    Irish Nachos

This place is a ton of fun! The food is good, the drinks are great and the people watching....even better! One of my favorite menu items is only sold on Thursdays, the Irish nachos and we add carnitas. So so so so good!!!!! The Irish nachos give the meat and cheese a nice touch of salt. We've also had it with regular chips and it's still pretty good! Fries are always good! Drink are always perfect! My go to is usually a dirty martini and you can never go wrong with the Padre punch!

Very much enjoyed the st. Patrick event here, as it offered musical entertainment and different food options such as corn beef and Irish stew, which I had alongside some magical and delicious pale ale from local brewery Fall. They offer a nice selection of craft beers. The establishment had extra servers to accommodate for how busy it was. There was a line outside when we left about 7 pm. Next year I will come to the event earlier in order to get the corned beef dinner, as they had run out.

Stopped by before the SDFC vs LAFC game with my group of friends...I'm a LAFC fan, my friends are SDFC fans. The security guard at the door said it was a locals only bar, but he then laughed and let me in. I was literally the only LAFC fan inside, but the vibe was very chill. We ordered a few beers and a couple of snacks. The pretzel was delicious, and everything was well priced. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely visit again. Thank you!!

Come for drinks but you stay for the food. Which isn't the reason you come to your neighborhood sports bar. Normally you find a spot for drinks and then leave to go get food elsewhere. McGregor's does it all - drinks, food, TVs, pool tables, darts, and patio space. Keep trying new things on their food menu as everything has been tasty. If you haven't tried it yet, their clam chowder and fish and chips hit the spot. They have daily specials for food and drinks written on a board where you'd order food. So don't forget to check that out. If you come for a SDFC or Padres game, they have themed drink specials for the night. It can get packed during game days. Parking lot is small. They do have additional parking - follow the signs.

The food is outstanding! And the ambiance is perfect for a friendly neighborhood pub. Service is excellent. Our server was so fantastic, plus we talked to at least 2 other people working who checked on us while we were enjoying our meal. I'll be back again soon.

Great place to go for St. Patrick's Day! They had live music all day and a special menu for the holiday. All of the servers and bartenders were so nice and friendly, as were the other people in the bar. Good vibes and a good time celebrating. I had a couple of drinks and some fries, all of which I got very quickly even though the bar was absolutely packed. The parking lot is always full, but street parking within a block of the bar is not typically hard to find.

Green beer for St. Patty's Day!

The place was packed due to the SDFC game. Great crowd and the bartenders were quick on getting drinks out. After the game was done a band was playing live music. Cool vibes with a mixture of locals and people there to watch the game. Green beer for Saint Patrick's Day!

Great bar to catch some live music and great drinks. The staff was very friendly, they have plenty of tvs to watch sports.

I am regular at Mcgregor's Bar for almost 2 years now, love this place, Kristy makes the drinks perfectly. All the employees give great customer service and the vibe is always welcoming, would 100% recommend coming here for any event. If it's a birthday, or relaxing after work. Great place to be at.

this is a great place to meet each other for some bar food, a cocktail, and some games! A large spacious interior and some patio dining outside so there's lot of space to gather for either a date night or a large birthday party! Make sure to to get the potato skins, they are filling, fresh, and pair perfectly with their thick sour cream and herby ranch dressing! A wide variety of beers on tap and all the cocktails your liver could crave - what's not to love about this place?!

Been here twice now and was a great experience both times. Chicken nachos are great. There was live music the first time we came too which was cool

There is plenty of space, and a fairly open air location, so we didn't over heat, and had plenty of shade. Our server was super kind and gave us all the best recommendations! They even showed us where the SDCC menu corresponded to the normal menu. We ended up splitting the Big Boss burger, French fries, Mac and cheese, tots, Caesar salad, ribs with sauce on the side. It was recommended to mix the ribs with the Mac and cheese, and I have never been happier with a recommendation in my life. This is precisely why I like to ask for the servers favorites!

I loved the stained glass lights at the booths we sat at, they were super cute! We played foosball for a dollar which was fun while it lasted but it didn't give us enough balls to play an entire game. It's been pretty hot in sd and this place has a lot of large open windows that were all open, I usually love that feature but it was an abnormally humid night so we were all pretty hot and sweaty inside. Food was good with affordable prices too, we came here quite late at night, so we were limited to only their late-night menu, but everything was quite tasty, typical bar food. Our standout favorite was the maple sriracha wings for $10.61, their flavor is exactly like described and was a good balance of sweet and spicy! The Butter Burger $10.57 was good too but I think too rich and heavy for me. The prices were great tho! Parking is pretty terrible as is typical for downtown, but we walked from Punch Bowl Social and had Ubered to there at the beginning of the night. ---- Overall: a cool place to hangout, drink, and grab a bite late at night, I'm sad about not being able to play a whole game of foosball, but a generally great time

You have to be within 7 days of your requested reservation date so as soon as I was closer I set up a reservation through Open Table. I actually ended up calling the Tavern and Bowl to see if they had any earlier reservations and they told me if the person who requested an earlier time didn't pay the deposit I'd get the time slot. I am so lucky because these people didn't pay their deposit and we got the time and the lane. Cute thing, you can actually have kids come too, my niece who is 5 got to come along and they had a little device for her so she can push the ball, she ended up beating me. Everyone was so kind and service was so smooth and efficient, we got to bring donuts for our party and my husband and I ordered the carnitas nachos, they were delicious. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by an uplifting open-air environment, truly a breath of fresh air that felt like stepping onto the observation deck of the USS Enterprise. The amazing views of the bay were nothing short of spectacular, bringing a serene beauty that rivals the finest star systems. Over the years, my wife, her girlfriend, and I have become frequent travelers to this culinary haven, beaming back for nearly 15 years--a testament to its enduring allure. The selection of IPAs and mixed drinks is impressive, catering to even the most discerning palates in the galaxy. The choices are vast enough to satisfy anyone embarking on this flavor exploration, whether you prefer a refreshing drink to toast a successful mission or something bolder, like a phaser on stun! The menu features a delightful array of options, including fresh salads, tantalizing finger foods, and, of course, their famed burgers. My wife's enthusiasm for the offerings has always been infectious, and during this visit, she and her girlfriend were on a culinary adventure of their own, indulging in the flavors that have made Nicky Rottens a local favorite. The burgers are truly out of this world--juicy, flavorful, and expertly crafted to ensure a warp-speed experience with every bite. You'll find that each dish is prepared with precision, as if overseen by a skilled chef with the abilities of a Vulcan and the passion of a true culinary Starfleet officer. In conclusion, Nicky Rottens is a prime destination for anyone seeking a vibrant atmosphere, stunning views, and a solid meal. I can confidently say that if you ever find yourself in Coronado, this establishment is a must-visit. After all, it's just one small step for man, and one giant leap into deliciousness!
