Veal chop and creamed spinach. Yum yum.

Hold my drink because this is an exceptional dining experience. First time visitors, friends who live in the neighborhood suggested going there but they hadn't been there themselves. My meal was delicious. Veal Chop perfectly seasoned and delicious creamed spinach. The date cake is a MUST. Will be back to try different things on the menu!

Came here for dinner, it wasn't too busy yet. We ordered the salami, burrata, & honey toast to start- it was sweet & savory with a good amount of burrata on toasted bread and I would definitely order it again. The truffle french fries came piled high, crispy & hot. The rigatoni spicy vodka pasta had a good spice to it and hit the spot- I just love a great spicy vodka pasta. The tomahawk pork chop was tender & juicy- definitely shareable and great combination with the mashed potatoes on the side. For dessert we ordered the toffee date cake & tiramisu. The toffee date cake came hot, moist & drenched in toffee sauce with a scoop of ice cream. The tiramisu had good espresso flavor, but more cream layer overall. Parking- small lot behind building or street parking

Marvin is a great spot for date night or a cozy gathering with friends. It's not a huge restaurant, so it feels very intimate. The lighting is pretty dim, but it does add to the vibe. The food is honestly really solid. I loveeee their Caesar salad. It's so savory and has just the right amount of dressing. The squash blossoms are delicious and not too heavily fried. They come with heirloom tomatoes tossed in a beautiful olive oil dressing. The porcini soup is very flavorful, but not too creamy. For the entree, I love the rigatoni spicy vodka. The fresh basil provides the perfect contrast from the savory, buttery pasta sauce. Noodles cooked to perfection. The steak frites was good, but honestly wouldn't get again. It wasn't anything special and lacks flavor as compared to their other dishes. I really love Marvin and plan to be back in the future. The one thing I will say is that their service is quick, but the servers I've interacted with have never been friendly per se. They seem to want to take the order quickly and get annoyed if you need some more time. I'm not sure if that's the culture at Marvin or if that's just been my experience.

A friend was in town and staying by the Beverly Center and wanted to get together for dinner nearby. With that instruction combined with the 2026 Red Dining Book, we wound up at the small neighborhood wine bar, Marvin. There are handful of outdoor tables on the side walk under a blue and white awning, we found ourselves dining inside under a ceiling of cans and colorful twinkle lights near the packed bar. The staff quickly greeted us and gave us our choice of tables as it hadn't quite filled up yet. The spicy vodka rigatoni lived up to all of the other reviews praises and is arguably one of the best ones I've had in LA (it also packs a bit of slow heat). Our waiter was honest when we asked about fries or truffle fries, his recommendation of regular fries delivered (the aioli was excellent with splash of lemon). The brussel sprouts were pan roasted well. The chicken parm (was a tad too salty) was huge and comes with a pesto pasta on the side.

I came here for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. It was delicious! This neighbourhood Italian/French bistro felt cozy and relaxed - a true neighbourhood gem. Everything that we ordered was perfect! The server was nice and laidback. My favorites were the potato chips & Jamon Iberico, white anchovy toast, rigatoni bolognese and spicy vodka. Honestly, everything we ordered was good. I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu! They have an extensive wine menu and I saw people bring their dogs! I would request the inside table next to the window if you have a larger party! So cute!

Cozy neighborhood vibe. I will definitely come back for the truffle fries ,spicy vodka rigatoni , salami burrata & honey toast, grilled octopus, and Hamachi Crudo! It's just the morning after and I'm already craving. The chicken parm with a side of pesto pasta is huge but not my fave. The steak au poivre was good too. Service was friendly. It was a Friday night and the place was packed with cool LA people. Cant wait to be back for their appetizers and snacks!

