    Fresh flowers at the table
    Sandy R.

Love the idea of farm to table and fresh seasonal food! We had hoped to sit outdoors but it was too chilly. We were seated upstairs with a view of the river. It really is beautiful if you can sit outside. Fresh flowers on the table were a nice touch. My husband and both enjoyed steak salad the last time we were there, so we both ordered that and my husband ordered an iced tea. When our salads came, we were a little surprised the steak was cold. I could have sworn it was heated the last time I had it. I asked for a sharp knife so I could cut it. I did not remember the steak being so tough. The greens were delicious and are some of the best I've had. The veggies were good and the toasted garbanzo beans melted in my mouth. The size of the salad was ample served in a cool bowl with a deep well. The balsamic vinegar was delicious. Service was average at best and they were not busy. I did not enjoy the salad as much as I did the last time, but it was still delicious and the ingredients tasted fresh. When I got home I rechecked the menu which is a Grilled Steak Salad. So why it was not heated I can't say, but if that is what it is called, it seems like the steak should be warm, or the person should be asked if they want it cold. Not sure how the steak can be medium and than be cold. The iced tea my husband had was delicious. There is such a great ambiance at this restaurant, I would like to see a little more attention to detail and service but would still try this place again, because it is a beautiful space and I love the concept.

Vegan burger on a gluten free bun

Came in for an early dinner Friday night. We walked in (no reservation), were seated right away and were one of the first tables in the place. After we were seated, the place started to fill in for the night. The server was insanely slow and uninformed. I have a dietary restriction to gluten and want to feel safe eating at restaurants. He didn't seem to have any awareness of gluten and how dangerous it can be for some people. So that was disappointing and nerve wracking. Ordered food right away, took 20+ minutes to come out. I got the vegan burger with a gluten free bun and fries. My husband got the steak salad. The gf bun certainly looked unappealing, but it was actually amazing. The whole burger and fry plate was amazing actually. Very pleased with that meal. Now the salad, that's a different story. It was absolutely drenched in vinegar making it so tart and inedible. My husband eat the steak off the top and that was pretty much it. He felt horrible leaving all that food on his plate, but it was ruined. And of course he was left hungry. Overall, feels like this place is trying to be something it's not. We won't be back.

The feeling of the room is a romantic Irish pub with the movie Dodgeball playing in the background on the four TVs along the bar. I'm celebrating getting my taste back after having Covid, luckily loosing my ability to taste only lasted a couple of days. It was a cold winter night, and the beef stroganoff sounded like just the right remedy. Its warmth spread throughout my body and the added sour cream on top sent it over the edge to extraordinary. Our cool as hell waiter, Simon, suggested the Pistachio Almond Cream or the Lemon Blueberry Crumble Cheesecake for dessert. The Pistachio Almond Cream was so good I want to go back to try the Lemon Blueberry Crumble Cheesecake.

    House salad

Food and service were excellent! We had a reservation for 12 for a rehearsal dinner and we were so glad we chose Blueroot! Simon was our waiter and he took fantastic care of us! We had flatbread caprese, lamb lolipops and crabcakes for our appetizers. I had the house salad, chicken pesto, ravioli, and my daughter had grilled cheese with a side of mac & cheese. We ate it all! My husband couldn't make it to dinner and we got him the beef tenderloin to go and he ate it all as well! I had a couple of watermelon cocktails and they were delicious! We had a birthday to celebrate and they brought out a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. We absolutely love that local small businesses provide the food for this establishment! We will be back! -- We also loved the songs Max played! He was amazing! Our kids requested Elton John and Queen and he delivered!!!!

Ordered the bao buns and the slaw is very sweet, no habanero in it. They were also very empty, very little pork and slaw. Everything was very under seasoned, regular fries, sweet potato fries, and the panko mushrooms were all bland. They were out of the bison burger so we did the bleu cheese burger and it was overdone (we requested medium rare). Overall very disappointing.

Farm to Table concept. Ordered the power bowl with chicken. The mixed greens with roasted sweet potatoes and juicy chicken was very tasty.

We started with mimosas (only way to start a Sunday morning breakfast). What we ordered: * Steak Hash- my husband said this is his new favorite breakfast meal. This is a man who loves breakfast over any other meal. Order the steak hash, you will not be disappointed. * Piquant sausage crostata- I absolutely loved this dish. It was bursting with flavor in each bite. Definitely had a kick of spice, which I love. I think we have found our new Sunday brunch spot! Thank you Chef Patrick and Kathleen for giving us wonderful food and a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy our early Sundays.

