Location has the worst customer service and horrible times. Never enough employees. The oven person is also the cashier, which is messed up bc it's a lot on one person. The people who add toppings move like sloths. Zero energy to help indecisive customers move along. The whole business model of creating your own pizza is the worse. It holds up the line. Some people create pizzas that are so heavy, takes so long to cook, which further holds lines bc it takes up oven space. So nothing but given an attitude and waiting is the general experience here. Went in to get a pizza. The guy making the pizza was very impatient. My dad was a bit confused what a topping was and the employee replied, it's listed there and pointed to the labels. Except my dad didn't realize that the labels corresponded to the position it was in so he asked again what it was and was still told to just go read it himself. So he never found out what it was in the end. 3 people after me, the employees were told to no longer take anymore orders. This was at 7:30 pm. So I thought maybe they were closing. I asked what time they closed, 11 pm. Wait. So you close at 11 pm but started turning people at 7:30?! You need 3.5 hours to get ready to close? I watched as lots of people got turned away. They said they were short staffed. But there were like 5 employees and 2 making the to go orders as they came in (which they were still accepting). Seems like bad business to close 3.5 hours early with no sign on the door and just sort of waiting around for to go orders. It didn't look like there was any shortage of toppings as all the containers were full. We went for a BOGO deal and it was so worth. If you're craving a thin crust pizza, then you'll love this place! On top of the freshly made dough and fire roast - you'll enjoy the "build your own option". There's not a limit in terms of how many toppings or variety you can add on to a BYO either! I love that their pizza is NOT greasy or entrenched in red sauce, which overwhelms the flavor of most pizza restaurant chains. My boyfriend is a meat lover and I prefer strictly veggies + pineapples on mine. This place is great since we're different when it comes to what goes on our pizza. This is going to sound really weird (but don't knock it until you try it) but my favorite BYO pizza is red sauce, parmesan, feta, and mozzarella chunks with red onion, green bell peppers, zucchini bits, basil and PINEAPPLE. Don't forget to try their pesto drizzle. I only give this place a 4 stars because they messed up on my boyfriend's pizza. The dough was not properly cooked and we had to bake it in our own oven as a to-go. And since they didn't cook it properly, some of the toppings fell off. I was here for three and a half grueling hours for free pizza, courtesy of LeBron James and his move to the Lakers. For the food and service, overall.....Great pizza, prompt customer service, and overall friendly staff. Now.....please allow me to rant here, and let me give you a backstory.....yes, the line was long enough to merit that 3 1/2 hour wait, and most of it was owed to the fact that many people genuinely thought a free pizza party to celebrate LeBron would mean LeBron would show up and say hi to his customers (LeBron James is a spokesperson and shareholder of Blaze Pizza). Alas, it was not to be, and it looked like it was not meant to be at the Culver City location either, but I digress. Free pizza doesn't deter me and the possibly thousands of people waiting in the heat. If there's one thing that irritates me the most, it's people who cut in line.....I have posted two pictures as my exhibit A and B. You see the group of people on the far left in the first picture I took? These people thought trying cutting in line seamlessly, pretending that they just bumped into friends, in front of me and this other family would be a piece of cake. And to their surprise when they got called out on it, they left....only to do the same thing to somebody else, by cutting into the very front of the line only a few minutes later! Needless to say, some of us including myself were NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS. In the end, after politely confronting them on their dishonesty, we successfully got this group of morons kicked out of the line. It's really not fair to the hundreds of people who have already been waiting in line (some for hours), and even worse for the people who are about to get cut off because of people like them! Sadly the managers were powerless in trying to stop this from happening, but I could understand why. Policing your customers and possibly accusing them of cutting (especially at a time when there's a possible, impending King James arrival) might hurt your business. I give credit to the managers in this case, because they wouldn't try and stop us patrons from trying to call out the cutters in line, so good on you, management! Here's what I think about you people who cut in front of all of us who waited patiently to feast on free pizza: 1) PLEASE.....don't cut in line for things like this. Yes it's going to be a long wait, and certainly free pizzas from Blaze will cause a long wait to occur no matter what the situation, but everyone is going to be guaranteed to get whatever it is they need, no matter what place in line you're in. Exercise some patience and try to have a good time, bring some water, make some friends, read a book! It's the summer! 