Count me in as a Blaze believer. I live right down the street and I'm ashamed it took me so long to get here. The concept is great - if you've read any reviews you know by now its like a Qdoba/Subway of personal pizzas. Other reviews are absolutely correct when they say the build you own is the best bang for your buck. You get unlimited toppings and pay the same price as the signature pizzas. I generally order the Green Stripe but the White Top is good as well. I also really like the Blood Orange Lemonade. For around $10 for a filling meal and a drink, I'm not going to complain about the price. My one complaint, however, is about the process. I have never felt they've had enough workers on the line during the lunch rush and have had significant wait times to make my pie. Never have had to wait long for it to cook and get through the cashier line, but do recommend they work on their staffing towards the beginning of the process. Making your own pizza always turns out amazing, but its a pain to buy all the ingredients you want that you don't usually have, and not the easiest either. Blaze let's you make your own pizza at a really great value and it's quality is pretty darn good. The set-up has been commented upon - it doesn't flow quite as smoothly as a Chipotle or Subway, although maybe it will get better over time - but there are tons of options for your toppings. The crust is thin and the pizza does come out very quickly - I probably only waited four minutes or so. The quality was very good, it seemed like they left it in just the right amount, and the staff was really friendly. I'm still a little skeptical if the flow through the steps of making your pizza will get any more efficient, but for the value and quality I'm willing to be patient and wait. read more

Love the concept - subway / Qdoba style You-tell-Them-what-to-put-on-it pizza just for you. It's actually similar to a trip to Penn Station. You tell them what you want but they have to cook it so you get it maybe 5 mins after you pay. You can get a generously-sized pizza and a drink for about $10 which is cheaper than similar top-shelf fast food like noodles and co or Qdoba. They need more of these around town - for shizzle. read more

With being such a pizza lover, I had to try Blaze. Great idea and pretty good pizza! You step up and pick your crust (regular or gluten-free). Next step- pick your sauce (you can mix too!). CHEESE, so many different wonderful kinds of cheese to choose from. You pick your meat and toppings. You can get as many toppings as you want for $6.95. Great concept for fast yet delicious pizza. Only critique- offering different types of crust/ different styles the crust is made would be a plus that some competitors are already offering. Blaze is a build-your-own pizza chain that offers both regular and gluten free crust. They make many efforts to avoid cross contamination, that was the first thing I noticed when ordering my food. The toppings are laid out in a fashion similar to Subway or Chipotle, with many different sauce and cheese options too! I wasnt terribly impressed with the gluten free crust, but the control they give you over your own toppings is worth overlooking that. Be aware that this place gets totally nuts around lunch time, and the plaza its in has pretty hectic parking. read more

