Was able to snag a later reservation here for my friend and I to check out. Comes complete with no sign and curtains to hide behind. Very 90s of them. The ambiance is very 70s and we really enjoyed the accompanying playlist for the night that matched it. The servers were on top of of everything and very pleasant. The food was good. The pasta dish being the best but wish it had a little more spicyness to it. The expensive peaches with chunks of parm and the eye dropper of balsamic was the real disappointment and a bit ridiculous. The chicken cutlet was superb but get the sauce on the side. It's too salty. It kills the lemon on the cutlet. And dessert was perfect. They are soon to be expanding onto the patio I hear.

This new addition to Silverlake is absolutely chic with a gorgeous ambiance and moody interior. Service was strong from the friendly hostess to the servers. The cocktails were great though the food was a bit forgettable and on the pricey side. Bar Trio - 3 1/2 stars overall. 5 stars for the tasty candied nuts, 4 stars for the house made chips, 2 1/2 stars for the fried olives that didn't taste fresh at all. The presentation was chic though! Penne di Bello - 3 stars. This was quite bland and a bit forgettable. Definitely much better with Parmesan and additional seasoning, though still a bit weak. Lamb Chops - 4 1/2 stars. Best dish of the night. This is a rather small portion for $62, but the 3 lamb chops were cooked perfectly and were delicious. This is served on radicchio panzanella , which was 3 tasty crouton bits atop a basic radicchio base. Assorted cocktails - 4 1/2 stars. They definitely do a dirty martini right and have a great wine selection. Overall, I feel this space is off to a good start and I'd definitely come back for cocktails but may pass on dinner.

A solid experience at this new Italian restaurant in Silverlake. Currently, it operates like a speakassy, so it was tricky to locate since there weren't any signs and the interior was covered by curtains. But that does make the experience super exciting! My two friends and I shared a variety of dishes: -Osso Buco alla Milanese: My favorite dish of the night. The oxtail portion was pretty generous. The meat was mostly tender and had good flavor. Saffron risotto was good too, but I wish there was more. -Neapolitan Gelato: This was good, but I wish the gelato was softer. The cherry topping was delicious though. -Tiramisu: Solid, but way too many chocolate shavings for my liking which overpowered. -Penne di Bello: The al dente texture was good and I loved the sauce which was sharp and rich. A bit pricey for a small portion of pasta though. -Suppli Amatriciana: These were okay. I wasn't the biggest fan of the rice inside which was a bit hard. My favorite part was the shredded pecorino on top of the suppli and the sauce the suppli was sitting on which both added a lot of flavor. -Fritto Misto: My group's least favorite dish. The fried shrimp and calamari were just okay, nothing special. The shrimp heads made up a significant portion of the dish which my group wasn't the biggest fans of. While I have critiques for many of the dishes, everything was generally good and not bad. The interior was nice; great for dates and intimate gatherings. The lighting wasn't ideal for taking pictures, but good as mood lighting. The service here was great and our server was attentive and kind. He explained the specials to us well. For parking, there's a paid lot nearby.

The ambiance is beautiful, smaller restaurant with great esthetic. Staff is very friendly. I went with a couple girlfriend and we started with the focaccia bread each ordered a pasta. The bread was basic, decent focaccia. The pastas were also OK but nothing to write home about. We had the red sauce penne, the pesto and the squash blossom. The cocktails were good. I would go back if I was in the neighborhood for a drink at the bar, which is super small but very cute.

Beautiful restaurant, attentive staff, great lighting! We got the mushroom salad, penne pasta, chicken with a yummy caper sauce & fava beans!!

So thrilled to have this gorgeous addition to the neighborhood! First off the design of the space is STUNNING. The suppli and mushroom salad are a must. Our service was divine. (Shoutout to Jonathan!!) The mandarin basil margarita was perfectly balanced and so refreshing and the little ice cream sandwiches were the perfect light dessert. Very excited to come back and try more things.

The bar itself has a cozy atmosphere, and the photo booths are a great touch. We first ordered drinks from a female bartender who was friendly, professional, and served us quickly. The restrooms were clean and spacious. Having only two stalls for such a busy venue isn't ideal, but it could always be worse. Later, we went back to order another round. An older white bartender wearing glasses started serving us, and while he was preparing our drinks, he was also taking another group's order at the same time. I completely understood that since the bar was very busy. We ordered two Whiskey Sours and one of the bar's signature cucumber cocktails. The Whiskey Sours were served in margarita glasses without ice instead of traditional whiskey glasses. I assumed they had simply run out of the proper glassware because the bar was packed, so we didn't complain. The real problem started when it was time to pay. The bartender placed the payment terminal in front of the other group instead of us, and they accidentally paid for our order. Instead of acknowledging that it was his mistake, he immediately acted as if it was somehow our fault. We tried to resolve the situation calmly and even offered to pay the other group's bill and buy them an extra drink to make up for the price difference (their bill was about $31, while ours was around $45). When it came time for us to pay, I chose not to leave a tip because of the multiple mistakes that had already happened. At that point, the bartender completely lost his temper. In the middle of a packed bar, he raised his voice and started yelling at us, saying it was disrespectful not to tip him. He also complained that we had ordered drinks that weren't on the regular menu and that making them had taken him "so much time." As a bartender myself, I know exactly how long it takes to make a Whiskey Sour, and it's certainly not an unusually time-consuming cocktail. If preparing it had been a problem, he could have simply told us before taking our order. He continued shouting that the bar was extremely busy, called our behavior "disrespectful" and "f***ed up," and finally told us he would never serve us again. We were honestly shocked. This was the first time we've ever experienced someone reacting this aggressively simply because we chose not to leave a tip, especially after such poor service. I've worked in customer service for years, and I always tip when I receive good service. I would have had absolutely no problem leaving a generous tip if our experience had been pleasant. After that confrontation, we no longer felt comfortable staying in the bar, so we left immediately with a very negative impression. Looking back, I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. It seems that many of the negative reviews mention the exact same bartender. A truly disappointing experience.

They found us a seat w/o a proper reservation, and the place was lively. Ordered the hummingbird, which was unexpectedly herbaceous. Tangy with smoky undertones. Refreshing. I quite enjoyed it. The husband got the bellhop, which he said was fine but not mind blowing. We ordered the Chicken liver toast, fried mozzarella, and chicken sandwich hot and spicy. The husband got the mussels. Chicken liver toast was served w mustard seed and berry compote, which highlighted the buttery fatness. The toast wasn't crunchy and a bit difficult to cut, but the pickled vegetables were fantastic. The fried mozzarella was simple and decently executed, somewhat generic and forgettable. Better than standard mozzarella sticks. The fries were crisp and perfectly seasoned. A+. That chicken sandwich was toothsome and juicy. Def worthy of a repeat visit. I'll be thinking abt this sandwich for a while. Of his mussels, the husband appreciated the spicy broth but was underwhelmed by the crusty bread it accompanied. I had a wonderful experience personally, hence the 4 stars, but proceed with caution.
