Decided to stop here while in town visiting my grandma. I wanted the beer selection and ended up being more impressed with the range of the menu! I got the chicken and waffles and my goodness this is the best fried chicken tenders I've ever eaten. They were great hot and fresh and they were great a couple hours later as leftovers. I would go back there for the chicken alone. The beer list was okay but not as many Nebraska options as I hoped. I was happy to see Schell's on tap from my home state of MN. My grandma got the beer cheese soup and had to stop herself from licking the bowl so I'd say that's a great review as well. read more

I have stopped in here a couple times. Overall the food is really good. They do get very busy and its a seat yourself kind of deal so can get a little annoying. We tried Blatt on Memorial Day and they were surprisingly not that busy. The food was okay, a bit expensive, but we liked it. The service wasn't great, the waitress walked past us multiple times before taking our order. Grilled chicken sandwich for takeout - it was packed up nicely with all components separate- I always appreciate that as things tend to get watery in those plastic boxes. The chicken was excellent and I love their rosemary grain mustard. But it didn't have any pickled fennel and onion like menu described. Sometimes I order an item based on flavor combos so it kinda annoys me when ingredients are left off I'm also pretty bummed that their braised cabbage isn't a side item anymore. Blatt Beer is a very unique place to go. The inside is a lot of wood and a interesting setting. It's a little cramped but there's outside seating as well. They have a really good selection for food and beer. I got the truffle Mac n Cheese and it was fantastic. I got grilled chicken with it also but I don't think that was worth it. A piece of grilled chicken was $4 and it was burnt. The Mac was very cheese and gooey with just the right amount of bread crumbs to top it off. We also got an appetizer called the Buffalo chachos which is just chips in nacho form. They were good, but not a lot of toppings on them. My boyfriend got the Tipsy Cuban and he scarfed it down so quickly I got one bite it was so good. It was served in beer cheese soup and was very delicious! We will definitely be back! Overwhelming the staff isn't cool, but we did and they kept up. Party of 18 showed up during the rush and the Brunch is worth every minute. I have wanted to try the Legacy Blatt since it opened and last Saturday was finally my turn to try it. The atmosphere was almost as good as the North Downtown location, also deciding to use garage doors for this summer days. They have a large patio to the East which I will have to try on a next visit, and the same bar in the middle, with som if the best beers in town on tap. I believe I was told that they gave Pony Kegs so they can change out their beers quicker. I finally settled on Infusion's Nitro Dry Stout which did not disappoint, later I was tweeted that I closed that keg out, in fact the one my beer keep was boasting had tapped out the previous day. We started off with their Sriracha Char-Fried Chicken wings which were pleasantly hot and still moist for Char-Fried, with plenty of true blue cheese sauce to go around. Then I was told that this West O location made their own sausages so of course it got Their Grilled Mix Sausage on a Stick. Beer-braised bratwurst, jalapeño Polish sausage & smoked kielbasa sausage with plenty of both German rosemary mustard, smoked tomato ketchup, and braised kraut, dill potato salad as my sides. I was in pig heaven, all the sausages were moist and cooked to my perfection. There were a few other items I want to try next, the waffles and chicken sound delicious, so I will have another review coming this summer. read more

Raising my review by a star. My wife and I were on a date night a couple of months ago and decided we would give the West-O Blatt another try. Glad we did. We've been back once more in the interim this time with our kids in tow. Service was back on par, food back up to snuff. They do serve some mighty good upscale pub grub, and one of the best Moscow mules I have had in town. Their beer cheese soup is amongst the best in town as well We will wait to see if the service and food stay on par before raising my review by another star. read more

Update: Today I returned to Blatt to do some work on my computer. Blatt has free WiFi for their guests, which is really nice. My server for today was James and he gave me excellent service. My water was never empty, he checked on me regularly, and he was courteous. It's a delight to be served well! Thanks, James! I got the pub peanuts again and thought they were crunchier than last time, which was great. They were perfect paired with the Fresh Squeezed IPA. Yum! I finished out my experience by trying the Falafel Slider. Wow! For a non-falafel joint (and for anywhere, really), it is great falafel. I was not disappointed--delighted, rather. Blatt's happy hour menu makes me...well...happy. Thank you for offering such a good happy hour menu. I hope to return soon. read more

