Daphne was my stylist and absolutely SLAYYYYED my hair. I came to her for a touch up on my peek a boo pink (underneath layer) which also grew out from a year ago. She worked with me to both re-do my peek a boo style and add to it as I wanted more pink. She really created dimensions, and it's like a beautiful balayage look with face framing highlights. I'm so in love with my look! We chose a brighter pink too so that it will fade nicely. She also blended my highlights so beautifully so that it would grow out nicely. She also explains the whole time what she will be doing to your hair so you can even check in along the way if you're that type of client. Daphne is sooo amazing with color and I thought it was a pretty efficient service time and great price (compared to what I normally go through and pay for in SoCal). I have been coming to Arisa for years because it's everything you'd want in a salon and in your stylists! The salon is clean and cozy with a stylish interior aesthetic. They offer you coffee, tea, or water when you arrive so you can feel comfortable and settle in for your service. I have been going to Mel for cut and color for 2 years now and always walk out looking and feeling great! I have also gotten my hair cut by Kat and Leah and they are both wonderful too! Mel is a freaking joy to be around. Super kind, calm, hilarious, and most of all talented. She spends time to make sure she understands what you want and the results are consistently great. I was having a hard time finding someone that did a great job with brunettes and didn't only have examples of brunettes with blonde balayage. She and her partner Katrina decided to take the show on the road and open their own space. So I am hesitant to write this review bc I KNOW their availability is going to book like she booked before....up to 4 months in advance. I went here to get my hair done since it's nearby and have had trouble booking appointments at other salons during COVID, I was unsure of what to expect but was completely blown away! The design of the salon is really unique and aesthetic, and I like that they use Olaplex products. Not to mention the staff is super down to earth and friendly, I was tired/feeling a little off today and they immediately brightened my mood. I came here for three years and was growing my hair out during that time. My blonde highlights had grown out to the ends and was continuously asked if I wanted to get them redone. Thinking Leah understood what I wanted, I did. My highlights came out frosted blonde with tricolor gold strands and was uneven. I came back to fix it and Leah tried toning it but then became a red tone all over that looked brassy quickly. She had mentioned that it looked like some of my hair broke off but I thought it was new growth around my face. Later when I went home, in the next few days I realized that it looked choppy on the top layer, on the sides and in the back. As a result of this chemical cut, I lost three years of growth from 14 inches to 7 inches and was left with a red tone that I didn't want. On curly hair, short and red is not a good look. Best hair cut of my life followed by worst haircut of my life. Kat knows what she's doing and can give the best haircut... when she's paying attention. My second cut was a full 3 inches shorter than what I requested (a lot for someone with already short hair) and completely uneven. This follows being double booked, rescheduling to an inconvenient time, and taking me a full 45m after my appt time. Overall completely scattered & unprofessional. They run a smooth operation. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. I was led to their waiting area(adorable decor ), where I waited for a few minutes for my stylist (Leah). I had booked a balayage hair painting appointment and I could not be more pleased. Leah did an amazing job with my hair I am obsessed with it. I was really excited to try this Salon after reading reviews. The ambiance was great and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I went in for a haircut and asked for layers and texture however, my haircut with Marisol was terrible it was left very choppy and uneven one side was shorter than the other I had to go somewhere else to have it fixed and blended and now my hair is way shorter than what I wanted. I'm usually pretty easygoing and would just let it grow out but my friends said it was hard to miss. read more
