    Make Your Own Margarita Pizza
    Charissa H.

Pizza is decent. My only complaint is the cheese. It had a weird texture, almost like it didn't melt. But it did melt? I don't know, but I'm knocking off a star. The rest of the ingredients seemed good, and they didn't skimp on the toppings. Crust is good too, not the best, but decent. The boyfriend made a margarita pizza. Again, the cheese was weird, and I struggled to finish one piece. He managed to finish it all, but even he said the cheese was weird. I made a chicken and chorizo white sauce pizza with broccoli, roasted garlic, and mushrooms. I got a drizzle of pesto sauce on top once the pizza was done cooking. I couldn't taste the chorizo, but the rest of the food was good. Again, my only issue was the weird cheese texture. You should get a drink. They have a blood orange lemonade that was so nice and necessary to swallow the weird cheese on the pizza. Workers were nice. The view is fun to watch the cars go by. If you get a coupon in the mail, it's worth it to go.

    Pizza and garlic bread. Yum!

I love how I can choose all my toppings for the same price. The pizza and garlic bread was wonderful.

It's been a while since I've been back to Blaze. This place was very busy on a Friday evening at prime time. The line was a bit long, the wait for the food followed suit and the waiting area got crowded. The area was clean despite the busyness. The team hustled and were friendly and professional. The pesto cheesy bread was okay. The crust was nice and crispy but soft. The bread had a slight garlic appeal and was piled high with fresh mozzarella cheese. The pesto sauce was just kind of there. It was drizzled across the melted cheese. It had a nice taste but not outstanding. The meat eater pizza had a nice soft thin crust with a slight crunch. The meat was plentiful. The toppings tasted fresh but not much spice. The sauce was thin and didn't add much seasoning to the taste. Overall the pizza was very tasty! Especially if you like thin crust pizza! Over

Ordered a pizza for delivery and it arrived like this. We have ordered from them multiple times for delivery and have never had an issue. We were unable to get a refund on our meal through Uber Eats because they said the store refused to acknowledge the quality issues. Blasé should be ashamed having sent food out this disgusting. Sitting in a pool of a watery substance , not even grease, and it was raw all the way through and we even ordered it EXTRA DONE (We have ordered this exact pizza before and it wasn't this way). Needless to say, I will not be returning and I will share my experience with others. The cost of living these days and the price of convenience makes this far too expensive to be a waste.

I ordered online from Blaze Pizza my usual order (same thing I have gotten for years). Upon arrival, I noted the 11inch pizza had the amount of toppings equivelant to how much one slice usually has. I asked the worker about it, and this is what Cam the manager told me: "If you were here to tell us how much you wanted, we would give you more, but that is not how online orders work. We have a new owner, and he is really strict about portions, and you were not here to tell us. That is how it works." I called him out on lying to me because the last time I ordered, it was online, and I got the normal amount- a lot more. It was just a few weeks ago. I asked him if he was going to fix it. He said, "I'm not allowed to fix or remake orders anymore. We have a new owner, and that is the way he is." This is clear and admitted theft.

Lunch for a friends bday. Sat on patio, it was a nice day out. Ordered online. Came out just as ordered and on time. Nice and hot. Crust done perfectly. The middle isn't soggy and the crust is the perfect thinness. I come here about once a month and my pizzas are always different. In my opinion they're the best pizza Around and the only kind I eat. I don't like pizza but love theirs. The prep counter is always a mess but the ingredients are fresh and they are always so busy that I imagine finding time to clean up all the time is tough. They never stop making pizzas. And the online orders just keep printing out. I've gone before and there are 10-15 pre orders on the counter. They have a system and it's flawless how they work. Many different crust options, sauce option and toppings galore. They even offer toppings that go on your pizza after it's been baked and I recommend doing one or two Highly recommend. A must try.

Food is amazing. Fast service !! I've never had a bad pizza at Blaze . Also their pesto cheese sticks are a hit!

Pizza drowned in pesto sauce that was listed as a drizzle!

Worse pizza I have had in a longtime! Have people lost their taste buds this place is cardboard with toppings! If it wasn't bad enough that their sauce was basically tomato paste with zero effort in making it flavorful, I asked for the pesto drizzle! The key word here is drizzle! Look at my pizza and bread sticks! Does that look like a drizzle? There was more pesto than pizza sauce! Absolutely disgusting. Huge waste of money threw it away. I decided to eat an apple instead and it was better than the pizza. Don't waste your money on cardboard gas station quality pizza! Actually gas stations have better pizza.

Garlic Cheese bread and cold marinara.

