For those in the know regarding classic 70s/80s/90s "NY style" (gas oven) pizzerias, this is the quintessential corner slice shop we grew up with. And for those who grew up in the Forest Hills area, this is JOE'S PIZZA on 108 St. It's run by Joe's son, Tony, and Joe himself has a hand in this place. Crust- perfectly well done. That brown crisp on the bottom, yet foldable and not too thick. Tasty and not bland. Sauce- the secret is really in the sauce. Just the right amount and not at all a dry slice. Tasty, not too sweet like some places. Cheese- high quality, and not the cheap stuff. Melds just right with the sauce to create that nice orange hue I always look for in a good slice...just how I remember it from childhood. Great staff. And Tony who I got to meet is the kindest, has a strong sense of family and history, and is totally dedicated to providing his customers the best pizza. He's super knowledgeable about the art of pizza making! This has that classic dripping-off-the-slice deep orange-tinged oil that I remember from the old days, which is full of flavor. And this is essentially olive oil they use in their pizza. Bottom line- best regular slice in the city, not just Queens. The only thing missing, at least for nostalgia sake, is the old school orange bench seats and those fruit punch tanks that the old Joe's used to have, but I guess no one really keeps those these days.

As I walked into this establishment I was greeted with the bright lights throughout. It made me feel like I was walking into an operating room. I was first put off by them but I am thankful for the lights as it illuminated the dirt and grime on the shakers. See photo. I walked to the counter and was greeted by a grunt and sour puss. Not a very pleasant greeting and no personality throughout. I needed to wonder no more to the lack of passion. As I waited for my order I stared at the Gatorade bottles filled with fixin's. I pondered who had consumed these thirst quenching beverages to be filled with hot seeds, what color Gatorade did it start out as to be filled with salt that was nearly impossible to shake out. I noticed a buxom gentlemen attempting to open the top of a Gatorade bottle filled with garlic to pour onto his food and as he removed his hand from the cap, the filth came with it and left the remnants of every customer before him hand grease all over on his finger tips. The questions are endless perhaps I can question them longer as I sit on the toilet bowl with my stomach howling. The gushing oil on the pizza needed stacks of napkins to combat it. Big parking lot was a plus.

All I wanted was a solid slice of pizza but in stead I got horrible pizza and experienced the rudest workers. The workers behind the counter are absolutely rude and nasty. The man doing our pizza was extremely snappy at me after I tried adding to my order and he was completely ignoring me and not making eye contact with me. I ordered a pepperoni slice and it was a pool of oil, absolutely gross. Within an hour I felt so sick, it's very clear they use cheap products to make their pizza. The pizza toppings were in GATORADE BOTTLES. I was so in shocked that I forgot to take a photos It's disappointing because I am always in the neighborhood but hands the worst pizza and the rudest staff i have everrrrr experienced in a neighborhood pizzeria.

You heard of short girl problems ? How about eggplant Parmesan girl problems ?? This short girl eggplant Parmesan problems have been finally solved ... thanks to Whitepoint Pizzeria. I ordered a nice inexpensive meal that would feed two honestly. The eggplant was sliced thin , prepared with bread crumbs and not greasy at all . The cheese was baked nicely and to the perfect melting. The ziti was al dense with a nice sauce that had some pep to it The Grandma slices were also very fulfilling. The fresh mozzarella slices combined with nice fresh spices made for a good Grandma slice . Safe to say I will be ordering again. The delivery was way too !!

Came here Saturday to try out a new place. Wow. These people are rude I was left beside myself. I attempted to use the free two liter soda coupon and the guys behind the counter argued with me and said it wasn't for here. It was for here this isn't my first rodeo. Then backtracked and said he's not going to argue with me over two dollars. I said "you already did and believe me this isn't going to be good for your customer reviews" the pizza was tasty but TERRIBLE service. I will never be back.

Pepperoni roll, Buffalo chicken slice, and White slice.
    Rossana A.

Ordered 1 Buffalo chicken slice, 1 white slice, and a pepperoni roll through Grubhub. Everything was warm and arrived before expected. The Buffalo chicken slice was very salty and a bit greasy. My favorite was the pepperoni roll which was fresh and tasty. I gave the white slice to my dad (who hates pizza but loves ricotta) and he said he enjoyed it.

$5.00 bite side rice ball beside a slice of cucumber from my salad. What a joke.

Pretty sure we just ordered from Whitepoint Pizzeria for the last time. We ordered a few salads, a personal pizza and a rice ball. We were charged close to $5.00 for a bite size rice ball. Photo shows rice ball beside a slice of cucumber from my salad. Whitepoint should be ashamed of themselves. I have never seen a rice ball this small. When you call them to inform them that this rice ball is ridiculous your told that this is the fifth complaint, they only work there, they are not the owner. Well hello so called owner of Whitepoint Pizzeria ... you are ripping people off with your bite sized rice balls and you have permanently lost some customers. Not that you care. From the reviews I've read your business sucks. Good riddens.

Cheese pizza with olives for my son's 2nd birthday party
    Hana K.

I can't be any happier with this place! I requested a cheese pizza w #2 written with olives for my son's birthday (because that's his favorite topping) and the guys did an exceptional job on the aesthetic aspect as well as the taste! We ordered this along w a Sicilian pie, baked ziti, and chicken parmigiana and everything was super delicious!! I just really want to express my gratitude to everyone at the shop for exceeding my expectations and making my son so so happy on his 2nd birthday! He was picking out the olives endlessly!!

Absolutely the worst pizza I have ever eaten. The cheese was spongy, dough was soggy, barely any crust and greasy. Overall just the worst pizza I've ever eaten. Would have been happier if I went to domino's pizza.

After you get situated with finding parking, better yet, take mass transit if you can, you'll find a non descript pizzeria. It's CASH ONLY ** they have ATM's inside for your convenience, which I had to use and I think the fee was 2.50$ but I'm not sure. The pizzeria slices are HUGE.-ginormous- colossal!! I thought it was going to be superficially large pizza with a horrible taste. ON THE CONTRARY - NO! The pizza was delicious and I found the salt content to be reasonable, perfectly salted. I paid 38$ for the super sized pizza. My kids devoured it, while my wife took pictures of of the kids eating their kite sized pizza slices. I highly recommend this "Bronx Style" pizzeria. The pizza is well cooked, medium to thin sized pizza and the ratio of cheese to tomato sauce is distributed evenly with a slightly cheesier taste than tomato.

But the fact of the matter is the quality of the cheese and dough is not up to par. The pizza resonates of low quality mozzarella cheese and poor quality bread. I've been eating here on and off for many years and the quality of the product has deteriorated. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they wanted to "try that place that they heard of on social media or from a friend who ate here 20 years ago. it's just not worth it. They are better pizza places in the Bronx (Circle, Yankee Pizza, Ernie's, Tony's on Throggs Neck, Pugsley Pizza)z If the owner were able to improve on the pizza by incorporating better quality ingredients, I would definitely give it a shot again. I wouldn't even mind if they charged seven dollars a slice for that mammoth slice because it is very very big. But in its current incarnation, I would have to pass on a second round. It's just not worth the money because the taste and quality of the slice is so poor. What happened?!??

The store may be very small, but it is cool to see them make pizzas in front of you. It's also nice to see what kind of other things they have in person that I've never tried before.
