Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try the coffee. Parking was easy, and I found a spot right outside. When I walked in, I was finishing up a phone call. The employee at the register didn't acknowledge me, which I initially understood since I was still on the phone. However, after I ended my call, there still wasn't any greeting or acknowledgment. She looked away and walked toward the back, which immediately gave me the impression that customer service wasn't a priority. A moment later, another employee did turn around to acknowledge me, but by then I had already decided to leave. The shop also had a strong odor that made the atmosphere less inviting for me. Because I didn't end up ordering anything, I can't comment on the quality of the coffee. Based on the menu, it seemed fairly straightforward, but without trying it, I can't give an opinion on the drinks themselves. Located in downtown Alhambra, is a cute little Taiwanese Inspired Cafe. Walking in, you first order at the counter and you're given a number for your table and they will bring over your order. It's very casual and plenty of people come here to chat or do some work. There's plenty of outlets available. I ordered a black tea, popcorn chicken rice plate, and a sun-dried tomato pesto chicken. The black tea tasted like a regular black tea, not watered down at all. Definitely refreshing. The sandwich was very filling! It looks like a regular sized sandwich but I was not able to finish it! The chicken was very moist and soft, not dry at all. The pesto had a really good flavor, and the bread was really soft and crispy for a sourdough bread. I love when a sourdough is done right. It came with a salad and a red dressing, I forgot whether if it was tomato or strawberry, but I really enjoyed it all. I also took a bite of the popcorn chicken rice plate and never could have thought to eat it with rice, corn and cabbage. Chicken was again, most and soft. It was also flavorful with a bit of kick. It goes really well with rice and felt like a really cozy meal. I really enjoy the food and atmosphere. I'll definitely come back to try the other items on the menu! A cute and nice little tea shop in Alhambra. Very hip decor and style with a decent amount of seating area. Parking in the area can be tricky sometimes so plan accordingly. They have a nice selection of drinks from tea to fruit drinks and more. I always love trying a milk tea when I go to new places and here I had to try the Earl Grey Milk Tea. For toppings they were out of grass jelly so I did Lychee jelly and Boba. Along with that I also got to try their Ube Milk Tea as well. The Milk Tea was ok in my opinion. I think it lacked depth and the after taste of Earl grey and the boba could have been a little more fresh. The Ube was ok as well, once again felt more watery and lacked depth even though both drinks were with easy ice. Still a great place to get some tea and relax in Alhambra. When we entered there wasn't a line waiting to order, but maybe a few people waiting for their orders. I ordered a teriyaki chicken rice plate no drinks. Amounts were also a pretty decent size for the price. I tried my friend's drink - he got a matcha milk tea and ...it was bad. The green color was super dull and it wasn't good matcha at all. Pretty watery and very sweet. I wouldn't recommend the drink to anyone. Wait time for food was awfully long...waited about 45 minutes for food to arrive. Granted they did have several food orders but the order of which they came out was confusing. 1 of my friends got their's way earlier than the rest of us. By the time she was about half done the other fried foods came out. Mines came out last and everyone was pretty much half way through the meal. We did try to check back with the cashier and he wasn't that informative tbh. He'd just say it's coming in a few but no apologies or reasoning for the delay. Garlic fries were just spicy powder fries with salt. Zero garlic. I would pass. The boba was terrible. The drink was good but the boba was a blob a mush. Not chewy and so soggy the balls mushed into one big ball. The popcorn chicken was also the same spicy powder even though we ordered mild and no spicy. It was very salty. At least it was juicy. i've been coming here for a while. I used to come here a lot when I was in college and had to study for exams. There's a lot of seating and space for studying but sometimes you need to wait as it could be crowded. The food and the snacks here are pretty good. It does bother me that in the menu the ingredients are not detailed. This can be an issue for those with dietary restrictions or just straight up. Don't like some things. I had the egg salad with truffle over toast and it was really good. The bread was light yet chewy and perfectly toasted. We also split some popcorn chicken and fries, which were also perfectly cooked. The tea was alright, not bad but not great. over the years, well since my last review which was six years ago, things have slightly changed here. They don't have as great of service anymore. The girl working at the cashier was very friendly, but there's this young boy who kind of looks really grumpy and doesn't say much but just like hands you your food like he's had a really bad day. I don't know who interviews people here, but they maybe should outline the importance of customer service. Ive tried the milk teas but they all taste watered down and just overly milky. Theres practically no tea flavor. All the other drinks are pretty syrup and powder heavy so I tend to stay away from all that in general. Service is a hit or miss, nothing notable. This place has good value! The boba was warm and cooked well - I liked their black milk tea more than the mango but mango was still good. I'm wowed by the size of the popcorn chicken plate. They give you so much chicken and it was delicious. The garlic fries could also be customized with spice which was a huge plus. It was super crispy, hot, and tasty. 10/10 for both! The wontons were good but I probably wouldn't have gotten it again. It's a bit expensive and PSA they have shrimp in them but it's not noted anywhere on the menu. This was a bummer because my boyfriend is allergic. The cafe itself is a little dingy. The tables aren't really cleaned or taken care of. It's not dirty, just not nice. I loved Bon Appetea. Especially, its popcorn chicken. I went there today. I have to say I am disappointed. I called to order 20 minutes ahead when they told it will take 10-15 minutes. When I arrived, my food was ready and my drink wasn't. I waited. I forgot to mention, for medical reasons, I ordered 25% sweetness for my drink and mild popcorn chicken. During the wait, the drink prepping area was with 3-4 people chit chatting. After I got the drink, I went to water cooler side to put my straw in. I took a sip. It was way too sweet for 25%. I don't have time to wait for them to make another one besides, I can sense unpleasantness at the drink prepping area. So, I just pour 1/3 of the drink out and added water, which to a slightly sweet level. I didn't taste the popcorn chicken until I go home to my family. It's far more spicy than mild. I don't think Bon Appetea is my go to popcorn chicken shop anymore. What a shame. read more

Delicious food and open really early for breakfast! Stopped by after the farmers market and service was very fast! Cute little seating area with multiple tiny tables. Very cozy feeling! Teriyaki chicken was well seasoned and came with a side of slaw and corn. The popcorn chicken was a tad bit on the salty side but went super well with the rice plate! The basil flavor was nice as well (you can adjust how spicy you want it too!) French fries were alright, could've been a little bit more crispy but you can also adjust a spice level for them. The hazelnut latte had a super strong coffee taste and the matcha latte was on the sweeter side but didn't overrun the matcha flavor!
