I am going to start off by saying that I love Blaze Pizza and before this experience I would have thought that all locations were great. I would never think that a location could ever make me feel so disgusted to the point where I am not comfortable eating my food. This particular location has to be the most disgusting food establishment I have ever been to. I understand being busy or having a rush hour and having the place a little dirty due to the customer volume but I do not think this justifies how dirty this place was with a total of 8 employees working the front. Not to mention, it was not rush hour. The amount of toppings that were not only in the section where topping are placed but under the baking section, near the salads, near the register was enough to make me want to leave but I had already ordered by pizza. Toppings were mixed in with each other, sauces were mixed with each other, and there was even some sauce residue on the salads. Whoever is managing this place seriously needs to do a better job at it because these employees had no urgency to make this place cleaner for a better customer experience. Besides the cleanliness of this place, the employees all need to be retrained. They are all unmotivated, have no urgency, and just stand around until someone else takes over. We were waiting for someone to bring out more cheese for about 5 minutes until one of the workers realized it and went to the back to bring some over while everyone else just stood there waiting and watching. The person at the register mistakenly charged me wrong and I needed to go back to have it fixed when it clearly states exactly what I ordered on the paper. When I got my pizza back, half of the toppings were missing from it. It was no wonder why all the toppings were on the floor. The person baking the pizza's just throws them around without any care. People come here so they can have their choice of toppings on their pizza. There is no reason for them to be up on the floor. UPDATE: I came back to this location as I had a reward on the blaze app and it is the closest location to me. The service today was a COMPLETE 360 compared to last time. Everyone was busy, there was a line but they were knocking it out getting people though efficiently. I saw workers wiping down tables as people left. As they made my pizza they asked me several time "how does that look?" and I heard them ask other guests the same which was courteous. MUCH better than before and I will definitely be returning! The employees seem to have no urgency or motivation. Felt like I was watching people in slow motion. Everyone was talking their sweet time very slow seemed like they didn't give a crap. Like 8 employees just standing around. I was really confused with what was going on. I could see the faces of the other customers and was pretty sure they were all thinking the same thing as me. What I ate: My sister and I ordered 2 signature pizzas--the red vine and bbq chicken. The red vine pizza is basically margarita pizza except they use cherry tomatoes instead of tomato slices. For $8.95, I suppose it might be too much work to slice tomato slices for a pizza? Also they sprinkled very little basil on my pizza. But the red vine pizza still tasted really good and had good sauce isn't overpowering like most tomato sauces. The bbq chicken pizza was ok overall. Probably should've just made/customized our own pizza and replace Parmesan with mozzarella cheese. Atmosphere: we ordered to-go so we didn't stay for a long time. There were a handful of people enjoying pizza but there is a lot of construction going on outside. Service: Service was pretty fast and there were no mess ups with our order so pretty ok. Parking: big parking lot outside but there's so much foot traffic b/c of people going to Whole Foods or other businesses. So parking is relatively easy but you may not find a spot super close right away. Overall: Delicious crust, and good flavors. Ok, after our 2nd visit in less than a week, we think we figured out what makes this pizza so good- it's crispy and delicious and filling, without being greasy and making you feel heavy and gross. TRUTH- the pizza isn't greasy and oily, and a whole pizza is the perfect portion size for a dude (it fills hubby up!). Totally made the mistake of eating the whole pizza by myself. Like Chipotle and Subway, you go down this line, first ordering the type of dough, then the toppings for the pizza. There are signature creations, or you can go with the fully customizable. You can add additional toppings to the signatures since they are the same price. You can also get a regular plain simple pie for just $5. First time at this location. I went for the Green Stripe, which has no sauce, but drizzled with some tasty pesto. Comes with chicken, but I also added some bacon, along with caramelized onion and some roasted garlic for that extra garlic flavor. It was one loaded pizza in the end, especially with arugula on top! Great quality for the toppings. I think next time I'll order it online before going or figure out a better time to go. I ended up waiting over 20+ minutes in line, then another 10+ minutes for the food. I think if you order online, the wait is about 45 minutes. The pizza can really be shared with two people. Came back to blaze pizza on 10/24/2019. This was a terrible dinner suggestion. I was excited to get the cauliflower pizza because I've had it at another eatery and enjoyed it. They had PLENTY of workers but no one actually working to help the customers. I'm going to safely assume out of the 6 to 8 employees that were there only ONE is allowed to cook the pizza, ring up the customers, and serve the pizzas. The first strike was they were out of pineapples. I wanted to and should have walked out then. The second strike was at least 6 pizzas (3 brunt) were just sitting on the rack waiting to be served by the ONE employee. As we waited for our food I began to watch the poor girl try to multi-task and run the crew. Needless to say she was completely overwhelmed and had a terrible attitude. Pounding the brunt part off of pizzas, burning more pizzas, delighting and calling out orders. FINALLY, here comes my pineappleless cauliflower pizza burnt to a crisp. Also, one of the cheeses were mislabeled. I rarely have a hankering for pizza...but Blaze is the spot! I went in around 8pm on a Wed. and it was pretty much quiet and only a few people eating inside. I was promptly greeted and asked what I'd like. I had already checked out their online menu and had pretty much already decided I wanted the Meat Eater's before I even arrived. All of the ingredients and toppings were set out so you could pick and choose what you wanted on your pie. The guys behind the counter were friendly and assembled my Meat Eater's and pepperoni quickly. Another guy, (I'm guessing he's the owner?) asked if I wanted to try a salad. I looked and they all looked good so I chose