I was in Reno for work and needed to grab a quick yet fulfilling meal. I have been to a blaze type place before and figured a quick pizza is the way to go. I walked into what seems like a recently opened restaurant and was very shocked to see the place was packed. Families and individuals were not only in a line to the door but every table was full. I figured this to be a result of a newly opened restaurant, until I got to my pizza. The ordering process was simple the staff piled my pie with wtv I wanted, there was no limit to the mass of toppings. The pie came out hot and glorious. I was able to squeeze into a spot sit down and go to town. The pizza for ~$8 was not only perfectly cooked but the fresh ingredients and customization was well worth the money. Visited Blaze last weekend with a big group of friends and it was hands down the best pizza I've ever had in Reno -- super fresh, totally customizable, and great customer service. My recommendation: Go for the high-rise crust pizza, ask for pesto around the edge, and get half white sauce & half red sauce. In terms of pizza toppings, you can't go wrong. They've got pretty much anything you'd want to put on a pizza. And as soon as it comes out of the open-flame oven, the Blaze team is there to add any sauces or extras you want to add. And don't skip the dessert! The cookies & brownies were amazing! I've been to a few Blaze locations before, and this one is the most impressive in terms of available seating, easy parking, and great family-friendly environment. My husband and I needed to get fast food for dinner and couldn't agree on getting the same thing. I took him to the Taco Bell across the street and I was going to get Blaze after. We got stuck waiting in the drive thru for over 30 minutes of Taco Bell so after getting out of line it was 15 minutes till Blaze was closing so I rushed over there. The door was unlocked, the lights were on; I walk in and immediately get told that they're closed for the night and to leave. If you're going to close 15 minutes early then change your hours or wait to do closing chores until the door is locked. Or better yet, if you're going to close early then lock the doors so people don't walk in only to be told to turn right back around. Guess I don't get dinner tonight, thanks for nothing Blaze. read more

I've been wanting to try Blaze, since I saw it, when I got my hair cut at Sports Clips, jusa few doors down. I'm so glad I ordered from them through Grubhub tonight! I'm a big bread fan, and a good pizza crust is important to me. I want a properly textured thin crust, that's barely thick enough to hold the toppings together. Blaze delivered on this, and the toppings were just what I wanted. The Red Vine Combo is a great choice, when you want me one thing light and lively. It was easy to choose, because, with that 11" pizza, I received a free 11" pizza, which I created myself, as a two topping pie. I chose bacon and kalamata olives, over a creamy white sauce, with a sprinkling of arugula and pesto. If you appreciate those ingredients separately, you'll probably like them combined. Oh, don't forget the ranch dressing on the side. Although, I consider myself a traditional, when it comes to pizza, ranch does a great job of making the leftover crust easy to finish off. For now, I'm calling this combo, "The Joey G", in honor of me. I think it's about time, I have a dish named after me. They have a couple of crust options, I chose their original and had cheese, pepperoni, sausage, tomatoes and and herbs. It was alright-not bad, not great. Just average. I ordered their 2 signature pizzas, meat eater and veg out. I was highly disappointed. The toppings were extremely skimpy. Broccoli on pizza is absolutely disgusting and I like broccoli. The blob of sauce I do not understand. The meat eater was dry and chewy. I did taste the sauce with the knots and it is very good. The crust has little flavor and was overcooked. With all the pizza competition in town I think they need to step it up .....a lot. read more

Well tried it again and honestly I don't think I'll go back. I placed a order for pick up for 6:00pm it was 6:18 and guess what I have cold ass pizzas. Bravo glad I wasted 36$ on this crap. Yelp need to change this to zero stars. So I will heat my pizza up in my oven because yeah thanks for nothing but a burnt but soggy pizza how does that happen In answer to you I don't want your one free pizza. I ordered a vegan pizza and toppings and a brownie. Drove to Carson and when we opened the box it had sausage and pepperoni and no brownie. The worst part is it is impossible to contact the agency you are directed to with an issue. The email doesn't work and if you call, you have to first state in a dialogue box why you are contacting them and then enter the code they email. Never received a code. They may have good pizza but if you get the wrong order they don't care. Never going there again, too many other good pizza places to go. read more

I visited blaze on Thursday 05/31/2018. The place was newly opened in South Reno area, the lines where long and out into the parking lot. It's worth the wait. I ordered High Rise pizza, which is a little thicker then the regular one, for 2 dollars more totally worth it. The ambience of the place the service, friendly staff Good pizza, I would definitely be back. Its one of the best pizza I ever had. I highly recommended the place to friends, family and co-worker. my friend ordered a small drink and was not given a receipt but was given a water cup instead of a small drink. the employee with black weird beard scruff and black hair came over and started yelling at him and making a scene grabbing his water cup from his hand and throwing it away when in fact it's was blazes fault for giving him the wrong cup. I have been a long time customer at this location. Today, I checked the hours, Closes at 9pm. I showed up at 8:31pm to order 2 pizzas with my wife. Since we were the only customers I asked the man on shift if they are still open, his reply was "I guess, for next couple of mins" while pulling his phone out of his pocket to check the time. Strike 1. When he was taking my order, the female behind the counter Slammed the Plastic dough box on the counter. Strike 2 They have made sure that the next person that walks in those doors can't ruin their perfectly stocked line. Bummed to find out today that they replaced their gluten free vegan crust option with cauliflower crust. The cauliflower bound with milk and eggs meaning the only vegan option has gluten. Not to mention I don't love having cauliflower crust forced on me. I asked the guy making the pizza twice if the cauliflower crust was vegan. He said yes twice. I asked the manager who informed me of the dairy and eggs. I walked out. I won't eat gluten just to have vegan crust. My Pie still has a gluten free vegan option so I'll go there. read more

We love Blaze! Quick stop for pizza and salads, this location is always busy. Minutes away from my house and quick stop on my way back from work when I do go in the office. Took a friend that had never been to a build your own pizza establishment. We both enjoyed our individual pizza. The assortment of toppings were so appealing. The price was less than $9 per pizza. The service was awesome, we were asked if we'd been before, we replied no so we were givin the low down on how to. Very satisfied with the pizza, service, and cost. My one complaint I have is my pizza builder asking me questions while the cashier is asking if I want dessert. It's also very loud with music and employees talking. Blaze makes pretty good pizzas. We enjoy these types of restaurants so we can each get our own pizza with different toppings. Blaze is quick, service is good and their pizzas are good. We have always preferred Mod, for some reason, but we still really enjoy Blaze. They also have a rewards program, so you can earn free food and drinks. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and plenty of parking. read more

Recently had such an uncomfortable experience at this location! I've been before and service has been fine. But this time, the employees were incredibly rude and complaining about their jobs. Two men were making pizzas for my boyfriend and I, and they spent the whole time talking to each other and not listening to us. He put cheese on my pizza without asking and seemed troubled when I asked for additional toppings. Following all that, we were ignored for a good five minutes at the cash register while four or five of the male employees were behind the counter, talking and ignoring us. One of the new "dress your pizza how you like it" places. This place offers a half and half: a small salad and half pizza, which was a nice option. They have some fun alternatives to the usual sodas too. We liked the black cherry soda (though we were surprised at the clear color) and blood orange lemonade. Not quite as many toppings offered as Mod, but we aren't the type to load our pizza, so that was fine. They seemed to have a lot of staff but service was a bit slow and the tables weren't bussed. Jay was working hard! I prefer Mod, but this place is close to work, so I'm sure I'll be back. Gluten free and cauliflower crusts available for an upcharge. read more
