I tried Bleu Bear on a Saturday night. The inside has a very inviting vibe. After sitting at the bar, I was greeted by the most lively people. I didn't know what to expect from a suburban sushi spot in Bedford. After one night I can say without a doubt that Bleu Bear has the best sushi! Every single thing I tasted was delicious. I can't single out one item. The Salmon Napple is so refreshing and something you'll want to have every visit. I tried the hamachi lover specialty roll, fantastic! The matcha tiramisu is so creative and smooth. The omakase...hands down sets the standard of omakase in DFW! Every time I tried the nigiri I thought, "Aw, I need another." It was that delicious! There are plenty of restaurants labeling their meat as wagyu. The final piece in recommended order of the omakase is the wagyu nigiri, and I'm still thinking about it today. Such a fantastic gem of a spot. Sushi quality is outta this world. The chef and his team nail every bite. I don't think I've dipped a bite. They just put so much flavor in it on its own or it's dressed simply to highlight the sushi itself, like when we get their Japanese Uni or when you get unagi with apricot jam. It needs nothing else. And when you get a5 wagyu with foie gras, what else would you even want? I cannot recommend the salmon and apple appetizer enough either. These are addicting. The crisp apple paired with the thin slice of salmon wrapped around it so delicately, with the special blend of topping sauce drizzled over it is so light and refreshing but has this wonderful umami flavor fresh... I swear I could eat a hundred of them and still go back for seconds. Their staff is also for warm and welcoming, every time we come in we feel like family. We asked for the gift cards from here for Christmas and birthdays even! I know all this probably seemed over the top but really, if you are sitting there wondering if this little place on the corner of that shopping center where a bunch of things are (at the time of this writing) out of business is really worth your time and money, you REALLY should give it a try. read more

This was our first time at Bleu Bear Sushi, and it was absolutely incredible! Don't let the area fool you, this place is amazing, Every dish was beautifully crafted and full of flavor, truly melting in our mouths. We started with the calamari, which was perfectly crispy and tender. The hamachi kama was rich and buttery seasoned so well, and the chu toro with micro greens was fresh and delicate and i love that they fried the micro greens so it was crispy. The hotate uni and ikura combination was heavenly, and the seared ootoro was melt-in-your-mouth perfect too. The seared sake toro with yuzu sauce had the perfect citrusy kick, while the salmon & apple pairing was surprisingly refreshing and savory the truffle oil was AMAZING TOO. As salmon lovers, we couldn't have been happier with the variety and quality! Just when we thought we were done, we had to try dessert and the green tea tiramisu was the perfect ending. The matcha used was clearly high quality, giving it an amazing depth of flavor. On top of all that, the service was excellent, and we made it just in time for happy hour (4:30-7 PM). I heard about Bleu Bear opening about a year ago and made a mental note to check it out, well here we are a year later and we finally got a chance to try it out. First off, do not let the strip mall, suburban location fool you- this is the real deal. They do not use imitation crab meat either. I got their Valentine's Day special menu which included a yuzu cocktail, which I found delicious, I love yuzu. COTUIT Oyster shooter was perfection, crudo was fantastic, the special nigiri was so good as well. I really can't say enough good things to be honest. The way they balanced the flavors of fresh and savory and sweet with all their various offerings was just really impressive. Lamb chops? Omg forget about it. So tasty. As was the sous vide prime NY strip. We got a couple of rolls that were really tasty as well. All in all a 5 out of 5 experience. The matcha tiramisu was balanced perfectly as well with the strong green tea taste and sweetness. Service was amazing as well. We tried this sushi spot based on a friend's recommendation, and it didn't disappoint. Even though it wasn't busy, we chose to sit outside and the weather was perfect, which made the whole experience even better. From the moment we arrived until we left, the host Frank was amazing -- super kind, funny, and welcoming. His energy really set the tone for the evening. Our server was very efficient: she came, took our orders, and let us enjoy our time without hovering. It almost felt like she was a ghost -- in a good way -- always there when needed, but never intrusive. The lychee martinis were delicious, and the food was spot on. We ordered the sweet potato mochi (a great vegetarian option), the nigiri platter, and everything was fresh and flavorful. We already know we'll be back soon to try the salmon apple and truffle roll (which we've heard is a must) along with a few other dishes. I saw people posting about it on Facebook and had to try it. My new favorite sushi in the mid-cities. MK is my preferred spot for girl's night or family night. But Bleu Bear is where I like to go for SUSHI. The Hamachi Lover roll is my favorite. My husband loves the fried fish collar. When I saw it's dry little fins sticking out from the plate the waitress brought it on (along with hot rocks keeping it warm), I knew he'd be in heaven. Next best thing to home. They have a mint strawberry soju drink I like. Skip the calamari. It wasn't crispy. We prefer calamari that are "parts" with curled up legs and stuff-- here they're more uniform/sticks. Haven't tried bringing the kids yet, but I've seen them dine here. It's a nice little upscale place I go to with my husband. Service has been good both times, too. read more