2) You make it worse for yourselves when you try and pretend you don't know what's going on, so don't try to hide and feign ignorance by only speaking Chinese to your friends, especially when we just heard you speak to your friends in ENGLISH only a few moments after you cut in line the first time. Don't try to pull that shit and pretend that you don't know what we're saying. 3) A bit asinine and off topic but who the hell wears A SWEATER AFTER A HEAT WAVE?!? Are you nuts!??? I am being very kind by blocking out your faces here, but you seriously are just asking to be called out based on your fashion choices. Wearing a sweater in the dead of heat (especially after record breaking temperatures) is plain stupid, and by wearing that hoodie, you're asking--nay, BEGGING--everyone to remember you as that dumbass in the hoodie who thought cutting in line would be something we wouldn't notice. SIGH. A word to future customers who chance upon a golden opportunity such as free pizza: be courteous to your staff that is working on your food. They are great people, as they demonstrated by working efficiently under pressure. They keep a tight ship running. And please, be patient. We are all infallible and prone to fall to vices, but in the final analysis patience and gratitude ought to be the forefront when considering that you're getting free stuff. Went here with some friends prior to a movie. I'd seen Blaze Pizza multiple times from visiting the area (Edwards Alhambra Theater is in the area) and I told my friend I wanted to try something non Asian, so she recommended this place. I wasn't particularly hungry, so my friend ordered a pizza and we ended up sharing it. The drinks were just standard fountain drinks as well as some aquas frescas, so I don't have much to say about those. My friend got a pizza with mozarella, green bell peppers, pepperoni, and tomatoes. The pizzas here are pretty flat, and come with a calorie count, so that I can keep track of how much I'm eating. For the amount of calories, they are still quite filling per slice. The flavors are solid as far as pizza places go, and the ingredients taste fresh. I can't say this is the best pizza I've ever had, but it's definitely solid and something to consider if you're in the area and craving quick, fresh made to order pizza. read more

Also their employee went from sweeping the floor to handling my food without washing her hands, and never admitted she was wrong all while giving bad attitude and running away from the situation. First of all, let me start off by saying I love blaze pizza. This review is not about blaze pizza the company, which I think is excellent. This review is about this particular location. I have had problems in the past with this location relating to their poor customer service, haphazardness with the veggie station (sometimes I see meat and cheese in the veggies and of course all types of disorder and messiness), and general lack of care. This night takes the cake. Had a late night pizza craving, and I'm vegan so I opted for blaze since they have a lot of good options and are open late. So I got a build your own and right away there is a major problem. Apparently they had some type of big event or something and they are out of basil, mushrooms, spinach, and red onion. Those are all four ingredients I love on my pizza. Right there I considered walking out but since blaze pizza has so many great toppings I was still able to make a pizza I was happy with. Still, it's unacceptable to be out of all those toppings. So I pay and I'm waiting for my pizza. After a while I am still waiting and I start to pay attention to what the employees are doing since I'm wondering what's taking so long. So I look and see one of the employees is sweeping behind a roll away counter. There is a ton of flour and other food stuffs on the floor, plus she is handling a dirty broom. She goes directly from sweeping/cleaning to using the big metal spatula to move the pizzas around. Then she goes back to sweeping. Then she takes my pizza out of the oven with the spatula, and goes to cut it. All of this without washing her hands. So I tell her, rather politely for the situation, that she should wash her hands before handling my food again. Well she is holding the pizza with the pizza cutter and some other kitchen instrument and gestures towards them and says something to the effect of I'm not touching your food, I'm just using these. So I ask her to please wash her hands before handling the food. She storms off to the sink, washes her hands, then goes to the back. The other employee in the front must have heard me, because he went over to the sink, washed his hands, then asked me if I wanted to change the cutter because I'm vegan. I normally don't care about that, but I said yes because I didn't want them to use the pizza cutter that had just been touched by the lady who was sweeping the floor. Anyway, he never even apologized for the situation and seemed to miss the point entirely. I'm not some germaphobe clean freak who needs people to wash their hands every time they get close to my food. I think it's very reasonable to not have to ask someone who was cleaning a very dirty area to wash their hands. This should be standard training for anyone handling food. I'm just wondering what other types of practices are falling by the wayside at this blaze pizza. Last point I want to make here. I'm not trying to insult this business, but what is going on with management here? At every other blaze pizza, customer service is excellent and I have never had issues with cleanliness. If you're handling food, handle food. No need to wash your hands every 5 minutes. But if you're handling cash or cleaning, wash your hands before you handle food! It's not that hard. I used to work fast food so I understand it's a thankless, difficult job. But management really needs to step up here. On a plus, the pizza still tasted good. read more

