Think, fast food, think subway, think pizza, think togo's, think chipotle all in one. The line up and serve is very reminiscent of chipotle. The thin cut maximized for profit is reminiscent of subway. But all together enjoyable. We stopped here after a day of playing in Carlsbad. The service was cheerful and the employees were all very pleasant. I sell items similar to these and was impressed how well they managed the expensive ingredients without coming off as cheapskates. They had a nice selection of toppings and the employees did a good job if making a pie. Their standardized size pie combined with super hot oven and ultra thin crust means you get your food super quick. I basically had enough time to scope a table and fill my drink before my food was ready. The thin crust had a nice gently crisp without being crunchy and the toppings were piping hot. Over all hard to beat bang for your buck and quick serve pizza. The only reason they did not get a 5 was the quality of some of the ingredients. There is always a trade off when the price pint is super low. They used paper thin pepperoni and minimal quantity of cheese. I would have been good paying a buck or so more and stepping up a notch on the ingredients. All in all though, a great spot and we will be back. read more

Blaze Pizza has a great assortment of pizza toppings. After going down the line and choosing all of my toppings (similar to Chipotle), the pizza cooked in 2 minutes. It was so quick that by the time I had paid for it at the register and filled my drink cup (with delicious blood orange lemonade) it was ready. The crust is thin (which I'm usually not a huge fan of) but very tasty, and the spicy sauce (one of multiple options) was perfect. There were many toppings to choose from and they all looked good. I'm usually a pizza minimalist, but because of the "create your own" pizza's low price I piled 7 toppings on it. They also serve wine and beer if you're into that. I'd say for the quality of the ingredients, the taste of the pizza, the cost, and the time to prepare, Blaze Pizza is definitely worth trying. I'll certainly go back. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the lack of side orders. The pizza was great, but would have been better if I could have had some garlic knots, or garlic bread, or something else along those lines to go with it. read more

This is my favorite food stop when I am at the outlet mall. This customize your own pizza concept seems exceptionally popular in SoCal but Blaze seems to do a really good job at it.They also offer a few standard creations on their menu that you can add to if you desire. They are reasonably priced and their thin crust base is really tasty by itself. They have a great pesto that works well even if you order your pizza with minimum cheese.They offer a wide range of vegetarian toppings - jalapenos + pineapple for the win! Came here for an early dinner on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. Basically like a chipotle/subway ordering but for pizza! The dough for my pizza was a little undercooked and not as crispy as I would like. I LOVE how they have grilled whole garlic cloves, delish! Love the concept here! It's like a Chiptole assembly line but for pizza! They do a good job catering to health conscious consumers as well as people who may have an intolerance to gluten with their gluten free crust. You have the choice of selecting from their signature pizzas or building your own. I decided to build my own. I made mine with gluten free crust and went with the spicy sauce. I added salami, vegan cheese, roasted garlic, cherry tomatoes, zucchini and spinach. YUM! The pizza was delicious except for the black crust on the outter edge of the pizza. To be fair they do ask you if you want that removed so I'd do that next time. This place is a really nice place for a quick healthy eat. Also great for vegans and people with gluten free allergies. Definitely the best choice for food at the outlets in Carlsbad. We ordered 2 have-it-your-way pizzas for 7.99 each. The crust is really thin and also mushy even after being baked. The edges of the crust were burnt but the thin crust stayed soggy. This posed a problem when eating because I couldn't lift it. I then tried to eat it with a fork and knife but the knife kept cutting through the paper liner which attached itself to the pizza. Aside from the difficulty of eating the pizza, the taste of it was really good. I enjoyed putting all my favorite toppings on it. I like this place! The service is on point, and it's quick, but at the same time they take the time to ask you what you want, EXACTLY how you want it. I've never had to wait in a huge line for my pizza. I like how the crust has a slight raise around it because I really dislike thin crust pizza and this gives it a little "oomph" :) Toppings are great, and they don't skimp! They don't get mad if you ask them for extras either! Basically, you're free to make it however you want it. A whole, half, 1/4th, whatever it is, they will do it! Wow, what fantastic pizza. The fact that they use shaved Parmesan mixed in with their mozzarella, as well as adding Gorgonzola cheese on request, makes the flavor of a Blaze pizza amazing. Once you add in the really fresh toppings like fresh spinach, sautéed onions, fresh cherry tomatoes, and Italian meatballs, I think they make the best pizza I've ever had. After a long day at Lego Land, I devoured my pizza and half of my daughter's. Delicious. While the blood orange lemonade is excellent, it was too strong and sweet for me. Yet another product of the current build-your-own pizza fad, does Blaze stand out? Not really. Short story shorter, it's not nearly as good as Pieology and maybe roughly on the same level as Project Pie. I ordered mine with ALL THE MEATS! Due to the thin crust, the result was pretty limp. One might blame the greasiness on the meat, but I can just as easily point a figure at the cheese, which was obviously not of the best quality. Ostensibly, given the price, neither were the meats themselves, none of which really stood out flavor-wise. The unique spicy sauce option came off as perhaps the only saving grace of the pizza by packing a surprising amount of kick. Stopped by Blaze for the first time today. It is conveniently located inside the Carlsbad Premium Outlet Center. I love the concept, you can choose a pizza from their signature pizzas or you can create your own and add as many toppings as you like without paying extra. I ordered their BBQ chicken pizza and added some pineapple to it. They add a generous amount of toppings and ask if you'd like to customize anything. The are not kidding when they advertise fast fire'd, the pizza was ready extremely fast which is great when you are in a rush. There are shakers with crushed red pepper, Parmesan and dried oregano available. They also have Tabasco sauce if you like it even spicier. I was very happy with my pizza, the crust was thin, just as I like it, and the crust had just the right texture. My only complaint is the flimsy plastic silverware, those plastic knives did not cut anything and we're pretty much worthless. I'd love to see some real silver ware, works better and is much better for the environment. Reusable glassware / cups would also be better for dining in customers. Other than that I have no complaints. Service was efficient and the employees were upbeat and friendly. I'll definitely be back. read more
