One of those... always here but never tried making a review for the heck of it. I'm choosing to put a review because every visit here has been nothing but great. One day in particular, I received service out of their way & asked for my order while the cashier was busy with the order in front of me. I wished I grabbed the name of the girl who instantly went up to me, grabbed my order, & made my drinks before I paid (I waited not too long after for my drinks). You do not see that kind of gesture just anywhere. The fact that she was sweet enough to ask in advance made my "15 min only" parking up front, fast. I witnessed a customer unsatisfied with how they blend her drink so she was VERY specific with how to add more water & servings of açaí. She actually asked to see the blender & poured her own water in their blender. Seriously?! But as for their customer service, I give the gentleman props for doing what the customer asked for without hesitation. I just felt bad for the workers because this customer wanted more than what was on the menu. Basically made her own blenders. As for blenders itself, I choose blenders over any local juice/smoothie location than anywhere (in Ventura County specifically). I choose the quality of their nutritious drinks & when they ask to add a supplement, do it! It's free! I go for either the energy or additional protein when I'm out of some, especially after/during a long day at work. Did you know they also have a "secret menu?" Whenever I order one of their drinks on the menu, I'm always adding some type of fruit, but if you want their secrets, their menu isn't so "secret" online & some are from their monthly specials! read more

The service was slow and very disorganized. The smoothie was watery and bland.

This used to be my favorite blenders, but after an incident recently I don't think I would go back. I didn't think it was fair or right that they made me feel dumb. When I tried ordering something from the secret menu I had let them know I've gotten this before here and that they simply just pull out a card or paper that has a bunch of secret menu drinks because it's not a drink. I've made myself it's one that's already put together. They told me well if you know how to make it, then we could do it but if you don't, then we can't . I didn't think that was fair like it's some thing I always get and it just made me feel embarrassed that this cashier put me on the spot and told me what he said, and made me feel as if I was stupid. I was not rude. I just simply said you guys have a piece of paper that says a bunch of drinks on it. I don't know what exactly is put inside, but I just know it's called blue, jolly rancher. He was being incompetent and said we can't make it, so I just left. I understand making a lot of smoothies. Could be frustrating after a while, but I did not be difficult at all. I understand maybe that person was not having a good day and I was just another person added onto their frustration but I didn't become difficult or try to make a problem out of it. I love Blenders, but I'd like to comment that this is definitely my least favorite Blenders location. I'd rather go to the Victoria/Wooley location, or the one by the Ventura mall instead of this one. Employees at this location (Gonzales) are not very friendly. I don't think my name is "weird" or "hard to spell", so I'm not sure why register workers always misspell it or make little remarks as I pay? Also, I'm pretty sure its standard to call out the customers name when their order is ready, and not leave it in the counter top just so employees can either get defensive when customers ask which order is theirs, or even worse, forget which order belongs to whom. Plenty of room for improvement at this Blenders location. read more

A little sweet for me, but delicious and affordable enough for me to come twice in one day. My first time I got one of the berry smoothies and the second time I got the kale smoothie. My boyfriend also got a tropical pineapple smoothie which actually ended up being my favorite- refreshing with the right amount of tartness. The service is pretty quick despite multiple guests being before us, so that's another plus. I love that they include one free supplement and that any other added supplements are only $0.50 ! Simply awesome, very healthy alternative to Jamba juice and I wish I had heard about the blenders before. Having moved to Oxnard has definitely been a good decision and I love how there is Urbane Cafe right next door. Getting lunch from there and having a smoothie afterwards is superb and i recommend it to everyone. The prices are relatively same in comparison with Jamba Juice and the employees are always friendly. Having been to 2 locations (oxnard and Camarillo) I recommend both of them. I live in the Bay Area. Always go to Blenders when I'm in town visiting family. Love their smoothies. Way better than Jamba Juice. Today was disappointing. Just ordered a peanut butter chocolate with probiotic. The probiotic was not fully blended into the smoothie. I could taste and feel the texture. I love Blenders for their smoothies much more than Jamba Juice. First off , the quality and taste of their smoothies are on point. I prefer Blender's menu over Jamba Juice especially since they offer green tea smoothies. Their green tea smoothie (soy milk , matcha green tea , ice milk) is probably my favorite here ! I remember Jamba Juice had matcha green tea smoothies but it did not taste as good as Blender's. I also like the peach (peach juice , peaches , banana , non-fat frozen yogurt , orange sherbet) or classic strawberry (apple juice , strawberry , banana , non-fat frozen yogurt) smoothies when I'm craving something fruity. You can always customize your smoothie as well. I also really like how they blend their smoothies since it's not icy at all like Jamba Juice. They offer two sizes - small and regular. Keep in mind their small (12 oz) is really really small. Might as well upgrade to the regular (24 oz) for 1.50$ more. Never had a problem with customer service. It's great that they have multiple locations in Ventura County. This one is conveniently located right off the Rose Ave. exit on 101 freeway. read more

Hi, I'm Faith and I am a Blender's addict. But really though, the first time I tried Blenders was in Santa Barbara and I was immediately hooked. When I moved to Oxnard I was ecstatic to find out Blenders was less than 10 min away. I feel like all the locations have a similar feel... you get your delicious smoothie and you get out. No chit chat and no place to hang out which I totally understand. I just need to tell you my order and you make me a delicious Tropical Guava (without the sherbet) OR a Power Greens and I'll be out the door! Pros: -You can literally change anything in the drink for no cost (change bananas to strawberries, or sherbet to frozen yogurt) -One "boost" or whatever is FREE -2 sizes only. Smaller is 12 ounces (usually $4), and the larger is 24 ounces (and usually only $5!!!) -Trick: ask for the original $5 dollar 24 ounce cup and split it into two 12 ounces. Then go home and freeze one of them for later! They are just as good frozen. And honestly, can you always finish all 24 ounces in one sitting? Cons: -Not really anywhere to sit and hang out with friends if you wanted to -Not a lot of parking in this shopping plaza read more

I love blenders but I was outraged by what I saw. This dude was cleaning the counter with a rag along with bucket of disinfectant. The problem with it was the rag looked filthy and so did the solution. Hes wearing gloves while doing it. Before that he was making drinks. Shortly after using that dirty rag and dirty cleaning solution the dude did not switch out his gloves and continued to make drinks. I called him out on it. He's response: "it doesn't matter as long as I'm not touching anything with my hands". Like really? I have to give this blenders in Oxnard a five star because of the staff. Went there twice as I had a family member at the hospital across the street. The employees were kind, helpful, and so welcoming that I was very impressed. Bought a green smoothie for ailing family member and an açaí bowl and Pitaya bowl. All were amazing. Now as a comparison I went to another Blenders in the Grass in Camarillo and had a starkly different experience. The one young female cashier there notably looked down upon a couple of young men who came in to buy something. They were wearing the traditional India headwear and I noticed the staff reaction giving sideways grins. I would probably give this Camarillo shop a three star. read more
