This experience was just okay. I was a little concerned when booking since I was not so sure my textured hair would be an issue. The staff seemed to be diverse. This location is great, the aesthetics are really nice but this bait and switch culture is ridiculous. My hair is fine but textured; however, with any stylist that I have seen in the last 20yrs, service is usually less than an hour for a blowout. I booked a standard shampoo, blowout and conditioner. My stylist was Ming. When I arrived, she mentioned that if this was longer than 1 hour, it would be an extended rate. The customer cannot control other variables (the stylist washed another customer or she is generally moving slow). Her hands were not in my head at all times within the hour. This service went over 10 mins and I was charged an additional $15. I am not cheap by any means but I do not like random fees just because you can. I have been here on several occasions when the Ponce location is booked out. You are better off going to DryBar or Ponce location. Some of the stylists have an attitude, run 15-20 minutes late with no apology. There are other places that are better to go to in the area. read more

Kema did a fantastic job with my blow out yesterday. I have my hair blown out all around the world and she is world class at her talent. The shampoo was lovely and she used strength and power to get my hair as straight as can be and she did it quickly and with great talent. We always have such an amazing experience there. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. My daughter and I have long Covid and it's hard for us to wash hair at home now. They always accommodate us and help us get our hair, clean and beautiful even if they are slammed they always make time for us and we are so forever grateful. Not everyone is that kind. The stylists are amazing. We had Tiffany and Kema. Both were so sweet and kind. I did an amazing job. Came highly recommended from a friend who got a blow out. I came for an updo. Receptionist was very sweet and welcoming. Showed stylist what I was looking for. A pull back that was not over styled. When she finish, she showed me the back with a mirror that was distorted and hard to see with. It felt loose and I asked a few times if it would hold all night. I was told yes. When I felt in the back, I felt pins sticking halfway out. My 13 yr old son asked what happened to my hair. Even he knew it was not right. I had him take pictures of the back so I could see it better. Needless to say, I had to redo it myself. Update- Appreciate the gesture of a refund. When I called to book the appointment and explained that I just wanted a simple pull back that did not look overworked, she said it would be considered a dry style. When I got there and explained the same thing to the stylist, she said it was an updo but was only going to charge me for a dry style since that is what I was told when I booked. I did not ask for braids, that is what she put in. I showed her a picture. The mirror she gave me was distorted and I live far away and would not have had time to come back. What a terrible experience. The first stylist rinsed my hair, got 1/2 way through blow drying, and then asked to rinse again because the product she put in my hair was leaving a weird residue. Then halfway through blow drying my hair for the second time, she disappears and then never returns. They assigned me to a second stylist who was great but the whole process took more than 2x what a normal blowout would take and I was on a time crunch. I have visited this location before and been happy but not on this past week end! I booked online on Wednesday the 19th for 2 appointments on the 30th, I specifically booked early as it was my sons graduation. When we arrived the girl at reception told me that they only had one booking, we discussed how I booked and she looked at me and said "well we only have one"... no discussion on any offer of assistance or how we could figure something out, she did not ask to see the email I received showing my 2 appointments, she also said " well we have been having issues with online booking"..... she was extremely unprofessional and the treatment we received was unacceptable. She snapped at me that "well I have 2 stylists and they both have appointments so...." I have $180 of gift cards that I want my money back for, I will never give them the opportunity to ruin another special occasion. read more

I just had a disappointing conversation with the owner, Grace. I asked if I could record our conversation at which that point she said she was hanging up and she would not continue the conversation. I told her before she hung up that I was disappointed in her unprofessional behavior and remarks. She called me to state that historically my hair takes 2 hours and that she would not be able to complete my service in the 45 min slot. I explained that historically I had had extensions and I no longer have extensions. At that point, she stated she wanted to inform me that a 20% gratuity would be expected regardless of what service was completed. I told her gratuity his based off the quality of service. She states gratuity is customary either way and that she recommend I visit another location. She was very unprofessional and condescending. I do not recommend this location until the owner can provide better customer service to include listening skills and better verbalization of her thoughts. When I specifically asked why she recommended I visit another location, she said her location may not be "a good fit" if I don't provide 20% gratuity. ***After posting my review, I decided to read the other negative reviews. Several negative reviews mention the owner, Grace, being rude. Each time she responds she seems to recollect the situation totally different from the reviewer. Interesting. Response: Grace, you are either a liar or delusional. 1) I never asked you to squeeze me in. We both immediately agreed that it would be OK if I did not get a full blow out service at the appointment. I told you multiple times that the appointments that took two hours included styling my extensions. I told you that multiple times. I also told you that I no longer have extensions and is usually just get my hair blow dried without styling so for that reason I was ok with only 45 min. 2) You said I wasn't a good fit before I mentioned recording the call. You saying I wasn't a good fit promoted me to ask if the call could be recorded. I asked for your permission to record the call and you abruptly hung up. 3) I said gratuity is based off what services were completed and customer satisfaction. You stated multiple times that, even though we would only be completing 45 minutes of service, you would still expect me to provide gratuity for a two hour appointment. I told you that statement was confusing to me, as it did not make sense. You then stated over and over again that, even if my service was stopped at 45 minutes, which it would be, you would still expect gratuity based on a two hour service because of my historical visits. I actually have several other people that overheard the conversation and can serve as witnesses to your statements. This is not about really needing my hair styled. This is about principal, business owners mistreating customers, business owners lying on customers, and business owners lying about how they handled a situation. Do you not think it is interesting that you recollect situations completely different from your clients that had issues with you? If you are going to mistreat customers and be rude, at least own up to what you did. read more

I held my daughter's 10th birthday at Blo, East Cobb. They pulled out all the stops to make the event so special for her and her friends. From cotton candy, treat bags and a special birthday sign to the perfect Taylor Swift tunes playing everything was perfect. The girls couldn't stop talking about how much fun it was and all the moms were so impressed with the quality of the hairstyles. We will definitely be recommending the salon to friends both for regular blow outs and parties alike. read more

Update to my first and previous review of this place. I booked a last minute appointment on Friday evening, surprised that they even had any availability. When I walked in I was offered water or wine. They had about 3-4 choices of wine which was great. My stylist name was Michael and he was fantastic!!! He did a great job with washing my hair. He styled my hair efficiently leaving a beautiful wave that lasted for days. He explained what he was going to do the wave tighter first and then smooth it out. He did exactly that and the results were amazing. Really glad I have given this place a couple of more tries. They have upped their game since the first time I was there. read more

My hair is perfect after he works his magic. He's very fast and leaves my hair bouncy and soft. I've tried several places and people and nobody gives me a better blow out than Richard.