a spring greens salad with mozzarella and tomatoes and a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I was rung up and the owner(?) said the salad was on the house!! Cool! I sat down and waited for my name to be called, about 5 minutes and took them to go. The crust was thin and crispy...I love thin crust pizza! I finished eating one slice and about 2 bites into my second slice, there was something hard. It was a piece of possibly plastic wrap or a piece of a plastic bag. It wasn't a big deal, and I'm just glad it wasn't a hair or nail lol. It almost never happens, and mistakes happen, I just hope that it doesn't happen again. All in all, yummy food, and good service! If I can give this place more than five stars, I would! So my friend, bf and I cruised in on a Thursday around 1pm and it was pretty steady. They have a menu that has their creations and of course you can build your own. The creations that they have start at around $8.00 for a personal pizza. Not a bad price...BUT...once you start customizing...be prepared to pay for it. The bill was like $30.00 for three drinks and two pizzas. A little pricey in my opinion. The pizza was good. But with so many pizza places around it's hard to do something that really stands out. My girls (10 & 8) have been pushing me to try this place. Glad we did, the thin crust pizza, only choice, was quick and good. We went with two house suggested pizza pies, cheese, and the BBQ chicken. From the time you place your order, until the time the pies are ready is between 5-8 minutes, my girls were very impressed. The great thing about this place is that you can custom design your pizza with a variety of toppings. One pizza is a hearty meal for any individual, my girls and I split two pies and still had some to take home. They also serve a little variety of beers in the bottle, and have an assortment of soda drinks for the kids. This eating experience can be done in 20 minutes if you are in a rush. This place has the same concept as PizzaRev and Pieology just to name a few. If you have never been here, it's like Chipotle for pizza. In my humble opinion, these three companies all tastes similar. Unlike the pizza served from big chain companies, Blaze Pizza tastes a bit on the lighter side. If you are keeping track of calories this place would be the place to go for pizza. I guess the only thing that separates them is the inside decor and the customer service. One thing to note is that the employees have to lighten up. The vibe I get from this place is that the workers wanted to throw the pizza at my face. They don't enjoy their jobs and it really shows. I understand that it can get kind of hectic in here but they need to stay more organized. I had two orders and they were both messed up. I had to wait 10 minutes for the second pizza to come out when it was just sitting there in plain site. When I bit into the pizza it had already cooled down (so much for the fast fire'd pizza). So today was my first time trying Blaze, and I decided to get one of their signature pizzas + some personal toppings. ($8) TIP: If you get the signature pizza, you probably don't need to get any other toppings to "up" the flavor. The signature pizza has ENOUGH flavor in itself. So this pizza includes: Mozzarella, chicken, red peppers, garlic, pesto drizzle arugula. I added banana peppers, sea salt, oregano, and extra pesto. Um, the extra toppings were VERY UNNECESSARY. My pizza was wayyy too salty, and I've been drinking cups and cups of water ever since I finished it. I know that it's a hard time right now with COVID but this location really needs to step it up. They were working on online orders and I understand that they need to do those in addition to walk ins but we stood there for 20 minutes before they even started to work on our order. They were a less generous with the ingredients for the build your own pizza than other locations but still decent portions. The place was kind of messy and the workers seemed a bit disorganized. There was a customer who seemed to have called in their order ahead of time and they came in to get their order. They got a part of their order and were waiting on their garlic knots. The person in charge of the oven said that they would need some time and the lady was not happy. So the guy told her that he will put it closer to the fire and make it cook faster. Few minutes later he took it out and put it on the cooling rack (looked burnt). The lady reached behind the counter and was touching it and poking at it to see if it was ready. He saw her touching and poking at the garlic knots (that were right next to and on top of other pizzas) and didn't say a word. And it wasn't just a quick poke, she was literally trying to pry them open to see the inside of the bread and see if it was fully cooked all the way through. I think all the other customers were kind of shocked too, especially with COVID right now, we were all looking at each other in disbelief. The person in charge of the oven also took out some pizzas with the black mat still under it and put it on top of pizzas that were already on the cooling rack. I feel bad for whoever's pizzas those were. I don't understand why he didn't box the other pizzas before taking out the ones from the fire. Very disorganized and unsanitary. We spent about a total of 50min-1hr in the store and for what they claim is a "fast food pizza joint", that's kind of ridiculous. Went in here for lunch and there were about six people running around not knowing who's doing what. The person making my pizza started adding cheese without asking me first and I had to interrupt her and tell her no cheese. While adding topping she was moving extremely slow. Seemed like she was intoxicated. Worst part out there was only a couple of people ordering but it still took over 30 minutes to get my goods because they focused mainly on online orders. Food is ok. Love going for a pizza at Blaze, where with the build-your-own option, there's something to satisfy everyone. The choices are extensive, and I especially like that they offer roasted garlic, arugula, and artichokes. It's super reasonable at $8.95, and a pizza is way more than enough for one person (generally I'll share or else go home with leftovers). The service is fast, and I like that they also offer half boxes for leftovers as then you're not left schlepping an unnecessarily large box. My only complaint is that I wish the tables and restaurant in general were bussed more. Although there is a high turnover of customers, I do feel that the tables are always dirty and in need of a good clean, and I wish they would pay more attention to that. Long line went by super fast! Service was quick & efficient. I always do the build your own pizza. I add regular red sauce, mozzarella, and a bunch of my favorite vegetables. Great way to enjoy some pizza with minimal carbs and lots of veggies & fiber! Very delicious. read more
