I have been visiting this eaetery for some years now. I would like to say that I and my bride love this place and theire Stromboli is top notch and I was there August 22 yesterday an split one with an order of the great American Fries to accompany the main course along with a few soft drinks to wash it down. The fries are up there with the Dair-O fries in KIng. Those two are my top choice in Fries. I have always had great service and the inside is clean and the staff always has a smile on their faces and get your food out to you quickly. That means the world to anyone that is hungry for some good food. You don't get that type of service at Fast Food joints that dot the the area around King, Mt. Airy,Pilot Mountain, or Stanleyville around the Wal-Mart and Sam's Club in that area. Go get some good food and Frnak's and tell them you heard good reviews on Yelp. read more

I came in with a group of friends and got another cheesesteak. "The way it comes" is great. Lots of melty cheese, mushrooms, onions peppers and thin-sliced meat. Quite tasty. The season salt fries are also delicious and cooked nicely. It's a meal that can't be beat. Also, the service. At least for me, there were smiles and they seemed to be enjoying the job. The Stromboli is amazing. We drive 50 minutes to get it. The staff is always nice. Restaurant is clean. Restrooms were clean.

Ordered a small sausage pizza and sat down. Watched two other people come in , order and get their pizza and I'm still sitting there. My pizza was on top of the oven just sitting there! Dude try to hand it to me and I said NO, I want a refund. Guy said they called their order in. I said did they buy a drink then? I saw them order. He gave me the pizza anyway but it's the principal No you don't get MY hard earned money. There are plenty of other places for pizza that deserve money. read more

We have eaten at Franks Restaurant for many years both in the building or getting take-out for eating at home. Tonight I ordered the veggie Stromboli and a small calzone. Both were prepared correctly and were ready at the time promised. All food we have had from Frank's has been consistently good and I know we will eat here again in the future. read more

Many restaurants in rural areas seem to be closed on Monday. We headed out to a different place but found it was closed on Monday as well. I looked for another food option that we had not tried and found Frank's. Looks like they are more geared for takeout but there is seating inside. We shared a calzone and enjoyed it with leftovers to take home. It's a relatively small place with 5 booths and maybe 4 tables inside. There's a picnic table outside as well. There were several other folks eating although it was afternoon. The drink station is self serve. They offer coke products and iced tea. Food is made to order so there's naturally a short wait. I probably wouldn't make it a destination but would stop in if we were in the area. read more

I am an Italian nut so anytime I get to go to an Italian place I jump at the opportunity! I passed by this multiple times on my way to work in Rural Hall as I go to King and was always curious about it so today I made the leap to try it! Frank's is this hole in the wall Italian restaurant that located in the corner of this abandoned plaza with a discount furniture market as one of the only remaining stores in that area. It's definitely an older place as you can tell by the squeaky chairs and chipped off pieces from the furniture, but it is clean, and very quiet which I like as well. They have specials written in a whiteboard at the front of the register, and they are hung high as well. The menu is posted up on this wooden door before you get to the register to order so you will have an idea of what you want BEFORE you get to the beginning of the line.. I opted for the Philly cheese special which was a cheese steak that came with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, mayo (at request) and a LARGE amount of melted provolone cheese which entirely made the sand which!! It was creamy and thick! The sub roll was toasted all around and the flavor was great! I got fries as my side item as it was $1.75 charge to substitute fries for their hot chips. Again, the cheese is what makes this sub as after one bite it's clearly easy to see why! It was all really good and my waitress was really Nice as well! I would come here for lunch anytime! The hole in the wall places tend to have the best food food and this is no different! I'll be back here again for sure! read more

By far the best pizza we have found since we moved to North Carolina. Crust was crispy, cheese was flavorful and most importantly the pizza was NOT soggy. We also had the grilled chicken salad. The chicken was delicious, ranch was wonderful and the salad was filling. The staff is really nice and helpful. read more

This out of the way Pizzeria in Rural Hall is worth the trip. Our favorite is the white pizza, crunchy broccoli, ricotta and mozzarella with generous pieces of sliced garlic. Their regular 'PIES" as we say in NY are just like home. Small place packed with great food. read more

We had the oatmeal and the early bird special on Tuesday. The Food was delicious and the service was excellent. It's always nice to go into a restaurant and the employees are all smiles and happy. It was a quaint little restaurant in a small town in a shopping center but, sometimes you find a real gem! This place is a gem! They sell pizza by the slice ($1.40) and you can add a topping for 50cent each. I got a pepperoni slice, and it was okay. I also got a cheese steak special (12in hot sub for $7.50) and it was pretty good. The prices are very reasonable. Tried a roast beef sub on another visit, and I really liked it. Meatball sub is also very good. The only think I've tried so far that was not all that good, is the spaghetti. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but it just doesn't compare to the other things I've tried. Service has been friendly on each visit. read more

Great local spot! We eat here or have takeout weekly! The lasagna is a tasty made to order go to for us. I love the bright tomato sauce and just the right balance of meat, cheese, pasta and sauce! I just visited Frank's while I was in town visiting friends snd it was delicious! Ricardo was so super helpful and patient while I ordered. As I was eating my carry out pizza from Frank's, I found myself experiencing deja vú. The taste of the pizza was excellent--the toppings were superb--but the crust in the middle was a little limp while the outer crust was really tough. The apokálypsis came when I recalled something that I'd taken scant notice of earlier: on the front of the menu at Frank's, it says: "Operated by Francesco's". Francesco's is a mere 5 minutes away and I reviewed it about a month ago. So I went back and read that review again, and it matched up perfectly with my experience with Frank's. Perhaps it's the same pizza? So here's the bottom line: delicious tasting pizza with crust issues. read more
