I should've checked the prior reviews for waxing, but I agree to stay away from their waxing services. Left with uneven brows and they were 50% thinner, when I had asked for a cleanup. They also do not apply any aloe or lotion after. The front desk asked if I wanted lip waxing too which makes me think they were trying to upsell a service they are not good at. She also failed to notify me upfront that they only take credit cards for payments over $20. I think their nail services at the Medford Bliss location are decent, but be aware this is not the place for waxing. read more

Service- Got a dip manicure and cat eye glitter paint. Seemed like she was rushing, I was in and out in 45 minutes which was great if I had received the manicure I booked and the filing was very minimal which left my nails chunky. Quality- I did not get a manicure but was charged for it, in the moment I did not realize that she was not doing anything for my cuticles or prepping the nails in anyway. She had shaped them and went right into the dip powder. I was with a friend who got an intricate design and hers was somehow cheaper than mine. The tech who did my nails came up with the price but did not take off the manicure and did not disclose the price of the cat eye polish. Again, I realize I did not say it in the moment, however I tried to privately contact them to tell them and I have no gotten an answer or response. Vibe- Nice inside, but the techs and owner seemed annoyed that we were there. The experience here was okay. I spent a little over $55 after tip for a pedicure that lasted less than 20 minutes. The service felt rushed. That was my main complaint. The salon is small but clean. The staff didn't really interact with us the whole time we were being serviced. They just mostly spoke amongst themselves. There was nothing wrong with the paint job (except that they do not have a great selection of colors, they could definitely improve here) but the experience just left a lot to be desired for the price. read more

TMI but I just came back from here and I got a Brazilian. Excuse the too much information, but it was very painful and I was extremely uncomfortable for the rest of the day. I just got home and I realized that I was bleeding. When I went to check out, it was five dollars more than the website said as well. She's like our prices went up a long time ago. Since 2020, my friends and I have pampered ourselves with different manicure and pedicure services. They're consistently good and during lockdown they ran it like a clinic with safe distance and sanitary protocols. These days, I continue to go for maintenance, especially my feet. Every technician is courteous, skillful & creative. My regular techs who I recommend most are Manita, Nina and Jason. But everyone who has worked on my friends and family has been top-notch as well. I went on a weekend, and the salon was almost empty. My pedicure took about an hour, and the woman was very thorough. However, when I got home, I noticed that my big toenails were not painted all the way. The topcoat is also chipping after a day. When I was getting my dip removed for a dip manicure, the woman was using a bunch of different sanding tips to drill the old dip off my nails. She did not use a cotton ball and foil until I asked her to. At that point, my nail was so flimsy. I only went here because Medford Nail Bar was booked. I will never be back. I came in on today for a gel French manicure and regular pedicure hoping that I would come out looking like " a million bucks." That was a lie... I left VERY unsatisfied, given that this was my first time at this establishment I was hoping to get the experience of a life time per say. I got nothing but that. Starting with my pedicure, the technician did a great job but kept trying to take off excess skin on my big left toe and continue to hurt me, I had to let her know on multiple occassions that she can leave it alone becasue it hurt. Then, once I was done go sit over there ( as she directed me to the seat where I was going to get my manicure done). As I was getting my gel manicure done I explained to the nail tech that I would like a round square shape. As the nail tech shapes my finger it's round at this point I'm telling her it's fine but letting her know to make sure it's similar to the oppossite hand. I had to let her know multiple times that they are not even and asked her to reshape it over and over again. Eventually I gave up and said it's fine, when it came to the sides of my nail the technician did a sloppy job. The tip looked a hot mess, I kept telling her to fix it but it was also a loss cause. As I'm writing this I'm in disbelief that I paid full price for something of this naure. NEVER AGAIN! As I was leaving I told the host that I was not content with the way my French manicure came out. He said that I can come return within 5 days and get it re-done I believe. That can't be the case becasue I do not own a vehicle so a service that cost me $85 (French manicure & pedicure) pluse $24 dollare uber ride is not worth it. For a nail salon at Assembly Row I was expecting more. Last but not least I believe they were overbooked and I didn't get a hand massage or lotion. My nail tech just left me under the UV machine and went about her day with a new customer. I'm just very apalled at this experience, in the future I will plan to go with my gut and stick to places that I know provide great quality work and customer service. read more