Whatever you do, do NOT order delivery. There is no quality control. We ordered two pizzas last night (3/21/20), and one was burnt - we had throw the entire large pizza away because I was not going to allow my child to eat it- and the second one was skimpy on toppings- we ordered 7 toppings and there was maybe toppings on 60% of the pizza. And the real kicker, when we called to inquire what happened, no one answered the phone. So we sent feedback via the app- and their response was "During your next visit, please feel free to ask the team members for more toppings." I guess that's their way of telling me to never order delivery again. Word of advice- if you must order delivery, make sure you put in instructions to not burn your pizza or to skimp on the toppings. But I think probably since their pizza is excellent. Order: Red Vine - Ovalini Mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, parmesan, basil, red sauce, olive oil drizzle w/classic dough. This pizza made it home and was still crispy when I went for seconds. Totally passes the quality and quantity for takeout. Pizzas are a bit on the soggy side. Wasn't cooked long enough. Ingredients seem fresh. When you ask them to add extra of an item they literally put 3 pieces... The workers are slightly rude and seem like they don't want to be there. They also didn't confirm the order or repeat it back to us when paying so my friend actually paid for my order too, they assumed we were paying together even though we ordered separate custom build your own pizzas... When picking up the pizzas we waited outside. They did not come out to call us or let us know, until we figured we should check on them. They seemed annoyed as if that's something so difficult for them to do...we asked for ranch and pesto sauce when we picked up the pizzas. There didn't seem to be many people in line maybe 4 in total including our 2 so it was not busy at all. There was 3 of them working as well...I wouldn't necessarily bring race into this but we were not of the same race as the workers (3 were the same race) this may have well been that case of subtle racism. It was Valentine's Day and it was busy, however there is no excuse to forget food safety procedures and customer service skills Issac was in front writing down the names of the customer on the parchment paper. With that SAME glove he would touch the dough and spread the cheese. A customer told him to change his gloves after using the permanent marker. Issac goes to get a new pair of gloves. I love blaze pizza but unfortunately, this location is by far the worst location I've been to. I've come here at least 5x (all the way from Glendale bc I like the stores in this shopping center) and every single time I've come here, something has gone wrong. The first time they were out of stock on a bunch of toppings (I only put 2 toppings on my pizza and was assed out with none), second time they didn't have fountain coke but offered bottled coke, the third time they didn't have any ice and no parmesan cheese, the fourth time, none of the fountain drinks were working, and today, they had no basil (again, one of the 2 toppings I get), no jalapeños for my bf's pizza, no parmesan cheese, and the fountain coke was hooked up to the cherry coke. I'd recommend if you come to this location to check if they have everything you expect on your pizza and to drink before you get in line bc I feel obligated to continue with my order, even though I find out there are certain items missing halfway down the line (or after paying already in terms of drinks). read more

They're super quick and efficient - I'm able to time it perfectly between ordering on the app and arriving right when my pizza comes out! No wait and super simple when I want to grab and go! The people working behind the station are super friendly and willing to give me a sauce container of their delicious pesto garlic sauce. It's the special sauce I always dip my pizza and it just makes everything SO GOOD. The only thing I'd like more is for their pizza to be more saucy... If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered 2 pizzas and 2 salads. I asked if he could give me fresh salad because there were just a little bits of salad left in the tin, and he said yes. I wish to give this place 0 stars. Second time i came during "online only." Which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. What's the difference between me ordering online in person at the store on the crappy app/website and someone just serving me and taking my order on the line? Also your online order prints out thirty minutes later after I place it in person at the store. I came tonight and first thing I saw is some white teenager yell "FUCK" very loudly BEFORE ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND EVEN CAME INTO THE STORE. Already a bad first impression.
