option for you. I just wouldn't expect it to particularly standout in terms of price and quality.

The Jeju Green Tangerine Matcha honestly just tastes like a tangerine selter drink but in the best way, because I don't typically enjoy seltzer or carbonated beverages. I really enjoy the flavor and the carbonation isn't too strong, probably because I brought it home to drink. I don't really taste the matcha but I would definitely still order this again. 2. Matcha Einspanner. This is my first time having an Einspanner so I have no idea what I was expecting but this is DELICIOUS. It's so silky and smooth and the TASTE is just right up my alley. The matcha is light but you can still taste it. Absolutely, would drink this all the time if I could. 3. Purple Sweet Potato Latte. This. This. Omg, why haven't I tried this sooner?! The first sip and initial taste, I almost tasted nothing, just milk. And then all of a sudden, there's an explosion of flavor in your mouth. As a sweet potato lover, I was in heaven. I have absolutely no words for this drink, just try it. 100/10 recommend. This is probably my favorite one out of the 3 that I bought. I went around ... 2:45PM on a Friday and most of the seats were taken, if I remember correctly. There were a decent amount of seats and the space was decent. I liked the minimal aesthetic they had for the design of the interior. Not to forget, the staff at the register was absolutely wonderful, she answered all my questions, she's so sweet. I think I'm disappointed that I haven't tried this place sooner. Y'all get out of your comfort zone and try the Purple Sweet Potato Latte !! Or if not, just try this place out. I will definitely be recommending the Purple Sweet Potato Latte to all my family and friends.

While it was a fun and unique drink, I probably should have opted for something else. The topping was literally like actual tiramisu rather than just tiramisu flavoring, and it felt like there was more ice and tiramisu than latte. Personally, I would have preferred more of the tiramisu flavor without the full tiramisu texture mixed into the drink. That said, it was an interesting concept and I'm glad I tried it. I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying another latte on a future visit.

It happened to be 787 Coffee which I have visited plenty of times on the island and enjoy. With excitement and in Spanish I tell the cashier that I was happy to come across this place as I have tried them out in PR. How is it that this "jibara" apparently from Maricao, spoke to me in broken English while I am talking to her in our native language, total fail. Anyhow, I ordered the coquito hot latte with an extra shot of rum and oat milk, fine, I paid $11 for a very small coffee. Now what I can't believe is that the quesito pastry was $8. I really wanted it but it was not until I paid that I then noticed the price. I sat to eat it while I waited for my name to be called as mentioned by the cashier. I walked around looking at everything, the music very loud and hard for people sitting to have conversations, the place is very colorful and with many PR sayings, however the place also feels very Americanized with the music and layout. I still awaited my name to be called minutes later, but nothing. I approached the cashier, who was just standing there, to ask about my coffee and she wasn't able to tell me so she asked the barista steps away from her. He pointed to a cofre sitting on their counter, it had my name, and when I pointed out that I was waiting for my name to be called, she shrugged her shoulders and smiled like she didn't care. The coffee by now was not all that hot, I never tasted any rum or coquito flavor and felt I wasted my time at this place. What's more upsetting is that I left a nice tip for a service that was not provided. They couldn't even bring the coffee ti my table once they realized it was sitting there and they forgot to call my name. You can find better service elsewhere.
