Well I ordered today for the first time from blaze pizza via DoorDash. They had an offer. Buy one get one free, for a 2 tops pizza; it was really a good deal. Unfortunately, I had ordered mushroom and artichoke, and I only received artichoke on my pizza‼ When I called blaze pizza, they told me they ran out of ‍ mushroom So I had to call Doordash and I got a small compensation of $10 Overall, it was really good and I love the crust being so thin and crispy I will order again read more

The spicy pepperoni had just the right amount of kick, and the honey sauce on the meatball was a deliciously sweet and savory combo. The only downside was the crust thin for my taste, though it had a nice crunch. Overall, it's a great spot for a casual bite, and I was able to get both items for around $17, which felt pretty reasonable for the quality. I came in today and the people who worked there were friendly. I ordered the build your own pizza. I paid $15.35 for this tiny pizza. I wanted banana peppers on the side bc they taste better cold. I was told it would be a additional 79 cents. When I explained that I paid more for the pizza with unlimited toppings, they said it didn't matter. I left without my banana peppers. I felt like this business is greedy. How are you going to charge me for banana peppers when I paid for the unlimited toppings? I truly love the convenience and selection of ingredients Blaze has. Being vegan, it's great to be able to load up a pizza with as much stuff as I want. The price point is also a huge benefit. My only qualm is the inconsistency of service and the quality of products they use, but hey it is a large franchise so you have to take that into consideration. Let me begin by saying that I have been a loyal customer of Blaze Pizza since it opened in my area and have always been happy. With that said, last night I decided to try their combo at this location: 1/2 of a 11" pizza with a side "berry salad." I ordered it on my Blaze app like I always do. When I walked in to pick up my order, it was ready at the promised time which was a plus to my review. Unfortunately, when I got home and opened up my pizza box, I found 4 measly shriveled pieces of pizza that did not have a lot of toppings, were burnt on the bottom, burnt on the actual sides of the tiny slices and the top of the slices looked like they had been sitting under a heated lamp at 7-Eleven. Yes!!! I kid you not. Look at my pics below! The salad was delicious but again, hardly any feta cheese. I was starving and when I saw the slices my drooling mouth dropped in disappointment. Seriously, you could tell they took random slices from some left over pizza and gave them to me. I complained online and have heard nothing back. There is no one to call?! WTH. They revert you back to their website that obviously does not care about customer service. Not good marketing when you are a huge corporation and known around the country. I don't usually review chain type establishments, however, if I say something unusually good or sometimes bad I think it's important to review. I often go to Blaze Pizza when I am rushed and I don't have time to cook. As we all know by now Blaze is a really good value for a quick delicious pizza. I usually do the build your own and get every single vegetable, all for about $11. The reason I felt obligated to review is because I noticed the staff at the North Hollywood Blaze is really really good. Since the pandemic I have been using the curbside pick up and have never been disappointed. It is a well oiled machine that I can count on. But I noticed the staff always takes extra care when I called to notify them that I have arrived. For example, they always ask if there's anything else they can get me. It's a small gesture but one that I really appreciate. In addition, they are always so polite and friendly. In particular Shelby is great! As I mentioned, Shelby is wonderful but I noticed that without exception almost everybody has that same friendly polite demeanor, which tells me that there is good management at this location. It's a small thing that means a lot to workers, that atmosphere where everybody's having a good time and enjoying the work and therefore it shows to the customers. If I could, I would give this place or let me rather say this supposedly excuse of a manager (which I do not believe he was) a minus10. I guess this arrogant, unprofessional, disrespectful and intimidating kid who obviously the impression has when he is wearing his cheap polo shirt and is behind his counter that this is giving him is right to abuse senior customers! Well, kiddo you picked the wrong one. My spouse and I went there tonight (as we do on occasions) to have one of their great pizzas. It started getting quite busy. Behind us were quite a lot of kids. It was about 9:00pm. My spouse and I asked for a so-called high-rise dough. That kid behind the counter was very nice and friendly indeed. He wrote down our names and something else on 2 different papers where the dough goes. Seconds later we saw that 2 high-rise raw doughs were placed on each paper. My spouse was before me, so the next guy behind the counter gave him the sauce he wanted and cheese and whatever. One of a sudden when I looked at my piece of paper where my dough was supposed to be. It was gone. I waited fora while and the people behind me were ordering and I even stepped a bit behind in order to leave someone go by so he could continue doing his order. The one of a sudden