Bleu Bear Sushi is a very welcome addition to this area of the mid-cities! We stopped by for lunch after an event at my kiddo's school, and I very much vote for coming at lunch. They have some lunch specials that are wonderfully priced for the amount of food that you get! Each option comes with a teriyaki chicken, beef, salmon, or tofu with rice. As well Miso soup, a small veggie tempura, and a salad. My husband enjoyed the beef option, and the kids split the chicken option with some avocado & cucumber sushi that we ordered for them. I tried an avocado/sweet potato sushi option off of the regular menu. I was a little unsure about the pricing, but I got so much sushi with the price point that it was worth it! I appreciate them having a few extra vegetarian sushi options on their menu when compared to other sushi places in the immediate area! Wow -- double wow. Everything we had was amazing. I have always loved sushi and managed to convince my boyfriend to come here with me for lunch on a Saturday, even though he doesn't eat sushi -- he got the chicken teriyaki bowl and he was impressed...said the teriyaki sauce wasn't sugary-sweet like most places. Said the miso soup was better than most places. We had the sweet potato fries for an appetizer, and they were cooked perfectly, with two dipping sauces (I really liked both). Presentation on everything was beautiful and artistic. I splurged for a mixed drink and it was made very well and also not overly sweet. The salmon-apple dish and the fatty tuna was DIVINE. Loved the addition of microgreens to some of the dishes ; every component of each dish was very high-quality and fresh. I ordered the Snow Shite Maki for my main, upon recommendation from our server, Franklin -- he was awesome about answering questions and making recommendations, and was attentive and super kind. Atmosphere was good, too -- relaxing, super clean, furnishings are nice, lighting good... there were 7 or 8 other couples/small parties of people there, but the noise level never got out of control. The ambient music is not too loud and the TVs are on silent with captioning, so it was easy to have a conversation without having to shout at each other. The patio area seems cute and nice for the fall weather, so maybe we'll try eating outside next time (but, it's right next to a parking lot and street, so depends on what kind of chaos may-or-may-not be going on out in the lot, while you're eating, I suppose?). I've been a sushi-lover for a long time now, and will be recommending Bleu Bear to anyone who will listen to me rave about how good the food is! Definitely a place worth sharing. read more

On Thursday November 13. 2025 I made a reservation for eight at Bleu Bear Sushi. When we arrived the table was set up properly, the staff was courteous and the meal met our expeditions. The problem occurred with our waiter at closeout. 1- There was a miscalcution on the bill where i was charged for an item another guest ordered. While mistakes are made the waiter did not apologize nor offer to adjust the bill. He suggested that because another guest ordered multiple hors d" oeuvres that I should pay for his mistake. Rather than embarrass myself and my companions I did this. Is it really up to "any waiter" to suggest that their customer absorb their mistake? 2-There were two bills remaining to be paid by credit card. The waiter made a another mistake by returning my credit card to another guest with their higher bill. We straightened out this waiter"s second mistake. 3-The next day I validated my pending credit card invoice, It did reflect the correct amount. When the actual charged cleared my account there was an uncharge for something i could not identify. The amount was not material and I don't know if the restaurant or the waiter made the adjustment. I hope my experience as stated above is helpful to future guest. read more

We hadn't been to Dream Taco for a while, apparently, and thank goodness we changed course and gave Bleu Bear a shot. To start, the chef sent out a very tasty piece is spicy sashimi. My wife doesn't do raw, so I got to enjoy it all. Thanks sweetheart. I'd never had Takoyaki, so we got an order. It had a great texture, awesome flavor, and the dried Bonita flakes & Japanese mayo set the dish apart. I will be enjoying it again. The Tempura roll was plentiful, had great flavor, and the rice was very nice. My Chriachi bowl was excellent. I'd never had my fish all the same dice but it was good. The flavor that elevated the dish was the sweet salmon roe that was dispersed throughout the bowl. And the rice was very flavorful.
