    Quesabirria

Saw many posts on IG and really wanted to try their food quesabirria. Finally got to try them at a market downtown and unfortunately not what I expected. The staff was nice and service was pretty quick considering they had a whole market full of people to serve. But unfortunately the flavor was lacking. The quesabirria by themselves were pretty average, nothing too bad but nothing too exciting. The consomé helped a bit with flavor but still not as good as other places I've tried. Looks better than it tastes. Overall okay.

4/5! Was recommended to give this place a try while in the area. The food truck is located in a nice open area with plenty of places to sit and eat. The food: I got the quesobirria tacos, which coke with 4 tacos, and they were delicious. The meat was cooked nicely as it wasn't dry or chewy. It had plenty of melted cheese and had a slight kick as well. It all worked very well together, especially with the consomé! The consomé was flavorful and had some chunks of meat in it as well. The service: the staff were very friendly and answered any questions I had. The food came out at a reasonable time. I didn't have to wait long at all, as there weren't many people there. Overall, great food and great service. I'll go back again if I'm back in Texas.

Stumbled across this food truck at the Bayou City Arts Festival and thought the birria nachos sounded good so we gave them a try. The man who took my order was kind and funny and I thought the price of the nachos was very fair. The birria and the rest of the toppings were actually very good and there was enough to last down to the last chip, which I very much appreciate. The reason I gave this truck 3 stars is the chips were very stale. The toppings were delicious and it would have been amazing if they were paired with some much better chips. Instead, I almost resorted to just eating the toppings with a fork. Some of the other items on this truck's menu looked good and I would give them a second chance with some of those other items if I ever stumble on this truck again.

I saw so many post on Instagram about their birria and looking forward to try it with friends. It turned out to be such a disappointment. Service was very slow and the food wasn't even good. The barbacoa meat has no flavors. It was so plain. They didn't have cheese and did apologize for it but it sure tasted different without the cheese. My friends and even the table sat close by us, they were all complaining of how bad it tasted. I ate one birria and couldn't eat the rest of them.

Queso birria tacos. (Onions, cilantro and radishes in the foil pack)

The hubs and I stopped by 8th Wonder Brewery and just happened to find this food truck opening for lunch out back. We ordered the Queso Birria Tacos. (Comes with 4. We chose 2 beef barbacoa and 2 chicken birria) The cheese, meat and tortillas were super tasty. But add the pickled onions, cilantro, chopped onions and radish. Wow. Then dip them in that good consommé...we were in taco heaven. Zeus was super friendly and very personable. We really enjoyed meeting him. Wishing him lots of great business. Go see him!!

So me and this edible chocolate bar I call my wife decided to do a Birria crawl... We started up in spring and made our way south... 4 stops later we arrived. The atmosphere is perfect, the sun was out but it didn't preheat the patio to 375 so we were pretty chill... The Birria tacos are literally happiness embodied. They are even mentioned in the constitution... the right to life liberty and the pursuit of Birria Tacos... or whatever James Madison said... This post comes to you after having been there 3 times and not once did they disappoint. The only downfall about this place is the wait time for your order combined with the fact that they are calling your name from the window. If you are sitting at a table inside or too far from the truck you may not hear them. If it's busy you can see how 15 people crowding the truck waiting for orders can be a little uncomfortable. They should invest in a simple bullhorn and then they'll be on top of the game...

If you don't like delicious, extra cheesy birria tacos and flavorful consommé, then DO NOT COME HERE taking up space in the line. I flew in from Boston, Mass. after seeing many Instagram advertisements from BlkMktBirria. I really wanted to try it out but was very skeptical of the three star rating and reviews about lack of cheese and flavor/spice. I decided to go anyway. I showed up 30 minutes after they opened. The food was BOMB. Seriously! I ordered the quesobirria tacos. They were HUGE and filled with cheese and meat. I even requested salsa to make it even spicier, but it didn't need it. The meat and consommé were both flavorful with an appropriate amount of heat. Listen, I plan on being a frequent customer. ...so, so, so good.

Came here for dinner after seeing the awesome pics on Instagram. Sadly my food didn't resemble the amazing dishes I saw online. The birria tacos didn't come with nearly enough cheese, and the cheese was honestly what I was looking forward to the most. The tortillas also felt a little over cooked. The burrito and quesadilla had more cheese than the tacos, which made them taste a lot better. My favorite overall was the quesadilla. I'll probably come back to give the tacos another shot.

We stopped here on a whim - weren't even planning on eating but had to try! They recommended the quesabirria and it did not disappoint. We had to wait a bit but it was definitely worth it, and 8th wonder has a lot of things(and beers) to keep you entertained while you wait! Add this to your Houston tour and stop here for lunch!

Not worth the hype. Birria tacos. The meat is okay, the broth almost tastes like perfume.

Not worth the hype. The meat is okay, the broth has a perfume taste, no good! Their Instagram has great advertising, but probably not coming back.

Queso birria tacos from @blkmktbirria were perfect for taco Tuesday! Don't be a fool like me and order a la carte. Go for the whole deal (4 tacos) because you will want more! With multiple trucks rotating around the city daily, they are easy to find. I'll be wanting these tacos more than just Tuesdays. Tip: not sure why the tortilla is red but it will stain your fingers! FYI

We got the Birria Ramen and Quesabirria. They were out of Chicken and I am very picky about my barbacoa, but I have to say it was so good. The service was excellent, staff was very nice.

Dry, hard tortilla dipped in food coloring lol?

The service was efficient, the operation ran smoothly, and it was easy to see why there was a steady stream of customers. Alert: Cash Only…read more I've passed this taco truck countless times and almost always seen a line stretching from the window. There's even a security guard on site, which only adds to the impression that this place is fire. So when I happened to drive by on a 100-degree afternoon and found no line, I took it as a sign to finally give it a try. The small parking lot adjacent to the truck was nearly empty, except for a few other patrons who probably had the same idea. Ordering was simple and to the point. The menu keeps things straightforward: a selection of meats served as tacos or plates with a handful of sides. I ordered two barbacoa tacos with salsa verde. Less than two minutes after placing my order, they were in my hands. Fast service on a scorching day is always appreciated. With no seating available, I retreated to the comfort of my car to eat. Based on the amount of grease packed into these tacos, I would recommend doing the same. Eating them while standing could end with your shirt becoming an unintended side dish. One thing to note: don't count on a generous napkin supply. I realized after returning to my car that none were included. Consider keeping a few emergency fast-food napkins in your glove compartment. Those leftover Taco Bell napkins may finally fulfill their destiny. The barbacoa was flavorful, the salsa verde complemented it well, and overall, the tacos were overall tasty. That said, I left somewhat underwhelmed considering the crowds I routinely see gathered here during lunch and dinner hours. Perhaps I'm missing the standout item that keeps customers lining up daily. Even so, if you happen to have cash in your pocket and find yourself craving authentic tacos, this truck is certainly worth a stop.
