I typically always get extra cheese in my pizza. Well, that didn't happen here. My first pizza got messed up in the oven so I had to wait 12 minutes for them to make a new one. Owner didn't apologize for any issues or me having to wait to eat while my enter party of 6 was done eating by the time my food was ready. Owner also refused to put extra cheese in my pizza. Staff/employees were fantastic and apologized numerous times. The owner didn't apologize not once nor offered any refund for me having to wait on another pizza to bake. I ordered 3 build your own pizzas for which three different workers walked me down the line to build each. The issue was while I was trying to choose toppings for my first, the next worker was rushing me to choose sauces for the next pizza. There was nobody behind me in line. I ended up being unsatisfied with each pizza and frustrated that I was rushed. Other fast casual places would have you build all three together and move through each station (sauce, cheese, toppings, etc) With 3 different workers building each pizza, the distribution/amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings for each were considerably different. It was hard to ask for adjustment to my liking with each worker pulling me for the other pizza, leaving me overall frazzled and unsatisfied. Finally, after my pizzas were complete, the worker at the end swapped my label with a different persons pizza box before applying the final drizzles, and had I not noticed, I would have been handed the wrong pizza. Enjoyed an awesome lunch here last weekend. I love their build your own pizza, for one price you can put as many or as few toppings as you want on it. They've got an amazing selection of toppings, meats, veggies, varieties of cheeses. The dough is always fresh, and they flash cook your creation on the spot in a matter of minutes! Ok so let me start by saying usually I love this place. I typically don't have bad experiences but this past week was bad. I placed my order online it was ready by my selected time which was great. The pizza was ordered well done because it does sometimes get soggy with the amount of toppings you're allowed to get. Another plus you get all the toppings you want for one price. But back to the ordering of it well done. This is made in a fire burning oven so sometimes it does get a little "burnt " looking however mine was COMPLETELY burnt on the bottom. We haven't been here in awhile and thought it'd be a good stop before the holiday food rush. I ordered a half cheese, half pepperoni with extra pepperoni. And you can see in the picture. The definition of extra pepperoni. My husband ordered a meat eater with extra pepperoni. Again you can see from the picture what extra pepperoni means. The atmosphere was extremely quiet. The workers weren't even conversing with each other. As I went to get my S'mores warmed up, I noticed something crawling in the dessert basket....gnats. Definitely NOT a good look. Ordered carry out for lunch today... The only gripe I have is that there are so many toppings to choose from that I just went overboard, as I'm indecisive. Seriously, the most delicious bite of garlic bread I've ever had, and I'm not being loosey-goosey with my garlic bread recommendation. You pick your size (11 inch or 14 inch) and then customize the dough, sauce, cheese, meats, and vegetables or choose from eight or so favorites. Everything gets thrown into an uber-hot ("fast fire'd") oven and comes out in under five minutes. In theory, this would make for an efficient way to quickly churn out crowd-pleasing food. In practice, however, it is chaos incarnate. My wife and I ordered online for in-store pick-up and arrived to find a line of others who had done the same. Most got their pizzas quickly, but one customer had been waiting for a half hour. Our delay wasn't nearly that long, thankfully, but there was a noticeable gap between the receipt of our first pizza and the receipt of our second. A roving manager expressed concern and made a good-faith effort to make sure everyone left happy, but his was not an easy task. In fact, the same could be said of the entire crew. Everyone we observed seemed to be working hard pounding out dough knots, lifting pizzas in and out of ovens, calling out orders, etc. And despite all this hustle and bustle, Blaze still struggled to keep pace with demand. That bit of calamity aside, however, the food was better than expected. We went with 11-inch meat lovers and hot links pies as well as a two-pack of dough knots. The knots were legitimately some of the best I've ever had: just the right proportion of chewy and crunchy with plenty of flavor. The pizza wasn't world-beating, but it was satisfying. The ingredients were tasty, and while the crust was nothing special, it was at least evenly cooked. For those seeking hot, fresh pizza in a hurry, Blaze could be the answer if you catch them during a slower time. But if you're in for a wait regardless, go a few miles down Wendover and try Uncle Maddios. read more