I am a regular customer of the Bliss Nails in Medford. They always do my nails really well. I just moved to assembly row so went to this location as it's close by. BIG MISTAKE. I went for a dip removal and the lady said, why don't you get a refill. I agreed to that and then she tells me she doesn't have time. That's okay. Then, she and the receptionist lady (who is incredibly rude, btw) started arguing. The nail artist does not remove my dip well (pics below). Doesn't even file them properly and tells me I'm done. I tell her to file them and then she does but still very very bad. I asked for black nail color to which she said no (what?!) After she is done removing my dip, the receptionist asks her to ask me if I want to get dip again. WHAT?!?! This was a very bad and disappointing experience. I will never go back here. read more

I've gone to Bliss Nails for 3 years (minus 8 mos. during the pandemic when I was afraid to go) and have always had excellent service from Manita. I've resumed going there recently and thoroughly enjoy my pedicure, foot and back massages (chair), and gel nails from Manita, who was also a massage therapist in NYC. She's a sweetheart. They're ok. I went in for GelX nails. The lady was quick and did a good paint job, but the shaping was horrible. Luckily I do my own nails at home so I had all the tools to fix them. I just tried this nail salon for the first time today and had Cindy as my nail tech. I LOVE how my gel nails came out. Have have super dry cuticles and I asked Cindy to be mindful of that. I'm someone who is really annoying all the time when I decide to do anything with my nails. To be honest, I'm really picky and pay attention to even smallest things. Usually I get the Gel mani all the time and I love my nails (most of the time, they have some mistakes too but who doesn't?). Last time I got my nails done, I decided to try the Sns color (dipping powder) with extension because I broke all my nails when I was skiing before Christmas. And I love it too. My nails is amazing, natural and just simply beautiful. I usually get Nina, Dennis or Amanda to do my nails. About the price, in my own opinion, it's not expensive at all. You will get what you pay for after all. I would definitely recommend. They also have waxing/threading. 5* from a picky person like me. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. They have mastered the art of making it look clean and hygienic, but it is far from it. They don't sterilize a lot of the utensils that they use on your feet during a pedicure and much of what they use on your fingernails as well. They will give you subpar service and get angry if you speak up about it or ask them to fix it. They are extremely rude and only smiling when they're taking your money. They charge you extra and make up prices that don't make sense as the see fit. There's an older lady there for some reason I feel like she might be the owner, who will dismiss anything you say to her. When you let her speak, she tries to pretend as though what she's doing makes sense and when it's your turn to talk, she won't let you speak and just keeps talking over you. Had my nails done for my friend's wedding. We called a week ahead of time and made a reservation for the four of us. Despite that, when we arrived, they were running half an hour behind, and they staggered all our appointments so we couldn't sit and talk during our treatments. When it came time to pick colors, I selected one and the technician told me another similar color would be better. I said sounds good! Later the owner came up and told me they would have to charge me more for that specific one. I wasn't willing to pay more so I asked for just another color in my price range, and it seemed like they were confused or maybe upset I asked for that. I prefer transparency when it comes to prices and always love to know what I'm spending for my treatments. For the prices Bliss charges, I didn't feel the service or salon amenities were reflected in that cost. read more