My rating is probably more like a 3.5 teetering on a 4. My son and I stopped by Blaze Pizza yesterday for lunch. It was right around 12 and it wasn't too busy yet. He wanted garlic cheese bread so we got that as well as 2 pizzas. He went with a safe sausage pizza and enjoyed it, but wasn't overwhelmed. I had the bbq pizza and I thought it was great! Love the fire baked pizza! The service ordering and getting the pizza was really good but their ordering process seems awkward. I had only been there one other time and I just wasn't sure what I needed to do next and no one explained where to go or what to do. Now why the 3.5 stars? The garlic cheese bread was horrible and tasteless. Has the owners tried it lately? And when they try it, is their marinara ice cold? I have never had cold marinara for my garlic bread and I almost gagged when I tried my first bite! I tried another slice but we both decided it just wasn't worth the calories. This guy never turns down garlic cheese bread, but today was a first. The restaurant itself was pretty clean and had a nice vibe to it but it really was just like any other fast food place. This was a decent pizza but I will definitely not try the bread ever again!

A joke. Almost no crust to speak of, and burnt on the bottom 99.9% of the time. A waste of money and calories. You're better off with a frozen pizza. We try this every now and then when we want a late night meal and it's always a mistake. Wish more decent things were open later.

    Rotten lettuce from our salad
    Chris T.

If the English dictionary definition of the word blaze is "to go fast", this ain't the place. Extremely slow service. Lackluster employees. And a salad that had more wilted lettuce than the salad itself. It's national pepperoni pizza day as I write this and I feel like I've been let down.

I've been to 10 different Blaze locations in 5 states. This is hands-down the worst location. The others are all great -- I don't know what happened to this one. Too many things to list. Dirty, rude, unprofessional, you name it. Feels more like I'm at a funeral home. Tried a couple of times but it's the same no matter the day. This entire staff needs to go get training from one of the other locations.

She made great recommendations and helped us decide based on our time constraints. She was attentive and gave us a lot of information about the food, live music, DJ and art for sale on all the walls. We weren't super hungry, so we tried the flatbread - sooo good. I will be back because the whole menu, including the drinks, sound wonderful. They offered zero spirit, GL and other substitutions if needed which is nice. The atmosphere has a moody, darker hang out vibe to it. I loved it and can't wait to bring some friends and family back! She recommended reservations on the weekends, especially on "First Fridays" as that's when they do events and an art crawl on Broadway when the weather is nice. We parked on the street in front of the building so I'm not sure if there is a parking lot. They do have outdoor seating as well in the front of the building. But then you're presented with this shiny chandelier, illuminating this wide chamber, and hovering over a smooth, curved bar. The sides of this huge dining space are lined with dining tables, and walls lined with artwork, making the name quite appropriate. Subtle haloes of light dot the ceiling, and the color palette of the place (besides that big ol' chandelier) is dark, cool, and easy on the eyes. I took a seat at the main bar and was served within minutes. I enjoyed some light pop, rap, and classic rock tunes bumping in the background while I sipped on a delightful Smoked Apple Reserve. Every sip was a punch of sweetness, followed by an air of smokiness, and just a splash of herby aftertaste. It was however, not the kind of drink you could chug, so I sipped slowly throughout my meal. I'll have to come back for the appetizers, as I hear they're the star of the show, but neither the flatbreads nor the traditional bar-fare excited me. Thanks to Yelp though, I learned of the Blueberry and Brie Grilled Cheese, which I'd initially dismissed due to my dislike of Brie - the cheese and her portrayal of Captain Marvel, let's be honest. But I gave it a chance and ~woah~ it was something else. First of all, it's a perfectly cooked grilled cheese, with a flaky, crunchy exterior and addictingly cheesy inside, however I was ~taken aback~ by the flavor. I think I honestly had a Ratatouille moment, where that flavor of berry compote transported me to my childhood, chowing down on blueberry pancakes on Friday morning before school. At the same time, it doesn't dominate the flavor profile - it adds a subtle and satisfying sweetness to the creamy richness of the melted Brie, and it does it oh so well. The plentiful pieces of proscuitto provided some palatable protein, while also being a contrast in flavor and feel to the Berry and Brie. The fries were a little heavy on the straight potato flavor and not so much on seasoning and salt, but some garlic aioli did the trick there. The service was superb and the atmosphere was nothing like I've experienced in this city. I didn't expect to love this place as much as I did, but I can't wait to come back to try more apps, drinks, and return to that beautiful blueberry and brie...

I have come to appreciate the freshness of their sandwiches lately. My wife had the chicken Caesar wrap. She liked the moist chicken, light tasting dressing and soft wrap. The potato salad was fairly standard with most. It had a nice mustard-mayo taste and consistency. It might have been a little heavy on the mayo. The egg and celery were good touches. Very smooth! The McAlister Club sandwich was filed high with delicious turkey and ham. The Swiss and cheddar cheese...plus toppings made a nice sandwich. The white bread was nicely toasted without being overly crispy. Just enough mayo to blend the tastes. The 1/2 salad, on the 2 choice deal, is enough for a whole meal. It's a real club salad. All the fresh meats, cheeses and toppings. Lots of croutons. The honey mustard dressing is thick and spicy. All blended to an enjoyable taste. The Mac & cheese side was rather small. The noodles were a bit mushy and over cooked. The cheese sauce comes off a bit "institutional". Perhaps a flavor that you would find at school or a place who isn't focused on a designer Mac & cheese. It was very creamy and had a mild cheese flavor. I liked the tee shirts the staff was wearing to promote their tea. McAlister's special tea is like drinking a hug - per the shirt. The tea has a nice smooth/warm/soothing taste. It kind of reminds you of a southern style tea. However, it isn't over the top sugary. It also doesn't have a bold strong tea taste. It's good...and I almost felt the hug lol.

