My favorite go-to build your own pizza place. I've tried multiple places like Pieology and MOD pizza, but nothing can compare to Blaze. From the beginning of the greetings from (some) happy employees to the mountain of toppings on your pizza and ending with a happy, full stomach. No matter the amount of toppings that you put on your pizza, the crust will always remain as the solid foundation. The pizza is not soggy and always comes out fresh! Came here on 10/13 for dinner with my boyfriend and we were extremely unsatisfied. First off Briana had so much attitude and was disrespectful when I had simple asked if they offered chicken as a meat option because their signs were missing many options so I simply thought they didn't have it or were out. Then when I had asked she rolled her eyes and pointed at a bin with attitude. Then when she walked us over to the register to check out, we asked for medium fountain drinks and she said with attitude again "we only have two sizes". You can never go wrong with pizza, especially when it is make your own. We stopped in for lunch one day during the lunch rush. The restaurant was crowded and loud but Blaze was great about keeping everyone moving. I love the make your own concept and I love that there is not a limit on toppings. All of the ingredients that Blaze used were fresh and delicious. They also had some amazing seasonal beverages that were a really nice treat. I will say a buzzer system or something might work a little better then having to wait right next to the window for your food to come out, especially during peak times. read more

Visited Blaze pizza for the first time a few nights ago on a Friday night and then went back yesterday afternoon. Both times I got the Red Vine pizza. Both visits were during busy service times. The employees were friendly and very efficient in moving the line along. The only reasons I didn't give 5 stars are that both times I had to ask for extra basil bc I wanted basil on every slice. As you can see from the pictures I did not get my wish. I did try to tell the counter person to spread the basil around. Both times I got blank looks and they just threw on a few extra pieces. Anyway, both pizzas tasted fresh and the crust was nice and crunchy. The first time I said yes to the addition of salt and oregano but I found the finished product to be a bit salty. The 2nd time I just went with the oregano and it was much better. My husband tried the 1/2 salad and 1/2 pizza option the first night and he said the salad was so filling he couldn't finish his pizza. He liked his meal though. The 2nd time he got the Vegetable Lover and he loved the Blue Cheese crumbles. He said it made the pizza extra yummy. Came to this Blaze and for the first time ever they denied giving me more mozzarella cheese. Of course I understand they are likely trying to cut costs. So, I even offered to pay for extra but the acting shift lead on 5/12/23 at 735pm told me "they have no way to ring that up." Never had this issue at any Blaze location. Very disappointed with my visit. Customer service was terrible. My pizza was made by a girl name Veronica or Valerie and she had the worst attitude smh. When I first got there, no other customers were after me only a couple before me that they already served. I waited about 8-10 minutes before this girl finally started my order. Prior to me waiting she was working on mobile orders and she had a girl cut in front of me and made her pizza even though I was there first. So we were already off to a bad start. But she finally got to me and in a very negative tone she started asking what I wanted. I said I'll do the unlimited toppings and proceeded with the toppings I wanted. As she placed my toppings on the pizza I noticed how sloppily and very little the toppings were so I asked if she could put more to where she replied "I can't give you more than that because we're portioning" so I told her that she's the first person thats said that and I literally come once a week here. She said that's their policy and that got me more upset because then the "unlimited toppings" isn't so unlimited right? But then we continue on and as I got to the register to pay I asked for a manager. The guy at the register (I forgot his name) he asks me what's wrong and that he could help because he's the supervisor. I told him I rather speak to a manager because I don't want my message to be relayed wrong. So he leaves to the back to look for a manager phone number and he comes back saying I could come back tomorrow in the mornings to speak to him. So I ask for a number for his manager? And he said they don't have one that I'd have to come back tomorrow. So he asks again to explain my situation and before I did I asked him so what are their standard amount of pepperoni placed on the pizza? He said 5 in & 3 out. So I told him okay so that's my problem, the girl that did my pizza only put 4 slices and when I asked for more she said she can't because of portion control. Then the "supervisor" said that she was waiting for me to add more toppings and I told him no she wasn't because I kept asking for more meat and she kept telling me there's portion control and not giving me more and passed my pizza down to the next station. By that point I'm already angry and annoyed. Then I told this "supervisor" that's why I wanted to talk to a manager because obviously he's not understanding where I'm coming from. Then I had to ask for my receipt 4 times because the first few times he acted like he didn't hear me or he was playing dumb and not trying to give me my receipt so I don't complain smh. Very disappointed especially when my family and I have been coming here for a year now since we moved here to Riverside. I've never had such terrible service here than that night, but then again this was the first time I went during the evening. We ordered three pizzas with pepperoni , sausage , veggies , sausage ....Not