I had very low expectations for Blaze given the prices, and I'm so glad I did. I was expecting a product comparable to other fast pizza chains (Dominos, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns), but it's easily better than all of them. It's essentially the Chipotle of fast pizza, and I love how many toppings options they have. If you somehow don't find your pizza tasty, my dude that's on you for not selecting the right combo. For $11~, the flavor and quantity makes Blaze very worth. The wait time is also minimal, mainly because the crust is extremely thin. Faster than other pizza chains, and similar to regular fast food. Eh. I've been wanting to try this place for a while, especially because they offer a keto based dough. We got one regular pizza for the kids which they liked. Not the best, nothing special but they enjoyed it. The cheesy bread was alright but it was cold when it got to us. I ordered a make my own. I got the keto dough with white cream sauce, mozzarella cheese, olives, mushrooms, bacon, green peppers and onions. It was burnt to a crisp and had barely any sauce or cheese on it so the whole thing was just extremely dry and like cardboard in my mouth. No taste all. They charge $4 extra for the keto crust and it was TINY. I've had the keto crust elsewhere and it's been delicious. Very disappointed with this one. Not sure if I'll give them a second chance honestly. Maybe if they put more sauce and cheese it would be better. But honestly I'd put this place on the same level as Dominoes. read more

Great experience: I went to blaze pizza for the first time and experienced a nice atmosphere. There is a line as soon as you walk in. When it was my turn she asked for a name and if I've ever been there before. I said no, and she began to explain how the ordering process worked. She explained everything so well. In theory, this really should be good pizza. But, if you're a New Yorker, this may not be the one for you. It's not as cardboard-like or dreadful as the likes of Domino's or one of those. But, it's formulaic pizza, aimed at fast in and out at a cheap price. What makes Blaze work (and admittedly, I've ordered from here for delivery a bunch of times lately) are four things: 1) it's very affordable to get on a daily basis at the office. 2) the 11-inch ones are perfect for someone ordering for one (or even two depending on how hungry). 3) it's rather simple to order online because it's formulaic, and 4) it's incredibly light (probably because it's so cheap), which makes it a little less of a nightmare for those of us who want to eat pizza a few times a week without adding on the pounds. That said, today I decided to skip Blaze and order from a higher-end gourmet Italian restaurant near by and it made me realize that sometimes saving a few bucks isn't worth the great taste of pizza that Blaze doesn't deliver on. Bottom line: It is what it is. There's a reason you can get a small pizza for $10.99, with as many cheese, vegetable and meat toppings as you want. But, keep in mind, ordering for items, doesn't mean it's really going to come loaded or even cheesy. They skimp on a lot. So really, it's just high-end cardboard with some nifty stuff (sparse at that) on top. read more

I ended in this place by accident. This is as lively as a corner gets in Fresh Meadows. The atmosphere is alluring, with lots of very young people having fun. There is a cool fire oven, and the staff is really nice. Pizzas are ok. Not bad, but neither great. The flavors stay in a bit of a well known mild part of the spectrum; and the dough, marinara, mozzarella are ok, but not really great. You won't find here natural leaven, and therefor pizzas do not have the toasted bubbles that make Naples pizza so amazing. We had to go back and let them know, they were kind and made a new one for us once we showed them the black crust. Make your own: ham and pineapple: this was pretty good! The pineapples are from a can obviously but the ham was really good. I like that you can choose your crust from regular which is think, to the thicker crust within FYI is double the calories and keto (for the trendy peeps) lol. The lemonades are very very sweet, I would say bring a water bottle to water them down. I felt the sugar rush after the first sip, no me gusta! Conclusion: I will be back, I feel like they will handle the burnt crust situation eventually, I think when they are super busy it's hard to track each pie which is why this happens. This place has a Subways style of choosing toppings for the build-ur-own. I loved the thin and personal pies that u can build and it's def so different from a traditional pizzeria. So don't worry about not being able to finish a pie with original crust since it is a thin and light crust. They also provide boxes for you to take to go if you're feeling too full. I definitely recommend trying pesto sauce for the pizza or you can ask for it to just be on the crust and the classic red sauce for the center. The ovalini mozzarella (fresh ball of mozz that they'll pull into pieces on the spot) was also pretty good tho not as stretchy as I would've liked. Just my preference but I skipped the meat since I feel like it adds weight to ur pizza and got mushroom, basil, spinach, oregano, and a pesto drizzle to finish it off. Also I tried my friend's plain cheese pizza and would not recommend - it kinda reminds me of Chuck e Cheese's pizza The customer service was really helpful. They waited for me while I was deciding what to put on and even told me what they recommended, what ovalini mozz was, and drizzling only a couple of slices of pesto when I asked. I was pleasantly surprised that Blaze's pizza is pretty decent. My expectations were low, I'll have to admit, but after a bite, I was sold. There's no shortage of pizza joints in Queens, but Blaze fits a need for fast thin crust. And it is FAST! When you enter, you go immediately on line and figure out what you want. Do I want one of the pre-formulated pizzas or build-your-own? The difference is only a dollar and for$9.95, you can pile on the toppings however you want! Kinda like Five Guys meets Papa John's with Chipotle mixed in. The staff of about 15 people are all running around doing this or that to make as many pizzas as fast as possible. First off, you choose your crust, regular, keto or cauliflower. Whichever one you choose, it goes under the motorized press and flattened paper thin. Then you choose your sauce, red, spicy red or white and then cheese, mozzarella, ricotta, gorgonzola, parmesan. Then comes the hard part, listing all the toppings. All the standards you know are available in unlimited quantities and FRESH because nothing stays for long with the amount of pizzas they make. The limit is really the 12" diameter (113 sq inches) of crust. Then it goes into the super hot oven for about 2 minutes and out comes your delicious pie! Unlimited topping pizza! Blazing into the neighborhood is Blaze Fast-Fired Pizza. This place is backed by NBA LeBron James and took the top honors for America's best fast food pizza. After doing a bit of shopping at the strip mall on Horace Harding, walked over to this new pizza joint in the same area. The line to order was out the door, and moved slowly. For $10, I opted for the unlimited topping pizza. There was an assembly line of workers. One for the dough, sauce, meat, veggie, etc. First chose your dough: original (regular), high rise, cauliflower (GF) and keto (GF). The keto is very popular so supply is limited. The crusts are super thin. Then choose from any to all toppings: 4 different sauces 8 cheeses 8 meats 16 veggie toppings At first I chose the garlic pesto sauce. But after she put on, it looked like there was nothing on there. It looked like a clear oil. So I asked her to top it with classic red sauce. (She actually put on spicy red sauce which I didn't find out until later. Bleh.) For meat, I chose applewood bacon, pepperoni, grilled chicken and smoked ham. And added on many different veggies and some mozzarella. Piled up high with all my chosen toppings, the pizza was fired up in 180 seconds. It tasted ok, but needed more cheese. They only sprinkle a little bit on. Make sure to ask for extra cheese. Also more oregano for flavor. The servers throw everything on quickly so some toppings in the trays will get mixed up with other ingredients. Don't come here if you have allergies to any of the toppings. Was thinking about ordering dough knots but glad I didn't after seeing them come out of the oven. They were seriously totally scorched black on the bottoms. Most traditional pizza restaurants use lower-temperature ovens that take at 10 minutes to cook a pizza. Blaze uses open-hearth ovens that reach extreme temperatures of 700-800 degrees which cooks them in 60 to 90 seconds. So the pizzas are ready pretty quickly. (And can easily burn). Final note: It was kinda cool to order anything and everything I wanted on the pizza. Needs more cheese and oregano for flavor. I didn't like that the pizza crust was very scorched black on the bottom. But if you are into that, then you will love this place. read more