I saw that guy who was doing something at the area where they do normally press the doughs. He was pressing some dough by hand and then he brought it over and this hideous unskilled made uneven flat thing. I looked at him and said. No! Iam not taking this. These doughs are supposed to go into a press in order to be evenly thick. I mean what the heck was he thinking? Then one of a sudden some young guy came brought back that same thing, asked me roughly what sauce I want I said double regular tomato and I was fuming inside already. Then he asked me totally aggressive what cheese. I pointed out fresh Mozzarella. He just tossed them carelessly all in the middle and when I said that would like salami on it he did the same. At that point I had enough. A next person was going to ask me what veggies I want. I asked him who the manager is. He pointed me to this jerk of a kid who most likely just crawled out of his diapers. I just told the guy. I am not taking this disgusting pizza. Then my spouse and I left. I wonder if this guy would have pulled of this outrageous behavior with somebody younger. This is my second review. The first time I was very disappointed. My friends told me to give it a second chance.The food is just average and nothing special. It's good for a quick meal when you're on the run. The food is constant and just what you'd expect from a simi fast food place. The service is outstanding and very friendly along with being helpful. The ambiance is low key and has plenty of room for dining in. They have no outdoor dining space. Parking is usually very easy. I ordered my pizza online through the Blaze App and my pizza was made disgustingly. I ordered red sauce dollops on my pizza and they added the red sauce dollops AT THE END after the rest of the pizza was cooked, so I received cold red sauce dollops that drenched my entire pizza. They also put on an excessive amount of the balsamic drizzle which was puddled on top of the pizza along with the red sauce dollops. My pizza was so soggy I couldn't lift a slice up without the toppings all dripping off. I tried to salvage as much of the pizza as I could and actually cook the red sauce so I heated it in my toaster oven. In my first bite, there was a LONG HAIR coming out of my mouth. This was truly the worst pizza experience I've ever had. I am appalled that someone working at your restaurant could confidently allow this pizza to leave the restaurant to be served to customers. I had absolutely no desire to eat this pizza. On top of that, my delivery person dropped off my pizza at the completely wrong address about two streets away and I had to walk to meet him. I have been a loyal Blaze customer for years and your quality has been declining over the last 2 years. ooooof do not go to this location lol I was literally aww struck at how much of a mess it was. The employees were so out of it. Off the bat they couldn't even properly answer what the different size options were. They were so sloppy- at the sauce stage they poured white sauce into all their other sauce containers. At one point they put the wrong topping and when my husband corrected them they plucked it off the pizza and put it back into the container.... we're talking about broccoli that had been covered in sauce put back into it's container. The fountain drink machine was down. Basically this location severely needs new employees or some step in from management. Big fan of Blaze Pizza. This location does not disappoint. Huge windows, lots of natural lighting and a large outdoor patio as well. Large free parking lot space as well. They are always well staff and you are in and out in minutes. They have a lunch hack deal which is $5 for a half pizza unlimited toppings Monday - Friday til 4 pm. I highly recommend getting the dough knots as a side as it is filled with cheese and pesto! The strawberry salad is fresh tasting and the red vine pizza is done perfectly. If you are a vegetarian oh gosh you are in luck, their veg out pie looks so pretty and taste amazing! Everything is all natural, no artificial colors, preservatives or added colors as well! I'm not sure if she was having a bad day but if you are in the service industry, you should be nicer. She may have been the manager bc the the person who started the order kept asking her questions about our order and she was the one who cashed us out. Was happy that a new food spot opened up in the Empire Center and pizza is always a bonus! First off, the staff was supremely professional, attentive, pleasant and efficient. Bravo to the staff. There are various pizza joints of this style that have popped up over the past couple of years, and honestly, the market can bear them all, if they deliver on quality and BLAZE does just that. It's a good relaxing spot to hang solo or with friends and you'll enjoy your selection. I do need to remember to ask for extra crispy crust next though! I go to this location quite often since I live in the area. It's a great choice when you want something indulgent, savory, and carb-y, but also something that's not fried. You really can't beat the speed and the quick satisfaction from a personal pizza. I definitely have my go-to's. I like the white top pizza, art lover pizza, and I usually always order some ranch dip to dip my pizza and to dip my crust into so I don't waste any of the food. I enjoy adding the whole garlic pieces for irregular bursts of flavor, and I love that they have artichoke hearts so you can feel somewhat