Let me start by writing that this place deserves five stars and should be five stars, and I wanted…read moreso badly to give it five stars. But sadly there was a private event that spread the kitchen very thin and it took away from the overall experience. Food: 5.0/5.0 - Everything we ate was awesome. We did the Wood-Fired Artichoke, the Two Pigs in a Basket Crostata, the Steak Hash, and the Arugula Salad. Everything was cooked and flavored nicely but I wish the steak hash had more steak. (See my photos) Service: 4.5/5.0 - The server was kind and Joe was walking around checking in regularly, making sure we were protected from the rain. I dinged half a point because the server didn't have the best explanations for why everything was out. More on that later. Ambiance: 4.0/5.0 - I think on a normal evening on a date, this place would be 5.0/5.0. The decor is rustic/modern and it felt like a vacation spot that you'd visit on the Florida coast. Loved the brassware and the attention to detail in the presentation of food. It was a Sunday afternoon when we were there, so the band across the street was disruptive to the feel outside the restaurant in the garden and patio. By 3:00pm the flies and gnats were becoming annoying. So good scores in general and worthy of 5 stars, but alas, the kitchen was not prepared for the afternoon private party along with the crowd from the night before... apparently. They were "unable to make" or were out of several dishes. From what I can recall, there were no: pizza pies, whitefish, and chimichurri. They also ran out of all soda except a few bottles of Coca Cola. And there was no beer on tap because the keg was broken, so they only had Guinness and Stella bottles. Because of this, it stung to pay the prices we did for our items. I'd say a fair price point with all said and done is probably $3-$4 less on any item here. Crostatas were great, but maybe for $13. I'd pay $16 for the steak hash. I'm sure if we came back on a weeknight, this place would be amazing. Great people, great food, and everything in stock. If we came back, I'd love to upgrade this review to 5 stars. The problem is, the price may keep us from giving this place a second try.

We ordered the Pop Over Rolls to start off our meal and they were some of the best rolls I've ever had. I really liked that they had a hint of cheese and the butter was also delightful. To eat, I ordered the Summer Corn Ravioli and it was one of my favorite pasta dishes I've probably ever had. I did get it without the mushrooms as I typically am not a fan of mushrooms but the ravioli was perfectly cooked and the flavors were simply divine. My party also ordered various meat dishes that they all raved about as well. We did order the brussel sprouts and asparagus to share - I enjoyed the asparagus but did not try the brussel sprouts given they had bacon in them. We didn't order dessert BUT did get a fantastic vanilla cake with raspberry sauce for dessert that our server brought given it was my mom's birthday dinner. The cake was SO delicious and I was very happy we got it! To top it off, our service was amazing throughout and it was an overall wonderful experience. Thank you, The Greggory team, for a great first experience! We cannot wait to be back!

Absolutely amazing, and they debone right at your table. Also had the crab pasta and had a good taste of our friends market Wagyu steak. It was like butter. Keep in mind. This is not going to be cheap though. If you're gonna go to this place, expect not only excellent service but not your McDonald's prices. Saw a couple of the next table come in and order a hamburger and fries. Seriously? You come to this place for a burger and fries? (Lol). I'm sure the burger and fries was excellent, but this place is not known to be a burger joint, even though it's on the menu but again, to each his or her own. I wouldn't come here just to have a burger. There are many other places that do that. Step it up a little. Come here for a higher tier of food caliber. That being said: Our server was excellent. The manager along with the chef / the wine "professor"- (he was excellent as well- extremely knowledgeable, and paired our bottle of wine perfectly with all our meals) along with everyone else who came by to check on us. But our server was absolutely attentive and great. He wasn't pushy and he was very easy-going but very astute and had all the attention to detail. So hopefully we made his night when we came to the tip. (we weren't slouches, nope.). I wish I remembered his name, it wasn't a typical name, but he was outstanding. That being said, make sure that you pack away a couple "bones" when you see the check- also make sure that you tip your waiter for the outstanding job that they do. So don't skimp on that either. So again: It isn't cheap, but a place like this shouldn't be. We had a great experience overall- Also, this isn't your T-shirt and shorts type of place. You have to dress up. No schleps.. Capeesh?!!? leave your sandals at home. Which it should be. This is an experience, not your local In-N-Out Burger joint. Excellent and tasteful decor- excellent service highly highly highly recommend.
