We've been to this location multiple times, the quality of the sushi, the food, everything we've ordered has always been on point. But I got a to go order tonight, and something has definitely changed. The grilled baby octopus was super tough and couldn't even be finished, the nigiri I ordered was OK but definitely not up to par with what we've had in the past, even the Wagyu was tough and stringy. Super disappointing for a sushi place we've come to count on in our local area as being top-notch. It definitely did not meet that expectation tonight.

Bleu Bear Sushi Omakase for lunch today was chef's kiss. Fresh, flavorful, and the service was amazing. And yes... it's way better than Nikko's or Hush. No comparison.

Came here for the omakase but it's only available on weekends... got the nigiri set instead and it was very underwhelming :( I'll definitely have to come back for the omakase again to give them another shot!

Always so good, fresh, clean and nice staff! Lunch specials are always a great choice.

Always such a wonderful experience here. For being local and off the cuff, it has created a hub for sushi lovers and is top notch. Very fresh, very flavorful, and such a delightful experience overall. Love coming here and will again and again.

We ordered the omakase, the salmon napple, and hamachi with yuzu. The staff was attentive and the food came out quickly. The salmon was nice, but we were a bit disappointed in the quality of the rest of the fish. The omakase felt heavy handed with toppers to try to hide the fish. It wasn't "bad" it just wasn't great or memorable. At that price point, there are definitely better venues to explore.

This was fantastic! I felt like I was in Tokyo at a gourmet, exclusive, authentic sushi restaurant. The presentation was off the charts and the flavors were some we'd never experienced before. The prices were higher than our typical spots but the value and experience were commensurate.

My go to sushi spot! I've been a total of 3 times so far and every time, everything has been more than amazing. The nigiri is so fresh and I love it because they can do anything "seared". The fatty salmon MELTS in your mouth. And they don't use ANY imitation crab, so all of their dishes that has crab has real crab. The wagyu maki lover is amazing-- it is perfect for someone who is just getting into sushi. The crunch and the flavor mixes so well together.

This place was Amazing! We were seated promptly and a waiter greeted us immediately. They work as a team, so we were tended to by several servers during our dinner. Our server knew the menu well and guided us to order the Salmon and Apple to start with. He said if we love salmon sashimi, we will really like this. He was right!! I had a Cosmopolitan and my husband had hot sake. We also tried the Miso soup and house salad. The house salad had thier house dressing which is not a typical ginger dressing but I loved it all the same. We shared The Baked Snow Crab Maki and the Lobster Maki. Both were delicious! It's in a quiet location on a Saturday night. Inside it was easy to have conversations and very clean. The prices were quite reasonable too. Will definitely go back!!

My favorite was the special nigiri hamachi yuzu - very flavorful, perfectly balanced, good mouthful. I would come back just to get this special hamachi yuzu (but for $8/piece, it would be a special occasion). The other sushi lacked punchy flavor, and the lean tuna, medium fatty tuna, fatty salmon, and regular salmon all tasted nearly identical to me. The wagyu lover rolls were extra chewy because of the asparagus and not worth paying wagyu prices in my opinion, but still tasty. The texture was spot on perfect, though. On the higher end for sushi prices, but very consistently amazing textures, even though most of the fish was bland.

Best sushi in the Mid-Cities! I've been here enough times to try a little bit of everything, and I've never been disappointed. Every bite has me saying, "Yum, yum, yum!" The staff is amazing, too. They make you feel welcome and will often remember you after just one visit. It's a cute little restaurant with a chill, relaxing atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying a great meal. Highly recommended! The patio is cute but it's too hot right now

First time trying Bleu Bear Sushi and it was actually pretty good! The nigori was alright, but I really liked their rolls especially the Wagyu Lover Roll, definitely my fave and it's even part of their happy hour . It's a small spot but super cute for Bedford. I'd come back to try more rolls for sure

It's been awhile since I've ordered online and I didn't know Salata had an online order pickup area now. So I go in and sit at a nearby booth expecting the currently-empty pickup area to have my order put in it shortly. It was lunch rush, and they were hopping, so I expected a bit of a wait. After my 13 minute pickup window comes and goes, I decide to stand near the shelves looking purposeful in case I can get someone's attention. When I do so, an employee calls out asking if I have a pickup. Turns out my order had been waiting at the register end of their very long assembly line for who knows how long. How was I supposed to know? Why have an online order area if you're not going to use it? It felt like I had to a regular to know this magical info. It tasted like it was made yesterday and was very over cooked. Either that or it was smoked salmon. I called and the person that answered just handed the phone to the manager mid sentence and she proceeded to tell me that they do not put out dry or over cooked salmon and that it was the glaze I was seeing. She said this several times. I explained that I've cooked salmon many, many times and would never serve over cooked and potentially say old salmon to a customer. Now I get why the salmon was buried under the salad greens and not sitting on top. Anyway, the manager did not handle the call very well in my opinion and seems to think that the food was likely perfect, because it's the pomegranate glaze that turns it brown. Haha. So, I've included pics so you can see it. It smells slightly fishy and is hard to the touch. The brown outside is that glaze that she thinks I was concerned with even though, I never mentioned color. I also have a video. Not sure I would go here again, or maybe I need to try another location next time. I have a video of me hitting the salmon with a fork and it sounds like I'm hitting a piece of wood. Also, Please train your managers better on how to professionally handle customer concerns.

I loved how the restaurant itself felt bright and refreshing and did not have an overwhelming amount of decor. It was very relaxed yet elegant at the same time. Our server let us know the owner, who is also the chef, goes out to buy products at the market and chooses the best quality for items to be prepared. This does contribute to prices being a little higher than expected for what the dishes are- but that's to be expected with the uniqueness and tasty ingredients!! I'd say the burgers are going to be your best bet for the amount of food you get for the price you pay. Our food came out at the perfect temperature and the margaritas we got were amazing! We went on taco Thursday and got two steak tacos for $20 and the margaritas were $10 each! I'd say my one critique would be that I wish there were an option to add à la carte items as an extra taco would've been much more filling! Unfortunately, the tacos are pre portioned and an extra taco could not be charged. You can expect to spend about $30 per person (without appetizers).