The front desk is never friendly but the manicurist are generally good and do a decent job. I come here because it's the most convenient and decent nail salon close to my home. They also have a 0 tolerance late policy - even if you are only running 5 to 10 minutes late. Again, I think ownership doesn't necessarily believe in "the customer comes first." This place is much more run "business first." But the convenient location and manicurists keeps me coming back, so until some place better opens up nearby I'll continue visiting this salon. ** to clarify - the front desk called at 11:15 AM EXACTLY (see screen shot below) to ask where I was - hence the comment about 0 tolerance late policy. I was also only 7 min away so not sure where 11:33 came from seeing I was already half way to the salon and only live 15 min away. Also - at 9 months pregnant I think I did damn good only being 7 minutes late!! Again - the manicurists are good here, but the Owners defensiveness in the comment below just shows what I mean by not putting the customer first. Every nail was a completely different length, both hands barely matched, they were all way shorter than I asked for except the thumbs were longer than I asked for, and the colors all blended into each other because she didn't have me put them in the uv light in between colors. Big yikes ..... came in for a pedicure and nail dip. bad pedicure, seemed like she was irritated with me the entire time because she was basically slapping the tools on my feet and legs at one point. The trimming tools were dirty before she used them on me as well, she was grabbing them from a messy disgusting cart before proceeding to cut my cuticles and nails. Horrifying. The dip manicure was also awful, I have quite long natural nails and asked for a small trim back and she cut off 75% of my nails so now they're short stubs. I also got a gel top coat and you can see all of the brush strokes on top of every nail, it's a thick gooey mess. They look so bad it's embarrassing. I'm going to a new place to have them redone tomorrow. Never fun to spend $100 on something that should make you happy but leaves you very unhappy! Definitely won't be back. read more

I just got pedicure there and the lady who did it was very rude. She started to cut my toe nails, which were already short, and I pulled back and asked her to just file them. She said she couldn't because they were too long, but they were already cut down to the skin because I cut them myself before I went in. (because I don't like how short they make them at the salon) She pulled my foot back and cut my big toe nail way down below the skin so you can see the nail bed and it is very uncomfortable and it is all I can focus on and I cried when i left the salon. I HATE how they look because I look like I have Barney Rubble feet with my toenails so short. At every other salon I have ever been regardless of manicure or pedicure, to they ALWAYS ask if you want them cut or filed and what length. The fact that I SPECIFICALLY ASKED her to not do it and she flat out refused and did it anyway is unacceptable. I will never go there again. read more

For 4-5 times when I was here i always requested Kim, she's always very thorough and careful. However, after i peaced out on my nails I decided to come back and didnt request anyone specifically. My technician was an older women in her 40-50. And what really shocked me was she almost clipped part of my finger- see photo ( you can see the part of the skin came off because she was halfway clipping and If i had not pull my hand out in time I think things could get bloody..) Other than that I wasnt impressed with the quality of her work nor that i think the price justifies the work at all. 35$ for dip powder removal and regular manicure (regular polish) is pricey. I'd give no stars if I could. My daughter and I went in on Monday and asked if they had availability for walk ins. If they didn't, no problem. They decided to take us, but I should've known better since the man that originally "greeted" us was rude right from the get go. He ended up taking my daughter and was extremely rough, and rushed the service. She was done with a full set and gel in literally 20 minutes. I had mine done, and the nail tech was a nice older gentleman but did my dip too thin and by the next day I had 3 broken nails and the rest were cracked. Originally on Monday night I called (when just one had broken) and asked them to fix it. They didn't seem happy, but said ok. By Tuesday at 1 I had two more broken and a bunch cracked. I called back to let them know I wasn't going to come fix them, as I was letting her know and was literally mid sentence asking how they were going to rectify the situation, she hung up on me. Zero customer service, they do not care at all if you're happy, they just want your money in the moment. All in all with tip I spent $145 there. Waste of time and money, with zero offer of even a partial refund. Please save yourself the energy and go elsewhere. read more

This nail salon is at one of the hidden corners of Assembly row. Parking was a pain but finally got to my nail appointment. My experience was not terrible because the everyone was somewhat nice but not friendly. I forgot who did my nails but I had a gel manicure done and I wasn't please with the color selection (or lack there of) or anything else about my finished nails. I kept asking my tech to shape it the way I wanted but it requested so many times that I felt bad and she wasn't happy that I kept telling her how I wanted my nails. I came home with thick gel nails so they feel like my natural nails anymore. The color selection there like I said was poor at best. The only reason I'm giving them two stars is because the salon was clean, maintained well, and they were somewhat nice. My nails are chunky the paint job was rushed. When he asked if I wanted gel I said No thanks and it seemed to annoy him. When I told him I wanted them short he looked at me like I had 10 heads. I would have preferred for the salon to tell me up front that no one was able to do acrylics. The pedicure was amazing!!!