I work about a mile from Blaze, so it was nice to see the addition of another (different) lunch option in the area. The line was backed up when we walked in, but fortunately moves quickly. We ordered a three topping pizza to share with applewood bacon, pineapple, and jalapeños. The cool thing is that all the toppings are the same price and not broken into standard/premium price tiers like a lot of pizza places these days. The ingredients behind the bar all seemed very fresh and the staff, though busy, were friendly and accommodating as they built our creation. We just went with the pizza, though you can do a salad or dough-knots for a side. The dough-knots did look tasty, and I put them on the mental list to try at some point in the near future. The pizza was ready in 5-6 minutes and included a variety of finishing options at the counter once they call your name for pickup (we went with a dusting of oregano). I thought the pizza was very good, especially for a fast casual-style assembly line, and as one other reviewer stated: the first slice when it's piping hot is definitely the highlight. The menu is very simple, which is a plus. Unfortunately, it stated they have beer when they don't actually sell beer at this location (maybe they will in the future). In addition to the usual fountain selections, they have some of their own Panera-style beverage creations, and I was happy to see a selection of energy drinks as well (helpful for avoiding the 2pm nap wall at the office)! This is a great chain with bad execution at this spot. I've eaten at other Blaze Pizza locations and universally had a good experience. I've eaten at this one once and showed up when they were closed during their posted hours a couple of times (and obviously not eaten then). My recommendation is to skip this place as their ability to open or close seems random. They also don't seem to have any pandemic protocols in place (even employees preparing food don't wear masks or gloves reliably which is more of a sanitary issue). The one time I did catch them open both tables seated next to me were given incorrect orders and I saw them take a pizza back from one customer and give it to another... also a sanitary issue. If this review is 12 months old give it a shot as Blaze usually is spot on and they will likely clean up or close this spot but this location in 2021 misses the mark. Even the one meal I did get here was of subpar quality (and they didn't clean the pizza cutter between pizzas so def don't eat here if you have allergies). I would recommend Pieology. Their hours are accurate and the food for fast casual pizza is spot on. read more

This location was one of the best I've been too! I walked in and was immediately greeted by two members of staff and instantly asked if I was dining in or taking it to go. The young lady then asked what I was having and I told her Build Your Own with gluten free dough. Kevin was preparing the dough for myself and my husband (who was doing regular dough) and he immediately turned around and asked if there was an allergy and if he needed to change his gloves! That was so amazing to me that he asked me without a second for me to say anything. Most would not have asked. Then he ended up assisting me with my pizza and the way he even stresses everything you could tell he was not a beginner at making pizzas! Between the young lady who started with us and rung us up to Kevin and his awareness of allergies etc, the experience was one of the best I've had! I had to shut it down before ever experiencing the product! So I walked in to Blaze Pizza for the first time this past Saturday. Blaze is similar to the new pizza craze of building your pizza as you go through a line, then they basically nuke it in a gas oven in sheer minutes. Having never been before, I must admit I was a bit confused as I was scouring the big board for direction. Really getting no assistance from the girl working the first station, I had to change my order mid stream as I figured out that you were able to choose toppings as you went through the line. I upgraded, for $2, to the thicker crust and was excited to see the finished product. As I sat at a nearby table, I noticed how many pizzas were coming out virtually charred from overcooking. This was due to the entire staff of young people choosing to shoot the shit instead of doing their job. The young guy actually manning the oven was literally screaming joking comments to co workers down the line. As burnt pizzas would come out, he and his assistants would laugh and put them into to-go boxes. I knew when our two came out that it was time to shut it down. I walked to the counter, as my name was called, and asked who that was for? After being told it was mine, and informing them that it wasn't due to the extreme black charred nature, I asked where the thicker coughed pizza was and why I was charged for it? After fumbling and bumbling, I just said I'll spare them the hassle and request my money back! The manager came out from the back and the entire scene was quiet as everyone went back to work! I informed her of the situation for which she never apologized, seemed indifferent to the story, but granted me my refund without having to ask twice. It's such a shame as I was excited to try this new craze, but even more shocked that the manager seemed either in disbelief of my situation...or just didn't care. read more

Y'all this pizza was delicious! It was an amazing experience making my own pizza. I was able to decide on a dough, toppings, and even drizzles, like bbq sauce and garlic pesto, after my pizza was cooked. The layout was a bit confusing, bc I'd never been here before but these guys helped out. The assembly starts first then you pay and wait for your pizza to be made. Even though they were closing soon, they still were all polite and patience with me for it being my first time.
