A crowd of untrained young people who has zero interest to listen customers and do order according their preferences. This place makes a great quick oven fired pizza. They have an easy menu, lots of choices, and very friendly staff. I've eaten here several times and never been disappointed with my pizza. Friendly faces everywhere asking how everything is and making sure you are happy with your product. Even when they're busy it takes no time to get your order. The tables are clean and spotless. Drink station is immaculate. Condiments are always plentiful. I love that they have an outdoor eating area and plenty of room to sit back and relax. Super DISGUSTING!! Drove across town for a pizza to find it ran by a team of high school kids that have 0 sanitation knowledge! I order a high rise and they made some sarcastic jokes, okay haha funny. They get a pie rise out and it has a brown oil that looked disgusting! Really great "fast food pizza". Think "subway type line" to build your own or choose from the favorites option. It was fast, efficient, great customer service, and delicious thin crust pizza. I got the Linked In - which is sausage + carmelized onions with red sauce (you could make this with white sauce as well) and it came out in under 10 mins. There is plenty of seating inside and out. Fast pizza I was over by UTC and decided to stop in at Blaze, which is just across the street. They offer quickly made pizza and that's what I got today. They list some specialty pizzas or you can construct something. I selected their Meat Eater pizza. The place was kind of noisy, maybe that added an energetic feel, but it made it harder for me to hear the questions being asked when I was ordering. The Meat Eater pizza was good, with a very thin crust that I assume is the case for any pizza ordered. The meat portion was pepperoni and crumbled meatball, and the pizza also came with red onions. I would have also liked ham and bacon and sausage as well, but the overhead menu was clear on what meats I would get. Not sure if I could add more items and I didn't pay attention to what was available as I watched with interest as my pizza maker spread the sauce and fill the top with pepperoni slices. Once I reached the end of the line and paid I started timing, and it was only 4 minutes before my pizza was ready and my name called. The pizza was hot out of the oven, flame cooked, and looked and tasted great. It was not a huge amount of food. Blaze cares too, stopping by to ask if everything was ok. If this review was based purely on the food and the staff behind the counter, I could easily give five stars. The food is aways great with fresh toppings, and the staff are very efficient and polite, regardless of how busy they are. However... During my visit during the day yesterday, the restaurant was so uncomfortably cold, sitting outside in 64 degrees was warmer by far. I had mentioned it to a staff member and the Guest Relations manager, but completely felt blown off as I was told management often disagrees with the thermostat setting. While I understand it probably get's hot in the kitchen, having a setting that makes your customers completely uncomfortable should not be an option, and a reasonable setting needs to be established. Nearly every visit, my meal is interrupted by a Guest Relations Manager to tell me about their cookies, their gift cards, and their app. Personally, I go out to eat to relax either to get away from the office, or for a nice night out. The large advertisement while waiting in line, is easily seen. Upset me on a cookie while I'm paying at the register. Asking me how everything is can be great, but don't engage and interrupt customers during their meal to tell them about your app. For me, it will make me think twice to go to a place where I can eat in piece without feeling like I am being visited bu a car salesman. read more

There is plenty of parking and seating. There is an option for both indoor and outdoor seating. This is cafeteria style pizza with gourmet taste. You enter a line and choose the toppings you would like on your pizza. You can also choose a side salad or an entree salad. I chose the simple pie since I'm not a big pizza fan. This pie was only $5.50. The most expensive pizza on the menu is $8.45 and of course it includes the works. The crust was thin and crisp but not too hard. The flavor was bold but tasty. The portion was great as I took half of my pie home for dinner. Besides the average soda fountain, they have a juice bar. You seat yourself and grab the items you need from the self-serve condiment bar. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. Next time I will take a chance at ordering toppings and be adventurous. My neighbor told me that Blaze Pizza was a franchise hit or miss. Sometimes good and sometimes not so good. The place looked great and I was excited to drive over to University Town Center from Anna Maria Island and try them out. You order, pay and sit. Then they yell your name out to come back up and grab your pizza. So I found a seat and starting drinking my $5 beer. After 10 mins or so pizza was ready, they called out my name and I was ready. Got the pizza, walked back to my table. First bite, great cheese, nice sauce and dried up, BURNED crust. What a shame, because the dough had good possibilities. Flipped it over and it was black. When I asked them about the black crust, I was told that it's the way that they do it. Always black on the bottom? Yes as long as the top isn't burnt. I finished my beer, tossed the pizza out after taking a photo and headed home very disappointed. See attached photo. As I left, the younger kids working behind the counter were keeping up with customers, but fooling around. I guess I hit the place on a not so good night. $20 for a small pizza that went into the trash and a beer. I won't be returning. There's too many other good pizza places out there. I am so disappointed. My son picked this pizza place to have dinner tonight. My expectations were low (he thinks golden corral is the best place to get "fancy food"). My husband and son had stopped by here previously. Normally my husband would let me know if the food was good before we pull up but this hadn't happened. My expectations were low. I looked at their menu and that's when it started. I was not prepared to like the pizza this much. To be honest I am a little upset. Now I am going to have to come back over and over and tell my friend how delicious this pizza was. I was not prepared to get so emotionally attached to pizza toppings!! There is an abundance of different toppings & they're definitely not afraid of loading up your pizza (which is AMAZING). The toppings are fresh and high quality.