Sunday around noon o'clock and it was pretty a pretty busy place. We reached the corner to place our order after a short wait and the gentleman behind the corner took our order. He spoke very quietly and I felt bad having to ask him to repeat nearly everything. After we gave him our order and he repeated it I questioned it if it was right. At the point another employee came back and asked us what it was. It turns out he was a new employee and still finding his way. No problem. No one starts out an expert at anything. The nice lady got it straightened out and we sat down to wait. A few minute later a manager came by and apologized and said he thought our order wasn't entered correctly. We told him that was the case originally, but it was corrected by another employee and it was good now. The food took about ten minutes and wasn't presented as the prettiest meal I've ever eaten. Both lids on my Jalapeño Turkey Crunch appeared to be sliding off the side and the pickled looked like it had been mushed in the hands of a toddle, barely resembling a pickle. It made it a VERY messy, high-napkin-utilization meal. While the tables were addressed quickly after diners leaving, the floors were another story. Yes, it was lunch rush, but at the same time it takes a micro-second to pick up an errant straw wrapper or napkin. This location has a nice outside seating area with several table and umbrellas. It was a bit too hot/humid for us to eat outside, but in better weather we'd have absolutely eaten outside.

I loved the Cuban flavors, unique food items and the variety of tacos. Everyone loves tacos and The Hoppy Gnome did (still does, only 4 versions now) them well. However...after about a half dozen visits...I got bored with the same offerings. On line posters and most frequent customers (according to the manager) tend to favor the old menu. I, personally, found the change very refreshing and delicious! I will be back as there are lots of new things to try! The Hoppy Gnome is located downtown on the southeast side of the court house. You can park in the Citizens Center parking lot for free after 5pm. It is safe and right across the street from The Gnome. Making a reservation is easy on Open Table. I would suggest you do that versus walking in. The inside is still appealing with the bright and colorful industrial decor. They have a large private seating area for parties. They also have a street side outdoor patio. We sat outside on this summer evening. The area is spacious with solid high table furniture. People watching is fun but the traffic can be really loud at times. The new menu has a much broader appeal and less emphasis on Cuban only items. You will find lots of appetizer choices. Salads, burgers, flatbreads, pasta, seafood and chicken dishes are available. There are a decent number of specialty entrees and four varieties of tacos. All items pretty reasonably priced. Here is a run down on the food we ordered: -Chicken Flatbread: the crust was a little thicker than a normal thin crust and very soft; the manager said they really researched out this crust to fit their style; lots of delicious grilled chicken and toppings; very tasty! -Miso Honey Wings: 8 medium sized wings that are grilled and dipped; slightly crunchy skins; all white color on the inside but perhaps a little over cooked as the wing meat was tough and a bit dry; very unique sauce - very thick, sticky and rich in consistency; mild amount of sweetness and teriyaki flavors. The manager says about 70% of the people that order wings get the Miso Honey sauce. This dish was very good also! -Side salad: nice sized side salad; very fresh and attractive; no iceberg lettuce here - real greens; nice garnishment of carrots, cucumbers and roasted red peppers The team here was very friendly and professional - per normal. They hustled to serve. We particularly enjoyed sharing our experience with the manager and getting insight on the changes. Give the new menu a try for yourself!!

The team here is always friendly and hustled to serve you. The free warm/soft chocolate chip cookies found at the bar are a nice parting gift. In this occasion we ordered a 12 inch Supremo pizza for $17.85. The flour tasting crust is soft on the inside with crispy wood fired texture on the edges. The bottom is firmer without being crunchy. The toppings are fresh. The mushrooms, green peppers and onions have a slight crunch. The pepperoni and sausage have nice meat flavors and a hit of spiciness. Not much cheese. The tomato sauce definitely has a bolder tomato taste. Though the sauce is not applied very thick or plentiful. Cold Pizza Test - the crust got a little more firm and chewy, but not overbearingly. From bad customer treatment to getting bent by over like a cheap Vegas hooker via price gouging, 800 Degrees and its pompous owner can get bent. This is such a travesty because 800 Degrees is an outstanding pizzeria, but there are other solid pizzerias in Fort Wayne that deserve our business because they don't do either of the above. Good riddance.
