I thought it charming that everyone was asking if the other had tried it yet. No one had. So here goes, the new # 64 Portobello Swiss is like a hot cheese steak minus the meat. It's a good veggie choice and I almost didn't finish it because it was packed with mushrooms, onions and peppers. A regular is $11.95. I got the Regular Club Sandwich on White bread for my daughter and for me I decided to try something different and I got a Regular Portabella Cheesesteak Sandwich on White bread. I wasn't prepared for how delicious this cheesesteak would be let me tell ya! The steak was seasoned perfectly and came with all the fixings including cheese, portabella mushrooms, red and green pepper strips and onions. Ive never been on Yelp before but after last night that changed, I came in during the evening and the staff there was extremely friendly and communicative toward each other and the customers along with myself, they were working on a large order and still keeping up with all the customers coming in for dinner! They had helped every single person in there out and the atmosphere was something the staff should be proud of, any loving person will notice! It was two young men with tattoos on their arms, as well as two girls who were also just as excellent! Kudos to yall! I come to Jersery Mike's very often, it's so disappointing to see things like this. I got two subs totaling to over 25$ , it's 7 pm and there are two customers why does it look so bad ? I have seen slicers look like this when it is busy but when the store is almost empty ? Then when they're making my sub there is no sense of how to put the toppings or juice on from the employees ? I had to ask them to put extra juice and spices twice because it didn't look right, even my sub was just not meeting that standard of every bite taste the same. I don't know where to start off but here I go. About a month ago, my mother was in the hospital and I came to pick up some food for my kids and I. They wanted jersey mikes so I came in. I had been crying all day and my eyes were so swollen. All the staff welcomed me in which is a surprise nowadays. The gentleman who sliced my sandwich, who I just ran into again, Matthew. Noticed and asked if I was okay. I told him about how horrible my day was and he just stood there and listened. He was so sweet. He asked If I was religious and if he could say a prayer for my mother and I. He and his co worker Isabella held my hand and prayed with me. He said the most beautiful prayer I just couldn't hold back my tears. He said it with so much love and passion. I have never in my life ever been treated with so much empathy in any restaurant or business. He didn't just see me as another customer, and I just want to say thank you to both you and Isabella! I've been to a couple of other Jersey Mike's and my general impression is that they are a step up in quality and atmosphere compared to Subway. When ordering a sandwich they suggest that you just need to start with the sandwich number (e.g., #8 for a Club Sub, the size (regular or large), and bread (white or wheat). You can select your additional toppings or just ask for "Mike's Way" which is a quick way to get some of the popular toppings which will include onions, tomatoes, lettuce, red wine vinegar, and oil. I like to add some pepperoncini, or jalapeño, slices to spice up the sandwich a bit. Meats and cheese are freshly sliced and the sandwich comes off as completely fresh. The Club Sub was a more traditional sub, with turkey, ham, provolone cheese, bacon, and mayo, as well as the Mike's Way toppings. The portion size of all the contents was quite generous. The vinegar and oil dressing nicely complements the sandwich. A very good sandwich. Towards the end of lunch hour this place was relatively busy but wait times were minimal. A Jersey Mike's tradition is that when someone leaves a tip they ring a small bell signaling to everyone that a tip has been given. Not really great, or bad, just different. read more

I am giving up on Jersey Mike's. I went to this store tonight because they are usually better than the other two stores in my area. My family and I were disappointed. The bread was hard. This is the problem with the other two stores. What makes a sandwich good is the good bread. Bread should be fresh and soft. Not only that but the whole top of the lettuce tray was brown. I told the employees this and asked for for fresher lettuce. I was told that they had a power outage earlier. I told them well they should have thrown all of it out. They dug down to the bottom and it was greener at the bottom. I understand you don't want a lot of waste, but if you have a power outage if it wasn't put back into the refrigerator after a power outage or even if it was if it got brown, at least throw all that part away no one wants brown lettuce on their sandwich. I have to say I loved Jersey Mike's, but this is the third time I have been very disappointed in the sandwiches. There is a place where they keep sandwiches that should stay closed up so that they're covered, but they're not closed up and this is what makes them get a hard. I hope that there are changes made, but I will not be back to see them. read more

This is my "Go To" Place for Sandwiches....Juanita, Jamison & the Team here from Torrance Crenshaw always provide me great service with a smile. I usually come here once per week for my favorites which are the #9 or the #56 steak & cheese with generous portions always made right which I got earlier today for lunch. I have never had an issue here, so I find it hard to understand some of the not so favorable reviews here. After all it's "fast food" I guess some folks are very hard to please. Make sure to try their fresh baked cookies if you get the chance. They also have a Jersey Mike's Club which enables you to accumulate points toward free sandwiches or other menu items. Keep up the GREAT service you provide me & others on a consistent basis. I'm glad I finally got to writing this FIVE STAR review which was long overdue. I love coming to jersey mikes, my kids and family love the special mikes way flavor! This location is the cleanest in my opinion, the others are good too but this one is always spotless. The workers here are always so nice and friendly! I especially love the little Asian girl that works here( didn't get her name) but she is so cute and sweet and always has a positive attitude! Fairly new location. Very nice and clean. Staff is quick and responsive. You'll find that to be the theme from any of the Jersey Mike's. It's a little more expensive than others (a regular sub is in the $8 range), but the sandwiches are way better. The menu isn't huge and even your choice of toppings is more limited, but what they do have is just right. Don't be caught off guard when you get to the person adding toppings and they ask if you want it "Mike's Way". That just means, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, some wonderful vinegar, etc... For a sub shop with young people manning the store this place is wonderful. It has actually restored my belief in our younger generation because everyone that works at this store is so courteous . I've been to many restaurants with very young staff and some of them are snotty and seem as if they are just going through the motions. Not at Jersey Mike's.