Went to the new location of Blatt Beer & Table in the Shops of Legacy plaza. Huge restaurant space with a large patio. Similar to downtown location, the garage style doors can be opened on nice days. I ordered the chicken and waffles dinner: cornbread & jalapeño waffles, chicken tenders, and side of maple syrup and black pepper gravy. Delicious! Food is reasonably priced and local beers (from Infusion and Brickway) are 1/2 priced during happy hour. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. read more

This is my new favorite! I wasn't sure when we walked in, as it's open seating and it was pretty busy. We finally found a spot at the bar. We had our 14 year year old with us. She wasn't very impressed looking at the menu to start, (she can be picky) but the cute bartender soon had her smiling. We tried the beer pretzels, they came with a honey Dijon and creamy garlic dipping sauce, both I really enjoyed. After googling truffle oil, she she finally decided to try the mac and cheese. She loved it, it had big pieces of bacon & the cheese sauce was to die for. I grew up in a German community, so I had to try the Schnitzel & Spätzle. It was the best I've ever had! It had had just the right hint of Dijon in the sauce. My honey tried the Blatt burger, which he loved. The bartender recommended several beers based on what my fiancé normally likes. He now has a new favorite beer. Finally, dessert was fantastic. We had the Irish brownie and S'mores. We fought over the last bite, it was so good. Love the beer menu from local breweries. I took my Grandma to lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. I have been to the downtown location several times and loved it so I was excited to try the new location (which is much closer to my house). The service was a bit slow (possibly due to the fact that the location had only been open a few weeks), but our waiter was very friendly and even made small talk with my Grandma and boxed up her leftovers for her. The decor at this location is very similar to the location downtown, with garage doors for walls which can be opened for ventilation during nice weather. We started off with the Bavarian Pretzel Bites. They were fantastic! They are served with German Rosemary Mustard and Gruyere Fondue for dipping and both are great options. For my meal I ordered the Blatt Mac (Cavatappi pasta, cheddar béchamel, crispy panko and havarti crust, smoked paprika, chives). The flavor was great and the the panko crust really elevated the texture of the dish. My Grandma ordered the Manhandler (Smoked pulled pork, smoked kielbasa sausage, Blatt BBQ sauce, red onion, garlic dill pickles) which was pretty entertaining because she weighs about 110 pounds. This sandwich was huge and she reported that it was delicious (she took the leftovers home for dinner and possibly lunch the next day). This location is just as good as its downtown counterpart. The food is delicious and the decor is also nice. Parking can be a pain in Legacy but this building is slightly south of the main strip and has its own parking lot with ample parking. It makes a great addition to the other options in this area and I am excited that I can now enjoy Blatt without having to drive downtown. read more

Just tried this place out, pretty crowded around 6pm on Sunday, but then it cleared out quickly. Prices are not bad for the food, beers are a little high, but then who isn't! We had the Chicken and Waffles, very good! The waffles were made out of jalapeños and corn bread, with maple syrup. Took a bite of the roasted jalapeño pepper and whoa was it hot! I ordered online for pick up, I walked in, there were employees at the bar having a good chat, some customers seated at tables. There is a sign that said "please wait to be seated" but the people ahead of me sat themselves. Probably a good move considering nobody seemed too worried about anyone walking in the door. Nobody acknowledged me, so I grabbed my food and left. The burgers were decent, the fries were dry and hollow, almost as if they had been thrown back into the fryer to heat them up. I love Blatt! It is one of my favorite places to go eat! Especially the one at Shops of Legacy. However, I am disappointed to see they switched up their menu entirely. They no longer have their amazing chips and queso or their fun truffle or garlic fries. My go to order from there is their dixie chicken strips and fries but they have raised their price for that meal up to $19! That is way too expensive (especially for me as a college student lol).
