We had our first opportunity to try the newest sushi sensation in DFW and wow did it deliver! The restaurant is beautiful and the staff are amazing. We tried several items including the spicy garlic edamame, the crunchy salmon roll, and various individual sushi pieces. Everything was off the charts fresh and flavorful. This has to be one of my favorite omakase sushi spots in all of DFW!!! I was blown away by the quality and each nigiri had its own unique flavor bursts in each bite. So delicious! While in Arlington, TX for the MLB All-Star Week, I discovered BBS, a charming woman-owned sushi restaurant nestled in Bedford, Texas. I popped in around 7 PM, and I was delighted to find it wasn't too crowded, which allowed me to fully enjoy the personal attention from both the owner and the skilled sushi chef. Now, let's talk about the culinary experience. The Omakase menu was nothing short of spectacular, providing exceptional value for the price. The chef prepared a delightful assortment that included my personal favorites like buttery Toro, succulent live shrimp paired with crispy fried shrimp heads, and exquisite real snow crab sushi. I couldn't resist ordering uni and more Toro, both of which were heavenly and left me craving more. Every bite was a burst of flavor, making it hard to resist asking for seconds and even thirds. As a devoted fan of sushi bars, I usually prefer sitting at full tables on special occasions (and sometimes not even then). After I asked several times, she finally asked but came back with the same answer. The only additional comment she made was that the premium sashimi was good. After I ordered the premium sashimi, her attitude suddenly changed and she became much more attentive. However, she started pushing me to order more sashimi before I even finished my lunch box. I felt uncomfortable and disappointed. Sadly, I don't think I want to return again.