Not bad. I had been hearing this place was "The Chipotle of Pizza" for a while so I had to try it. Pizza was pretty good, moderately priced, not a ton of food but enough for lunch. I had one of the signature pizzas, The White Top, the Alfredo Sauce was really tasty. It was very fast and the restaurants decor was fitting and pretty spacious. Parking is a bear over in this area so I recommend going at either 11 or 1 for lunch as noon it's freaking packed. All in all a good place, I think one downtown would do really well. Super solid pizza place. I will be coming here often. I love pizzas with tons of toppings and at Blaze they are free! I came with my girlfriend and we both thoroughly enjoyed our pizzas. I got a fresh mozzarella, multi meat, basil, onion, oregeno. She got what I will just call an olive pizza (pesto, black olives, green olives, olive oill, pepporoni). Both were very tasty and more than either of us could eat. The only two minor complaints I have are that the pizzas are really not one serving in my opinion, they are about 1.5. I figured this could be alleviated by having one person get a pizza and the other get a salad. then you each get half of both! My other complaint is well documented here, the sogginess. I am fine with it, in fact only the center was soggy on mine, but you just fold lengthwise like an NYC slice and it holds up well. Maybe poke a drain hole in middle ;) The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome even though there were obviously new trainees. What to say about Blaze !!!!??? First of all, there is a producer in the hip hop world called Just Blaze. Every time I walk into Blaze Fast Pizza, I hear his voice yelling "JUST BLAZE" over the top of a song. Since I was told about Blaze, which was essentially about 2.5 weeks ago, I have been several times. I love them. They have pizza's that you can order or they have the Build Your Own option, which in my opinion is the best option available. The price rounds out at about $8 for unlimited toppings on an 11 inch pizza. There is enough to eat, share and save for later depending on what type of appetite you are working with. They are VERY worth the price. The pizza goes in the fire oven and comes out in 180 seconds, of which they slice it and put it in a box for you to take home (or you can always dine in and have unlimited Blood Orange Lemonade refills...more to come about that lemonade). I have yet to dine in. Now about the toppings: When you walk into Blaze, you will notice how one might liken it to the "Penn Station" of Pizza. I would have said subway but I hate subway so I won't compare a five star fast food spot to a 0 star submarine failure. But I digress..... There are LOTS of toppings to choose from and they sit sandwich shop style, each in their own little silver containers awaiting to be picked to add on top of your pizza. They have different sauces, cheeses, an array of vegetables including sliced and sauteed onions, chopped and roasted garlic and tomatoes, basil and spinach, plus there are several more silvery containers full of yummy goodness. The fact that you can add as many of these toppings as you want to your Build Your Own pizza is the stuff pizza dreams were made of ! The crust is thin but not like cracker thing and hard. It's pretty darn perfect and listen, I'm a thick crust gal. I like my crust to be like garlic bread w/pizza on top. So for me to love this pizza w/this thinner crust says a lot. I would tell you the combo I get, but I fear if too many people start ordering it, they may add it to the menu as a style and not give me my props !!!! ;) So let's just have you go up there and have at it ! The lemonade: I like blood oranges. I like lemonade. But can these two coexist in one glass and share the space lovingly ? The answer: ABSOLUTELY!!!! Warning: The lemonade is sweet. It's not bitter and it will make you crave water (if you enjoy the drinking benefits of water), so be prepared to blown away by liquid love in a glass ! This stuff is great. I admit to standing close by and refilling my drink as I have waited on my pizza to get finished baking. I don't know who's idea this was, but the concoction of blood oranges and lemonade was perfect! I can already see them starting to sell this by the jugs. It lays complete and overall claim to ChickFiLe's (spelling..i don't love them enough to look up that spelling) expensive bitter sugar juice. It makes me and all my friends happy and as a matter a fact, I want some now. I would have given Blaze a five star rating but I have to admit that the cross contamination is a problem for me that will help keep me at bay. If they can figure out how to grab one ingredient without it falling into the containers of others, I will change that. The problem with CC is what if someone is allergic to the chicken that someone dropped all over the green peppers, and a server grabs green peppers that has that chicken in it? Then what? Who's fault is that? I had that happen although I'm not allergic. I tend to stray away from square blocks of chicken and would prefer to see a cleaner countertop although I can see how easy it is to get dirty, and a lot less cross contamination. I know it's hard but I'm a little tired of accepting cross contamination as one of those things out of my power. Everyone is doing it now and no one seems to care. Qdoba constantly has brown rice mixed with the white rice. It's ridiculous that no one calls them out on it. I hope that Blaze can get this issue under control so I can give them the fifth star that the star of the show, the pizza and lemonade, should be able to lay claim to. This score is reserved for when a business not only can't get an order right but then as you're leaving decides to mouth off in ear shot of you making light of your issue with their service. I visted this Blaze on 7/29/16, from the start every thing seemed okay just a busy day. But as I and my brother went to get our orders things went down hill from there. The counter was a mess, ingredients getting mixed with others more so than might be expected. Even this is forgivable, however when they have on their website how they will take care to use different gloves for Gluten intolerance you expect them to take care in handling it the entire way. This is not so here, my brothers fiancé who I consider a sister has ciliacs. We watch her order carefully so she won't get sick from it getting contaminated. We make sure to be polite but firm, with the staff. Pointing out why we're being so careful with the order. The vacant look from the guy running the oven as he slid off the third pizza onto the crumb covered rack was last straw. We politely informed them not to worry we would go elsewhere. Took our other pizzas, which were cold now due to the hour it took them to bungle three pizzas and started to leave. It was at this time the manager Adam chose to mouth off as we were leaving the store. Let me say I understand the difficulty of food service, and know there are those just looking not to be happy. But my issue wasn't that, it was making sure someone didn't get violently sick from the cross contamination. Having some smart mouthed pea brained low life make light of that makes my blood boil. If you have some one, anyone with an allergy do not go to this Blaze pizza. The manager Adam and his disregard for people with these issues has made this place unsafe. read more