only they got ALL THREE orders wrong , the quality of the pathetic pizzas was horrible . The dough was hard , dry and burnt . The pepperoni which was the only item out of 4 they managed to place on each of the pizzas was so hard and gooey that you could not bite or tear into it . I didn't feel the need to give this establishment a rating because it's a chain restaurant so you're bound to come here anyways. But because I love this place so much, I had to have my say. First of all, I'd like to establish that I absolutely LOVE that this place has fixed nutrition facts. Being someone who tracks their food for every meal, it's nice to know that if I craved pizza, I can always come here because they have fixed proportions (like Subway). My housemate and I just finished our first finals and decided to stop by Blaze for a late dinner. We honestly didn't expect much from our visit, but we left the restaurant a lot happier than we walked in. Let me tell you, it wasn't just because we were full, it's because of the amazing workers that greeted us the minute we walked through the door. I'm an avid blaze eater and I can tell you that I've never felt so welcomed and comfortable when entering a blaze restaurant. Joe greeted me when I just got through the door. GMO handled my order and took the effort to make sure my name was spelled correctly. Raymond rung up my order at the end. Luis was in the back but came out to make sure there was spinach for my pizza because the front was out. Jesus and Frank brought me my pizza and gave me the perfect amount of pesto drizzle. I did notice that some locations had more of a variety of toppings than other locations but specifically this one had a lot! I love how thin the crust is because I'm not a huge fan of crust. Portion size is filling. One pizza can fill up one person with a piece or 2 left over. Still delicious after the next day! Service (4 stars): Workers serving you are very nice. Who can say no to pizza? People who have no taste, that's who! Blaze Pizza is one among many build your own pizza places/chains, but it does stand out as a strong contender. I think it does have the greatest variety and options out of all the other BYOP restaurants I've been to, which is a strong bonus. I've never had ovalini mozzarella before coming here, but the decision to try it out changed my life! Not really, but it's good. Some guy in front of me added it to his pizza one of the first times I went, so I decided to copy him, and it was definitely a win. I tend to add loads of meat and mushrooms, basil and maybe tomatoes and peppers. This place can get pretty packed considering it's in Riverside Plaza, but they're able to churn it out relatively quickly. Plus, everyone's pretty friendly enough. There's CPK right around the corner, but I'd definitely choose Blaze over CPK any day. read more

I love blaze! I'm used to having Pieology back home, but this is as good! The staff here is always so nice and easy to talk to. I always do a build your own and put whatever I want on it. They do not have a limit on what toppings you can put on there which is awesome! Put all the meat and veggies on there as you please! If you're indecisive like me ( or as I call creative) They allow you to mix sauces as well! I love mixing their white sauce and their marinera sauce together. It makes the tomato sauce more creamy. You can also drizzle sauces on top when it comes out of the oven. My favorite is usually the pesto or the bbq sauce. IF you like to be extra saucy like me, you can also ask for ranch on the side! Disappointing dinner tonight. I normally get a tasty pizza but tonight I got a charred pizza. It was so burned that I only ate some of it while I was hungry and didn't really noticed how burned the bottom was. Too far to drive back and get a new one. I have to say that I love Blaze. I definitely prefer Blaze over Pieology and MOD. I either visit once every other week or order off Postmates. I have been to around 7-8 different Blaze locations and I am sad to say that this location is pretty disappointing. The service is disheartening and dispiriting. Maybe the other locations has set the bar high, but this place can ruin one's mood. I always "build-my-own" pizza and I understand that each topping has a set amount, but sometimes I wouldn't even get the bare minimum. Every time I had ordered pizza and asked for mozzarella, I noticed that they tend to measure it out to be around one scoop. The past three weeks, I had an encounter with an employee named Valerie. She isn't happy to work here and has the worst customer service. I don't know if she is too lazy to refill the toppings, but she can get very pity. When I would ask "Can I please get more of...?" I usually got an annoyed "What?" in response. Another employee, whose name I didn't get, was working at the cutting/finishes section. He called my name and I asked to add some finishes. He was so annoyed and he rudely said, "Next time, tell the cashier what you want, not here." (Never was I told this.) So the next time, I did tell the cashier and she circled the finishes, but made one circle two big that it included two finishes. I came home with an unwanted sauce all over my pizza. I have included pictures, where you can see arugula and buffalo being circled together. There is also a picture where you can see how burnt my pizza was that I didn't even finish it. This review only got an additional star, because of the employee named Kimberly. Best customer service! She would constantly say, "Does this look ok? Is this good for you?" Gave me the wrong pizza . Came in around 10:30pm and ordered a pizza with lots of toppings and meat. Didn't check the box when I left because I was like the last person there. Saw them build my pizza and this is what i saw when i got home... No way they gave me the random pizza i heard them talking about "what do I do with this?". Sad experience since this pizza is so sad.
