After buying many many pizzas here because of the ability to get several individual build-your-own pizzas at what used to be a reasonable price, the prices have increased so much and the quality has dipped so low, it no longer makes sense to choose Blaze. Our last visit we got the $45 deal which includes 3 BYO pizzas and 2 side items (we added 2 salads). The side Caesar and chopped salads were so not fresh the lettuce was wilted and black from decay/mold on the leaves. It was truly gross and unappetizing to say the least. Both salads were inedible. Any superficial amount of quality control by a manager would have easily spotted the very obvious and disgusting rot no one wants old rotting salad even at a slight discount. But I don't necessarily place blame on the staff working there as they seem to be more and more understaffed. A few days later we ordered a large pizza from another nearby pizza place for $35 dollars that fed 5 people instead of 3. The pizza was far more fresh and enjoyable than any pizza we've had recently from BLAZE. Blaze customer service always follows up on online orders with a satisfaction survey so I responded with all the same information. They did respond with an apology but did nothing to make it right other than to say they would inform the staff. Too little too late. read more

The employees are pretty organized, there's one taking the order, another one is taking care of the toppings, one putting the dough into the oven, one at the register, and one person putting pizza into boxes. This is the second time I've been here and it has been a decent experience. There is ample parking in the back and a large seating area. They have an area where you can choose individual slices of pizza on display for about $4-$6 dollars. They re-heat the pizza slice in the oven which took about 5-10 minutes the second time around. I got the pepperoni and buffalo chicken but what I really wanted was the BBQ chicken which was really tasty the last time I had it but they ran out! These are generous slices and tasted decent! Nothing mind-blowing but for the ease and quickness of service and being fairly priced, it felt like it deserved a 4 star. I usually like Blaze Pizza and have been to several locations. This is one I feel is different from others. The service I have to say is pretty bad. When I walked in, there wasn't anyone in the store but 3 employees. All talking as I walked in. One was sweeping the floor, other came to take my order, then walked away saying the person sweeping would help me. Which she did after she finished sweeping. Then taking her time putting on her gloves. I was almost about to walk out. Then she comes. She puts very little toppings on my pizza and I'm one not to really like too much but she was being cheap. I was in the area and decided to treat myself to Blaze! As a first time customer, I knew the premise of the spot but didn't realize how extensive their sauce, cheese and toppings options are! Wow! I was in heaven haha It was around 2pm on Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. I let a guy go in front of me bc I was still deciding and wanted to see what he got hahaha after learning the ropes, I made my order with 1/2 garlic pesto, 1/2 spicy red, 3 types of cheese and various meat and veg - one being roasted broccoli yum!!!! The food is good but the service I received today from the lady cashiering was terrible. I ordered the deal they have going on 5 items for 35 dollars. As I am paying the cashier asked if I would like purchase drinks I said no thank you just 3 water cups before I could say anything else, she says these cups are only for water. Yes I know this and if I wanted a fountain drink I would have gladly paid for it. It was all in her approach. My son needed to use the restroom they stated that the door was locked from the inside and that they could not open it (weird) you would think you as a operating business you should state that the restroom is out of service. ~Pizza in the morning, pizza in the evening, pizza at supper time~ This was one of my favorite jangles growing up and definitely should be a throwback to all my millennials out there! But if you're reading this review, you probably agree that pizza is delicious any time of the day. Blaze is my go-to build your own pizza franchise for good reason. I'm probably one of few to get pizza without cheese or minimal cheese but that's how my stomach likes it - sans dairy. I opt for mushrooms instead of cheese to cover the pizza and never has a Blaze employee questioned my life choices. I appreciate that the majority of crust options are vegan and I have so many to choose from: thin, regular, high rise, keto, gluten-free, & cauliflower (even though I usually stick with the thin crust). I get to pile on the toppings of my choice and can create whatever pizza I'm in the mood for. Afterwards, they pop it in their oven and you get to watch your pizza creation transform into pure deliciousness. Right before I take my seat to crush my pizza, I ask them to top it off with some arugula and drizzle some pesto for the finishing touches. Service is reliable and consistent at this location. Depending on the amount of pizzas cooking in the oven, it can take a little bit of time but nothing unreasonable. I love that they have their own parking lot as well as street parking available. I came for the food, but am never coming back due to the poor attitude in service. I will be specific: it was the so-called manager (female, middle-aged, fake blond-streaked hair with glasses) who had all the attitude of a dump truck. After ordering & paying for my pizza, I asked for a cup for water, and she snipped, "Just a second!" (As if I was pressuring her. Of course, I'd give her a second. I was just letting her know what I needed.) When my pizza was ready, she didn't speak, just lifted her chin to indicate that the pizza was ready. Also, when asking for napkins, she snipped (again), "They're behind you." No indicating the direction. Napkin holders were NOT plentiful, or on every table; just 2 spots. She clearly did not care to be helpful to customers. The attitude on her (the other workers were fine) shows how miserable she is at the job and frankly, driving customers away from a store that otherwise offers good food. I have come to this blaze many times. Food wise, I like this blaze better than the others because they seem to make the pizzas better. The service here is horrible! As many people say the "manager" acting person (female with glasses and tattoos all over her right arm) is completely rude! I have seen her snap at customers and be rude to them many times. People come in and wait for 5 minutes before getting service. I have seen this lady put her finger up to customers and say "wait" in a rude manner. This ruins the ambiance and experience of the restaurant. This time, she was rude to me! I asked if my order was ready and she replied rudely, "you're not the only one waiting for your food". This was rude and completely unnecessary! There was only 2 other customers there. It wasn't like it was a busy time. The other customers heard her too and had a disgusted look at her response! Blaze is your typical "make your own" pizza chains where you can choose either a cheese, 1 topping, 2 topping, or all the toppings you want pizza. I used to be a "all the toppings you want" pizza girl until I discovered 2 was the magical number. The cheese to sauce to crust to topping ratio is PERFECT. There's a lovely crisp, the red sauce flavor comes through, and cheese (mozzarella) is ever so light and tasty. Top it off with that pesto!! Honestly, a game changer. 3.5 stars This pizza joint will definitely fulfill your fire-oven pizza cravings. This is my first time at this particular Blaze and really liked how clean the restaurant was. There were 2 downsides - the line and mask mandate. I was hoping for a quick meal, but instead, stood behind a deceptively short line only to realize every customer ahead of me wanted 3 pizzas each. And then there were 2 employees who didn't wear masks. I know not all companies will enforce mask-wearing anymore, but I believe it should be a part of the food and safety guidelines. Like, why wear hairnets and gloves whiling handling food, but not a mask? Anyways, my personal opinions aside, this Blaze will definitely cure any pizza cravings. Free parking beside the store is a huge bonus in Pasadena. Arrive when the restaurant opens to avoid getting crazy amounts of black ash all under your pizza. You can load on as many toppings and ingredients as you like. The fountain drinks with their assorted teas are always delicious. The employee who helped me was very nice. The ingredients looked pretty well stocked. The seating area was quite large and the parking lot was empty perhaps due to the time of day.
