I've given this place many chances because Peter, the manager, has always been kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the salon itself has consistently felt disorganized and unclean. On multiple occasions, I've arrived for scheduled appointments and still waited 15 minutes or longer to be seen. This past weekend, I visited again after receiving a gift card for a pedicure. During my appointment, the nail technician repeatedly pressured me to upgrade to a more expensive pedicure, although I chose the $65 option. While receiving the pedicure, I also noticed the floors appeared dirty. During the service, the technician told me I had an ingrown toenail and proceeded to dig into my big toe. Unfortunately, I woke up today with significant swelling, redness, and what appears to be an infection. I am now going to urgent care to receive antibiotics because the pain is severe. I believe this may be related to poor sanitation and cleanliness practices at the salon. read more

Its a nice spot! Pedicure was on point, but When you give the tech a picture and ask if they can do it?! And they say "yes" Please be honest! The tech did not know what she was doing at all. Asking another tech to come help without management knowing it crazy work. The other person trying to help you and whispering and practicing on a nail tip right infront of the customer is crazy. As far as gel fills... GO SEE KELLY!!!!! She is the absolute best!!!! She takes her time and makes sure you are happy with every step of the process! Unfortunately she's a college student and due to her major her availability is very slim. Besides Amy (owner's gf) who also is rarely doing nails... You're taking chances. I had to drop the stars due to their over priced pedicures. I was recently charged $63 for a quick soak, and change of color and paraffin wax. I have came to Bliss Nails 5 times already. My experience has been wonderful. The salon is very clean, organized! They will give you bottled water as your getting your service. I'm always seen right away . I love the flexibility they have with salon open hours. ( open on Sundays ) and will close passed 5 pm during the week. Let's start with this is a beautiful salon but the service lacks. Best friend and I made appointments for two pedicures. They were booked for an hour prior to closing (not our choice) which we were in aware of. If we would of known we were going to be rushed and given a poor pedicure. We would of booked earlier or went else where. Our pedicure choice guaranteed you a 50min pedicure . My girl clearly was learning and was just kind of following along with the other techs Which was fine you have to learn somewhere. But you could tell she was unsure with the steps . My friends tech was cleaning the salon and giving her a pedicure at the same time and completley skipped/ shortened steps in the pedicure. While her someone kind of hovered over and was waiting for her to finish so they could leave. And the cherry on top, we opted for regular polish for our toes which usually means you sit under a drying table til they are dry. Nope were were painted and handed out checks. I told him my daughter had a doctor's appt scheduled the same day we went to get our nails done and I had scheduled both our nail appts at 1p not one at 1p and one 1:30p AND because THEY did not keep our scheduled appt time of 1p THEY made us LATE for her doctor appt. Bait and switch. When I called and asked how much a full set of gel nails was, I was told $43. I asked how much nail art was and I was told between 10 and $15 for all mails. So I figured everything including tip would be about $65.Once I had the service done, they told me it was $53 for A full gel set and $43 was for an acrylic set. They then charged me an additional five dollars for trimming my cuticles and another five dollars for shipping the false tips another five dollars for something else and $15 to do nail art on my to Pinkie nails. Everything came to $90! That is utterly ridiculous! I would've gone to West Hartford Or Avon and not had to pay those prices! Initially eyebrow wax but then eyelash extensions were offered. 1:00pm was my set time I wasn't late I didn't get in a chair until 1:20 ish I had didn't leave until 5:00pm. My toes look great my nails look great got what I asked for. I've gotten my eyebrows waxed before from here had no issue this time around I've broken out. First time ever receiving eyelash extensions eyes had to be kept wide open (which was hard when someone has a sharp object near your eye) no lash rinse was preformed beforehand , no volume, they were glued to my skin! I have been coming to Bliss Nail exclusively for over three years now, through two different owners, and have never had a bad experience here. I have had countless manicures, gel manicures, acrylic full sets and refills, pedicures and spa pedicures and for the most part I have received perfectly professional, exceptional service. My only criticism is that throughout both owners they are almost always running 15+ minutes behind so I suggest you schedule with some wiggle room. Particularly since it has been under new ownership and management, the entire inside has been refinished, all stations and pedicure chairs upgraded, further precautions are taken as far as sanitization, and the overall quality of the technicians work has improved. I have gone for gel manicures a few times and a pedicure once. I wanted to like it but was not impressed. The gel does not last (mine chipped within days) and the pedicure was lackluster. I was also disappointed in the service as they tried to convince me to get acrylic nails (more expensive) every time I visited. However I have been back three times after my friend took me there. She discovered this location solely because it is next to a good salon, Dante's. It has no website, and no really good advertisement at all. I get my Gel UV manicure there. All ten fingers for under $20. You will find no where else who does this, most places charge 40 and up. After my first expirence, I will be going back. I arrived on an early Saturday morning without an appointment. I needed my nails cleaned, manicured and re-painted. I was greeted warmly and only waited around 5 minutes to be seen. I believe the woman who assisted me was the owner, I didn't catch her name. She was very nice and accommodating. All of the employees we're very interested in making sure clients we're happy with their nail polish choice - but not in an overbearing way. The shop is very clean! The manicure itself was very gentle and efficient; no painfully cut cuticles, no over filing... She shaped up my nails perfectly. The woman who was getting a full set of acrylics next to me also had perfectly shaped nails, I was impressed. The gel application was typical. I wanted an accent nail on each hand and I allowed the technician to do whatever she'd like, they came out great! Now, two weeks later, I am looking forward to revisiting Bliss. I've had various problems in the past including poorly applied Gel nails that fray up at the bottom and catch my hair... LOVED THIS PLACE. Mark did my nails and he took his time and was very patient with me considering I am very indecisive. I usually dislike square nails, but it's the only shape I can really do at the length I need to keep my acrylics. But the shape he gave me was so nice. I've been here a few times for a full set, fills and pedicures. Pedicures were GREAT!! Wasn't too satisfied with my nails, the acrylic was too thick for my liking and they didn't last as expected. The sides of my real nails would separate from the tip/acrylic before my 2 week fill was due. When I would go to get my "repair" the nail tech would use the electric filer and file down my real nail that was separated from the tip/acrylic, leaving the ends of my real nails thin and jagged. Not only did she dip the stick into the wax over and over again not using a new stick which concerned me she continued to now wax my upper lip.