Cute little spot in weho. I've been here a couple times cause I crave their spicy rigatoni vodka pasta. Service is always good and they're always friendly, they also have a good selection of wines which is great when everyone wants something different. I loooovee the mussels however I wish they used higher quality seafood. The recipe is amazing but felt not so fresh. I also wanted to note that they do auto grat here 20%. Which is fine I guess, since I normally tip 20% anyway, I just wasn't expecting that for a place like this and was caught off guard. Would def come back next time I'm craving their spicy rigatoni but definitely not in a rush to come back

I think about the spicy vodka pasta from Marvin at least once a day. Sooooooo good highly recommend. Get the bolognese too. And the salami toast and the Italian chopped salad. And a bottle of wine

Overall, food was decent, but not really worth the prices. I enjoyed the jamon iberico as our starter. The veal chop was cooked decently with a nice crust but was underseasoned. Note that the space is cramped, with tables packed close together, and you really have to shout above the music and the surrounding conversations in order to be heard.

The inside is cosy and casual, and it's a bit romantic. There's usually a nice buzz of people in the late afternoon. This intimate bar first opened in West Hollywood in 2013. The entrance is on the side of a beautiful historic Hollywood Spanish Gothic style building on Westbourne Drive, off Santa Monica Boulevard. You could almost miss it from the street as it's kind of hidden which is definitely part of its charm. About a century ago it was a studio for silent film star Charlie Chaplin and later a library for Sherman, which was the name of West Hollywood before it was incorporated. So this is a beautiful and historic location with a fascinating history, V Wine Room serves about 30 different wines by the glass and a large selection by the bottle, mostly small California wineries from the Napa Valley. The menu also features sparkling wines, natural wines and sakes from small Japanese producers. They have food to accompany the drinks as well: delicious Roman-style pizzas, cheese boards and charcuterie, fish and even chocolate. I've always managed to find free parking on side streets just up the street like on West Knoll for a couple hours, but there's also valet parking right in front and a city parking lot about a block west

I didn't make it here until March 2026 and after my first visit, I'm sorry I didn't come earlier. My husband and I came here on a Sunday night, with a last minute reservation I'd made on Resy. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we came in around 5:30ish. A lot of the tables were empty. They had both indoor and outdoor dining available, but the majority of the seats were indoor. The ambiance here is dark and chic, it reminded me very much of restaurants in NYC. It would make for a good spot for a date night or girls' night out. We made it here in time to order one thing from their happy hour menu, the tater tots. These were heavy but moreish, it was hard to stop eating them even when my stomach was telling me I was full. We also shared the corn, which I believe may have been a special/seasonal dish. It will go down as one of the best corn dishes I've ever eaten in a restaurant. My husband got the burger for his main and I got the mussels. The mussels were pretty fresh and silky, and were overall excellent, but I didn't love the broth they came in. My husband's burger was fantastic. It's one of the best burgers I've eaten at a restaurant in LA. Service was lovely and efficient. I'm looking forward to dining here again, and would highly recommend trying it.

My husband has type 1 diabetes so we very rarely eat at Italian ristorantes. Chef Tara has helped us rediscover a new world of flavor without negative impacts on my husband's blood sugar and cholesterol. (Thanks for the variety of non-dairy cheeses!!) Tip for first-timers: go when you can have the brunch or the lunch menu. Then you'll have so many options that you'll have to return! Round 1 Polpettine (meatballs) are made from lentils and texture similar to the real ones; lovely marinara sauce and ground macadamia nut instead of parmesan. Complement this with the citrus notes that highlight the sauteed swiss chard with earthy Italian butter / gigante beans. Round 2 The same beans are in the Greek goddess salad: rich with tomatoes, kalamata olives, and fresh red onions. This was a visually stunning and paired well with the Sicilian almond 'tuna' melt. The tuna is by far the most imaginative. Again, Chef Tara and the back of the house nailed the texture and I loved the hints of crunchy celery. The capers injected tiny bursts of salt and tartness. The only moderation I'd consider is slightly crisping / toasting the sandwich bread -- but the tuna melt sando is great as it is. The wagyu unfortunately had an unpleasant meat smell (maybe not super fresh), and the spicy tuna crispy rice was nothing special - good but only worth ordering if you're really craving it. Our server told us the lemon pasta was very "lemon-forward," but it was not as tangy as I anticipated. If you're on the fence, staff will recommend dishes that pair well with the lemon pasta!
