Asked for meatballs and substituted banana peppers for basils. That was perhaps the only really good thing beyond their basic service. This still doesn't offset the fact that sometimes, just sometimes, the workers don't seem to be cooperative. Asked for water cups and the dude straight up said "we don't have any water cups" so I said it was fine. And then moments later, a customer in line asked another worker for water cups and they got the water cups from their stack behind the counter. I then asked for it again and got them but still, maybe the other worker doesn't know? But they've been working there for a while I swear lol. I still come back here cause of fam though. Sometimes they over burn the crust, but this part about consuming burnt carcinogens wasn't an issue to me. A side note, don't get the meatballs. I just wanted something small + I thought they had a deal where they advertise a better price if you get meatballs + side of your choice but the receipt shows that the price was a little more than that advertise so it's not really saving anything if you go for their deal. I was personally experimental with my choice but anyway, stick to what they are good at, I.e. pizzas. read more

The food and service are usually good, but there is no consistency in how the pizzas are put together. Sometimes, they scimp on the toppings. I started going to the one in South Pasadena store for this reason. Tonight, my wife decided to order from the Alhambra store, and sure enough, it happened again. My favorite place for fast food build-your-own pizzas. Their ingredients are always fresh, and there's a nice selection of meats (pepperoni, ham, spicy chorizo, ghost pepper chicken meatballs, applewood bacon, grilled chicken and Italian sausage), vegetables (peppers, mushrooms, spinach, pineapples, and more), and additional add ons. It is pricier than your typical regular fast food pizza chains, but I like the crust better. And when I want more than just 1-2 toppings on a pizza, blaze is always my go-to. They do have vegan options for a few toppings and crusts, if you're vegan. Occasionally they do oven it a little too long, and my crust is a little burnt, but usually it's perfect and crispy! They are located in a pretty busy plaza, but there's usually plenty of places to park. read more

Update: Just FYI, the "business owner" responding to reviews apologizing & directing to go to the Blaze website to provide additional information to "allow [them] to make this up to [you]" is for show. I did just that on the website shortly after receiving that review response, but I was never looking for anything back in return besides acknowledgment. However, I never heard anything back. The one star is because it's the lowest rating I can give. I had another unsatisfactory experience at another nearby location long before here, but at least there the owner reached out to me directly in a private message & provided an apology & even credit to compensate for the experience. Very unfortunate that good customer service is more often hard to find.. in restaurant/hospitality especially, where customer service should be a main priority. I've given this place many chances but it seems like the staff need better training or just bad management. Seems like no one cares. Blaze pizza just reminds me a little bit of New York pizza where I can have my thin crust and enjoy simple, oven pizza with a nice crisp crust and chewy center. It's also nice that you can customize your pizza to either overfill or undersell your pizza, so you'd have to gauge for yourself of how much you want to put in to get a balance of being under/overfilled. It's a good pizza for thinner crust that's baked in a pizza oven. It doesn't have an artisan feel to it, but it satisfies the pizza craving. read more

I like the process of seeing the ingredients placed on the dough and watch it all come together. There're tons of toppings to choose from so of course, I always resort to building my own. The process is always quick, the crust is crispy and don't forget to have them add fresh arugula once it's ready and out of the oven. With the new social distancing in place and new heightened regulations for COVID, employees ensure that gloves are worn by every faculty member, masks are required for entry and their awareness of minimal capacity were all followed. Blaze pizza is great and consistent with other Blaze chains I've visited. The staff is helpful, social distancing is marked on their floors, and hand sanitizer is provided at the registers. For those that have never visited a Blaze pizza, they offer gluten free and cauliflower crust. You can also do half pizza orders. They have cheesy garlic knots, brownies, and giant chocolate chip cookies sprinkled with sea salt. Be sure to say yes when they ask if you'd like it heated up. So good! This chain is located in a large outdoor mall. There's plenty of parking and I went during lunch rush. It was fast and they offer delivery. You can always preorder online as well. They offer vegan cheese and soyrizo for vegans or vegetarians. You'll find all the toppings you're looking for and more. read more

I was craving for blaze pizza on a Thursday afternoon in February. I preordered on their app and selected time for pick up. I was able to find parking during lunch time and inside was empty of few customers. I got my pizza from the pick up counter. I ordered special large $12 pepperoni w/pesto drizzling and cheese bread. The cheese bread looked so cheesy as I took the first bite. The pepperoni pizza was thin crust and it has a really tasty crust. At first the pizza was kinda salty from the pesto drizzling. Terrible service from Favian G. Started off with no greeting and on his phone. Store was empty as well. When I ordered two signature dishes, he was quick to add all the toppings without even asking me if I wanted anything else (normally they ask). He then slapped the parchment paper on my pizza like it was done without my consent. I had to keep asking for more toppings and I think he realized I was annoyed that he started to fix his attitude?