What a fun, friendly, fast, and fabulous new restaurant in Indy! I went here last night and from the moment I walked in the door to the time I left with my pizza no more than 5 minutes had passed and I only spent around $8 :) The great thing about Blaze, besides the fact that it is freaky fast (a la jimmy johns) is that you can choose as many toppings as you want for the same price. I ordered the Red Vine and added on some goat and Gorgonzola cheeses and it was outstanding! I also noted that everyone working there was genuinely friendly and helpful. This place is such a good bang for the buck! The personal sized pizzas have such craftsmanship and creativity that I'm almost certain that I would have difficulty finding anything on their menu that I don't like. I've tried many of them and have loved each and every one. Not to mention how quickly the food comes out. Since it's fast fired, it is done within just a few minutes. The size of the pizzas is perfect for 1 person if you're feeling pretty hungry, or great to share for more of a snack. This place has gotten wayyyyy worse. Staff doesn't care. My food is always burnt. Cut poorly. Either under sauced or over. They act rude about giving the drizzling you ordered. The online large pizza is always always burnt. When we accidentally ordered two they refused me a refund. So I had to spend $30. As a manger you can allow a refund for a simple mistake. I ordered online earlier today to pick up a special Valentines Day treat for my in-laws and niece. When I got to the store, the girl behind the counter seemingly knew it was me (which was a little creepy-but nice) and got our pizzas ready to be fired. When I double checked that two of the pies were cheese-free, which I had made sure to note online, she discovered that one had cheese. It was quickly remade and the pie came out with all the rest. My only issue with Blaze is if you get carry-out the pies are a little cold when you do get them to your destination. I'm wondering if it would be possible to have it almost all fired and then finish it when you get home? I'm no pizza maker, but it may make it 5 stars. Overall, the quality and the price are pretty fantastic. And it's great to have a place that can accommodate lactose allergies. I am one happy repeat customer. read more

Blaze pizza is one of my favorite spots in Indy. As soon as you enter the restaurant, your nose is greeted by the pleasant smell of various pizzas roasting in the brick oven. The location is a decent size, but it gets extremely crowded during the lunch rush -- be prepared to wait and stand for a while. I really love the "build your own pizza" option. First of all, Blaze is the bomb.com. A CHAIN restaurant that offers vegan cheese?? Amazing. Then, on top of that, they make you a personal pizza with your choice of toppings that is done in just a few minutes?! I can't get enough. Another reviewer described this as comparable to a Subway, for pizza, in terms of how the food is prepared, which I can get behind. However, this tastes WAY better than Subway, or any of those cheaper chain pizza places. I first discovered Blaze in South Bend, but was overjoyed to find it is actually a chain restaurant that can be found in a number of large cities. I visited this particular location after Indiana Comic Con, so I entered the restaurant in full, Megara-as-Hades regalia. Imagine if you will, my skin painted gray from head to toe, and long, blue wig, white eye contacts, navy blue Megara dress... you get the idea. Outside the convention center, I looked like one of "those" people. The staff at this location were GREAT. The girl that made my pizza was SO excited, very friendly and talkative, wanted to know all about the convention as she worked. The guys had questions and asked for pictures, but did not slow down service at all. It was a fun bunch overall, and it's service like this that makes a business memorable, worth coming back for. I've been here 3 times and I've only been *slightly* dissatisfied once -- but first, the 2 times I did love it, I had a healthy amount of toppings, it was fast, and it tasted delightful. They address you by name, and are very accommodating in adding "more of this" and "light on that". The one time I wasn't happy, I chose to try the gluten free pizza crust because I was heading to a meeting later that afternoon, and I didn't want to be bloated and uncomfortable (I know, I know.... eat something other than pizza). The crust I got was super thin. Like... paper thin. And it is put in the oven on a separate baking stone... so it didn't get crispy. yes, I realize this is because I ordered gluten free crust and they have the separate stone in order to cut down on contamination.... so I get it. It was a hot mess to eat. Albeit a delicious hot mess. I'll probably stick with the regular crust and a more comfortable outfit from now on. Side note, the acoustics are horrible up at the counter where you order, and I had to ask the employees to repeat themselves a couple times -- apparently they're used to it. There are not a lot places you can take a four year old with a gluten allergy to for pizza near Riley childrens hospital. Blaze is one though. We had a cheese gluten free, another gluten free with sausage, cheese, spinach and peppers and the Art Lover pizza. The gluten free crust was very good and the veggies were all fresh. The service was very quick (had our food in about 7 minutes) and staff was friendly. It is noisy and lunch crowd made it very crowded. Parking is always tough at this time of day as well. read more

I was very disappointed today at my visit to Blaze. I am a vegan and always ask for a glove change and notify them I am vegan. I request for my vegetable toppings to come from a new container or the back prep due to items falling in and cross contamination with meat products. The staff started to accommodate me, but then the manager said no he didn't want to open new containers. I had to explain why I would not eat the toppings with other foods fallen into it and pointed to items on the line to stress my point. What restaurant doesn't accommodate food restrictions and concerns from a customer? It ruined my experience! I think I will take a break from Blaze Pizza. read more

But the simple fact that you can have a pizza with everything on it it's one flat rate is downright amazing, most the time that's how these pizza chains make all their money. So the idea of unlimited toppings and trying things you never been able to try before is pretty much awesome! I'm surprise more these haven't popped up around the city versus just in a college town area. But if you're in a hurry and want really good fast food/pizza this is the spot! read more
