My fiancé goes to the closest Blaze location, waits in a very long line just to find out they won't honor the Pi day deal at this location. What an absolute let down. Bar none, this pizza is the best! I've been going to Blaze here at the outlets since it opened. It has never disappointed: Ingredients are always fresh - even the dough (never frozen) The crust is never floppy (I love this!) There are options for all your food needs (gluten-free, keto, vegan ...) Individual pizzas are the bomb for picky family members Employees are super helpful and happy The line goes quick If they get your order wrong for some reason, it's re-done promptly It's easy to order from their app (I do it all the time) They have a points system (FREE Pizzas!) SIDE NOTE: I am a SUPER-fan of their Cauliflower Pizza Crust (NOT the Keto - it's gross). It's tasty, crunchy and is super low in carbs. Even lower than the Keto crust for some reason. Whenever I've had an issue with anything from my pizza to the app, I talk to the manager, who is very accommodating. I really appreciate this. I never feel like I'm inconveniencing them. Horrible service at this location! Loved the Encinitas location but it closed. The FAQ on blaze says if you need to modify or cancel the order to to call the store directly (see photo). I needed to get a human at the store as the app wasn't letting me adjust the order so I tried calling the store for several hours until 4:30 pm but no one picked up. The stores voicemail says its full and can not accept messages. This is a lose-lose for the customer and for the store (all around). Not a great way to run a business IMO - penny wise pound foolish. read more

Ok food, terrible hospitality. Don't trust they're trained well. Wanted to grab quick pizza dinner with my wife. We were looking forward to sitting down and relaxing after long days at work. Came in at 7:00 PM. The ambiance of the restaurant is not great. Empty tables disorderly, not really looking clean, but the strong smell of disinfect (like a pinesol smell). The employees were not unfriendly, but couldn't have cared less if we were there. They were starting to break down the service line (at 7:00 pm). Took the order told (no suggestions, just 'what do you want?' And then sending us to go to the cashier to order drinks and pay. I regret the tip I left. Gave us cups and that was that. We had to figure out where the fountain drinks, napkins, and condiments were. We were one of two tables in the place. They shouted out our name when the pizzas were ready. Went to retrieve them without a word from the staff. This team was not well trained or led. The music was all over the place. Different volumes, sometimes on, sometimes off. Mexican song... no music... quiet for a while... then a Brazilian song... soft at first, then turned way up, then down. Staff definitely in control of the music. Whoever is leading this restaurant has no idea about hospitality, guest care, or leading people. The inmates are clearly running this asylum. I won't dine here again and won't order takeout. There are plenty of better, more professional options nearby. read more

Yesterday my family and I took a drive from the OC to Carlsbad and decided to eat pizza at Blaze!!! I wasn't going to write a review but I just had to put down what I saw... As I was eating I noticed one of the employees doing her very best to keep the restaurant clean. She refilled all the condiments from the Chili Pepper Seasoning and the Parmesan cheese containers. She wiped down tables, refilled the Lemonade and continue to look around to main a safe a clean environment. I was blown away at her attentiveness to keep things clean. We like that we can choose whatever we want on our pizza, but we learned that, to have it made just as we like, we have to go through the physical line. We were disappointed when we ordered it on-line to be picked up. The ingredients were very skimpy! The pizza is always good I love blaze pizza. The service there today was not good though. One of the guys working there, some white dude with a nose piercing and a bucket hat, was being an absolute d-bag to his coworkers and it made me pretty upset. He was belittling them in front of myself and other customers. While he was doing that, he was forgetting to take out some pizzas and burned them. Just ruined my experience even though the pizza was good. Imma head to the one closer to San Diego now. The build your pizza is the best option for you can customize it the way you want it. I like to go with the red sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bacon, onions, mushrooms, black olives, roasted garlic, and do the sea salt and oregano on top. It always comes out fresh and delicious. read more

I got to eat at Blaze a couple of days before the big restaurant shut-down for Covid-19. The staff was friendly and the service was very fast and efficient. The pizzas were super yummy and very reasonably priced. It's the same concept as Pieology. You order at the counter, they bake your pizza fresh, and then call you up to the counter when your order is ready. They have some fun specialty pizzas on their menu. I went out on a limb and ordered their bbq chicken pizza. It was super good, but I did find the bbq sauce WAY WAY TOO SWEET. It was distractingly, cloyingly syrupy sweet. So I probably won't order this pie again, but the hubby's and Wee One's pizzas were both amazing, so I would certainly come back to Blaze, but I won't order anything with bbq sauce again. read more

Ordered several times via the Blaze app and pizzas were always ready, fresh and delicious. Seating was fine, lots of people here but there's usually a few extra seats. Service was great on our recent visit, there was a mistake on one of our orders, and they quickly resolved it and we were so happy they found it first and helped make it right before we even knew about it. This is one of the better Blaze locations. Happy to eat here whenever we are shopping at the outlets or in the Carlsbad area. I like places who serve pizza fast, and by fast I don't mean pre-made slices which just have to be heated up. These guys kee the pizza base ready and you can build your own with unlimited toppings. We got the BBQ chicken signature pizza and added some veggies extra. They cook the pizza in a stone grill kinda thing and in about 10 minutes our pizza was ready. Cool place to get pizza made, your way! The menu is hard to figure out. Luckily the first person to greet you asks if we've been there before. I ordered a customized pizza (o could not find this on the menu) which meant endless toppings on your pizza! Vegetarian/Vegan eaters!! They have vegan chicken and vegan cheese. Cool huh?! I'm vegetarian so I chose to try out the vegan chicken along with spinach, roasted red bellpeppers, black olives, artichokes and mozzarella cheese. I also requested oregano to be sprinkled on top, and oh, the pesto sauce! It was a full size and shall I say, GOOD size pizza for me. Hah! Without a drink it was less than $10. Great deal and I took the two slices I couldn't fit in my stomach home to eat for later. The reason why this wasn't a 5-star is because it was messy.. like, going down Panda Express or Chipotle, I rarely see a mess around the food I'm picking out for my meal. Staff are rude. Didn't offer the usual service I've gotten before and I was showing the spot to a friend. They're lack of professionalism was embarrassing if you don't want to have people build their own take it off the menu instead of getting snarky at the customer. On top of that they overcharged me for two build your own it came out to $40 and told me i didnt need my receipt, foolishly I said that's fine because i scanned my app. Nope I never got my point either. The older owners of this location were great and it was a good spot then. Now they size out the portions and try to limit you. They also don't participate in the franchise promos, but don't tell you that until they refuse to honor them at the register. Find a different Blaze location or another pizza place. read more

On my way down from Camarillo to San Diego and stopped off at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets for a break and a late lunch. Ate here before and like the last time the service and the food was great. Had the original crust meatlovers pizza with garlic and mushrooms. Ordered and it was ready in 10 minutes. Military discount as well. Pizza was cooked perfectly and it was not soggy or overdone. Great workers and friendly atmosphere. $7.95 with any amount and type of toppings you want and 3 crusts to choose from. read more

Yummy! Took the kids here for a quick dinner. Kids had a great time picking the toppings for my pizza, but just the pepperoni for theirs. Turns out they picked some delicious toppings...from the salami to the smelly cheese "gorgonzola" and cherry tomatoes and roasted garlic... I'm drooling just thinking about it! We also got the s'mores pie, which was as expected, and the sweet blood orange lemonade. I love the strapless lids! Genius! I hated the paper straws that would wilt and fall apart due to moisture like after 5 minutes...so dumb! But these lids are awesome!