healthy when you build your own pizza. My roommate is also a big fan of the maple glaze sauce. I usually don't order it but it's pretty good paired with the BBQ Chicken Pizza (CPK eat your heart out). We both love getting the fruity lemonades too. They are quite sweet, so I usually at a small splash of water just to mellow it out a smidge. This area is in a big plaza, which are very rare in LA but get more common the farther up north you get. Parking is never a hassle (it makes me happier than it should because I lived in Hollywood for 2 years), and I love that this plaza has salons, gyms, and a CVS for you to get some errands done if you need. The reason why I give this place a 3 and not a 4, though is because of pickup issues I've had. The whole of point of ordering online or through their app is to make things very easy and clear for both the customer and the staff building the pizza. The last couple of times I've ordered with the app (I always try to get points and using the app is the easiest way to do it), something is always missing. My main meat, bacon, was missing once. And twice already I specifically asked for a side of ranch and it was missing both times. I don't like having to double check my order at the store because I do want to be mindful of the staff's feelings and it's a hassle for me too. But because they haven't fixed this issue despite me writing them about it in their online surveys, I always have to open by box to check my order OR I just walk to the store to order the pizza in person to make sure everything is done right, which is a waste of my time in comparison to ordering ahead for pickup. Food is great. Service has been lacking lately. This is the second time in a week I've come here. I do the app and order pickup as I live close by. I waited about 10 minutes last week to basically be noticed or helped fully. I saw my pizza sitting there ready to go on the counter but had had a small free brownie dessert in my order that was not prepped everyone kept trying to give me the S'more. I finally had to call out the staff on their slowness to get my order pizza and dessert to go. So I figured that was maybe a fluke. Sadly it was not. Well I'm here a week later and the same thing is happening. Online order for pickup. It's 10 minutes past when my order was ready and I hear the staff just realizing they need to make one of my pizzas for my order. I have a drink with my order and I had to ask if I could get it ahead of time realizing I'd be here waiting again and at least enjoy some more tasty aguta fresca. So now 15 minutes past when my order is ready I have my food and killed the entire time while I waited writing this review. Manager - Your issue from a customer perspective is you have no line or indication for anyone doing pickup or grabbing food for grub hun etc. And the customer is never greeted when they enter or asking if they need help or waiting by the cash register awkwardly for a pickup. Please fix this. It's simple business practices and people make their first impressions within the first 7 seconds of meeting Someone. Apparently I forgot to post the above from a few Months ago. Horrible Customer Service... This place is ran by a lot of incompetent people that do not have the skills or personality to work with the public. So I ordered a pizza and paid online... I received a text saying that my order was ready - I did not arrive to Blaze until about 30 mins after I received the text that my order was ready. I get there and they tried to hand me an 11-inch personal pizza. I said this is not my order, I order a large pepperoni (as I do from there at least once a week). The guy told me I was wrong - so I went back to my car and got my phone to show him my receipt. Another employee comes over and says that it will be about 15 mins while they prepare my order. I said - I have a text that my order was ready about 30 mins ago. He says that someone must've taken it, I said ok cool - can I have a drink while I wait because this is not a me issue, this is a Blaze issue that you all gave away my order and want me to wait another 15 mins for a new order. The guy was very rude and said we did not give your pizza away, someone took it. I said yes - they took it because you gave it to them. Nobody knew my name or order so how did a random person just walk in and take my order? He was very rude and said I was just trying to get a free drink. I explained to him and the whole crew that if you give away someone's order the best thing to do is to apologize and make the customer (me) happy and the least you can do is offer me a free drink while I wait for you to correct your mistake (giving away my pizza). He was so rude and said "well I can give you a refund" - I said yes give me a refund. He walked away - I said "no do it now" so I can see the refund. He said he needed a Manager - I said well give it back to me in cash and he said that it was not allowed. I obliged and said ok put it back on my card. A female employee came over to help with the refund and tried to give me less than what I paid for my order. I said NO - I want a full refund. Long story short - they had to call a manager (I was there and heard them make up a lie on the phone with the manager as if I was just being rude and asking for a refund). I finally got my refund and left. They never apologised for them giving away my order and were SUPER rude the entire time. I have never received such poor customer service in my life. read more