Okay so this review is biased. I found Blaze a few weeks after they opened on 188th Street in Fresh Meadows and that was my first time trying it. Almost everyone knows I fell head over heels for this place. I love the option to be completely simple with a simple pie or go crazy with making my own. I've been here upwards of 20/30 times and I've only been disappointed once. The disappointment was due to how busy they were and not due to the food so I won't take any points of for that. The service is here is always friendly and the atmosphere is extremely nice. The store is always clean and the food is always fresh. I love using their rewards system, it's super easy to add points and redeem rewards. The one issue I have with Blaze as a company is their struggle with gift cards; I had loaded gift cards on the app but for some reason using them is such a struggle that I've all but given up. I've always enjoyed my pizza and while I do see some reviewers aren't happy with their consistency, I haven't run into that issue yet. I always enjoy how my pizza comes out and definitely will keep coming here. Prices are solid and the app always has decent deals. Parking is free in the back :) read more

Pleasantly surprised. I found the dough and sauce to be good especially for a quick service chain. My favorite part was being able to mix and match without breaking the bank. Adding toppings to pizza adds up quickly at other places. Cheese doesn't always mix well with me and when I first heard about blaze I wondered if I could do a cheese less pizza. One of my favorite things about Blaze is that they give you an unlimited number of toppings on their pizzas. I fill mine up with a bunch of different meats including pepperoni, sausage, meatball, ham and chicken. They heat it in the oven right after you build your own pizza for $9.95. You can also get the signature pizzas if you don't want to customize it, and it's $1 cheaper. The ingredients are pretty fresh and the pizzas taste great! The service here is also great. Everything is new and clean. We came here on the second day they were open for the free pizza offer, waited in line for about an hour around noon time. Blaze just recently opened in this area and there's certainly a hype around it. It has a good amount of seats inside, options for outdoor seating, and also a parking lot so it's convenient to stop by. The line goes pretty fast as well so make sure to know what you want. I customized my own pizza and found it was cool to be able to choose between different sauces and ingredients (which you can choose as much as you want). There's also set pizzas already in place if you prefer not to make your own. The pizzas are a good personal size and definitely filling. I picked the meat eater personal pie ($11+) off their featured menu, it had just enough pepperoni, & meatballs to satisfy. I would recommend checking their menu online before heading over, as there are some specials that aren't posted (anywhere). Dining area is spacious, & relaxing. The oven gives off a cool look with the flames on the sides, but it is likely a gas oven. Overall cute concept. They also have a spacious outdoor dining area. Make your own pizza is the way to go here! You get to customize it the way you want it from a subway-assembly line concept. It has a lot of options based on your perference whether it's keto, all veggie, glutton-free, and meat lover heaven. They cook the pizza in a brick oven for about a minute or two. My favorite is when they throw on a hand full of arugula at the end! Given covid, they allowed everyone to redeem their pi deal ($3.14/pie) for the entire year to avoid crowds from forming, which is so nice of them.
