I have been in here, probably a dozen times for beer and it is always an overall good experience. The service is hit or miss, depending on who it is and depending on the night of the week during trivia it is chaotic and a lot of fun to be there if you're in the mood for that. The back patio leave something to be desired. It is pretty barren. The selections are often vast, however sometimes there are not very many interesting beers. I wish there was more seating that was not a high stool. It doesn't feel like an intimate place and there's no food so it is kind of a strange spot. Better to get a quick beer than linger. read more

A couple of buddies and I came to Craft on a random Monday night, and our experience was extremely pleasant. To be honest, we were one of two parties in the bar, but we saw that as a good thing. Service was, as you can imagine, immediate, and the atmosphere was great for hanging out and having conversation. The bartender (I unfortunately didn't get his name) was a fantastic conversationalist. They were playing Aliens on one of the TVs, and we spent a good chunk of time just talking about the film and other random topics. For this trip to Craft, I wanted to try a beer I hadn't yet had, and the bartender named a few, including the one I ended up choosing, the Luna Negra, a Craft by Proper beer. I have had a lot of other beers from them which have been great, so I won't knock them too much for this one trip, but the beer was not good. It had nothing to do with the bartender or the bar itself, but the beer was unfortunately one of my least-favorite beers I've ever had. Guess that's what you get for asking for something "unique". Anyway, all that being said, Craft by Proper is still one of mg favorite local beer bars, and I'll be coming back sooner rather than later. read more

Stopped by on Sunday afternoon after having brunch near by. They had just opened so the place was empty. The bartender was super nice. I ordered a Paloma and it was good! The perfect drink as it starts to warm up. They currently don't have a patio. They do have a door that opens up a few seats to face out to the street. So it was nice to still have some of the patio feel even though you're inside. read more

Came here with friends after dinner for a couple of drinks and it was great. They have an open are where you can sit to face the streets and people watch. Especially looking at everyone who is going to the club next door. The bartender is super friendly. And very patient. He was the only one there who was checking ID and also getting people's drink. Nice spot to meet up with people, they have some larger tables as well as cute 2-people spots. The service is friendly and there's water easily accessible close to the bathrooms. I personally like the vibe of other places a bit more but it's not a bad spot! I believe there is parking around the back, my group and I weren't sure at first so we parked elsewhere and walked 2 blocks to get here. read more

Came on a Saturday and this is the second time in the last year we have came here. Staff is incredibly rude both times we've been here. The place and beer is good but the 2 bartenders were strange to interact with both times. We will never come back, drop these 2 bartenders if you want to increase sales. Anywhere that offer half pours of beer has my loyalty. I can never finish a full beer but I love trying new kinds. I can't wait to go back and try one of the beer cocktails - I've never had one before and I am so intrigued! The arcade in the basement is a nice bonus, although you do have to pay for the games. The only note I have is the stools are insanely uncomfortable. I believe all businesses should offer a mix of high and low tops for people with limited mobility (granny or someone in a leg cast would never be able to get up on one of those stools).... or maybe just for grumpy people like me who hate high tops lol! But seriously, I cannot see myself hanging out here for hours and chatting with friends because of how uncomfortable the stools are. That being said, I'm still giving five stars because of the vibe, prices, drink selection, and arcade. I can't wait to go back! Maybe I'll just stand.... read more

This seemed like a cool bar, although when I came here it was pretty empty. The beer selection was interesting and the interior space was nice. The staff were moderately friendly but not the most welcoming. I'll probably check this place out again the next time I'm in Salt Lake City. read more

I'm visiting from California and I genuinely believe this is one of the best bars I've ever been too in my 25 years of living. James and Austin were the coolest workers/bartenders I've ever met and gave the best service. This place might be my new favorite place in Sugarhouse! It is a bar, but on the menu they do have $20 bag of chips, LOL! I think they have to because you know, Salt Lake. But they do encourage you to instead grab some food from around the area and bring it in! That is a nice touch. Now their beer list is quite extensive. Almost overwhelming! The first time I came, I had the Sour Rangers (Pink Sour Power Rangers beer). It was AMAZING! Super sour, slightly sweet, total blast to my childhood of Power Ranger memories. But they no longer have it because the menu is rotating. Be on the lookout though because that beer was AWESOME! If you're not sure, chat with the bartenders. They are super friendly and always have great suggestions. Now the best part...the downstairs is an arcade! They have Skee-ball, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, some other button mashing games...but the best. 4-player Pac-Man! So awesome, especially with 4 people. It even has drink holders so you can focus on eating ghosts and your friends. read more

This place is by far one of the top "bars" in Sugarhouse. They don't have a kitchen, so get something from Wasatch or Fiddlers elbow, before you come. It's an awesome place for a group or just a date. It has one main bar upstairs and then a "game room"...down stairs. No pool or darts, but I don't see that as a negative. Best overall beer selection in town and they're ALL from UT. Pretty much the best stouts from all of the local brew pubs A few TV's for games. Food available for delivery by Hopkins across the street is a bonus. Easy-going, friendly staff. Great location in Sugarhouse. read more
