From the moment you arrive at valet parking, you can tell that this whole day was going to be an experience. A very lux environment is exactly I was looking for for Houston TX in the Post Oak Hotel and Bloom & Bee did not disappoint. The gentleman who was waiting my table was Jordan, this guy over exceeded all expectations in reference to customer care. His knowledge of the menu provided me confidence in some of the selections that we made to eat. We enjoyed The avocado toast, salads and some delicious sushi. The ambience was very robust and provided comfort in the colors selected. The theme with the flowers felt very soothing. From my booth actually had a very nice view of the outside pool area. The cabanas and daybeds were set up nicely and the foliage with palm trees made me feel as if I was on an exotic island. I will be back the next time I travel to Houston. read more

It's the most amazing hotel with valet men welcoming you in with a smile. What a lovely experience we had. Wonderful food and service. The atmosphere and decor is to die for, although there isn't lots of seating so I would recommend a reservation. My husband and I stopped by for lunch on our way to downtown Houston. Service was friendly, professional, and fast. We didn't order alcoholic beverages but Pellegrino was available (I'm a Perrier girl but it's all good). We've been here twice now when visiting family who live nearby. It's a really cute little spot, and my daughter loves the ambiance and the fresh floral on each table. Most recently when we went it was really cold outside and I ordered soup & salad and tea service. I don't think it was on the menu, but I got some kind of vanilla oolong tea that was quite good. My tomato soup was good, creamy and rich. My daughter's side of fruit was a really large portion and she seemed to enjoy her cheese pizza. My salad was nothing to note - fairly small portion, ordered with chicken which arrived separately and after the salad. The chicken was over cooked and a bit tough - but it was passable. I would question if the quality matches the price, though. Service was a bit slow - and we tried a sushi roll as our appetizer which was fresh and enjoyed by all. Ambiance of the beautiful hotel and restaurant cannot be beat - and is single-handedly the thing that brought us back. read more

Visited here a couple of weeks ago for an organization's brunch. The interior design of the restaurant and the entire hotel is gorgeous. Aesthetically, there is always something interesting to marvel at. Sitting in the restaurant, just made me feel fancy! I would say the menu selections are a bit eclectic, however, this also means there is a wide enough variety for all parties. The menu ranges from sushi to avocado toast to steak frites. Great food and great ambiance! Can't complain when you have fresh flowers on every table!! We started out with the crab cakes and spicy California roll as appetizers. The crab cakes were amazing and lightly battered so it wasn't too oily or heavy. Then for entrees, we got the salmon dish and turkey club sandwich. My friends said the salmon dish was just ok but my sandwich was amazing! We shared my fries and they were really bomb fries!! The show stealer was the dessert. It really is as pretty as everyone says it is, the hotel and the restaurant. It's a popular venue for bridal and baby showers. You can valet park and get your ticket validated so you pay just $6. I was disappointed that we couldn't order off the breakfast/brunch menu even though we were here at noon, we were told that we could ask but it would be at the discretion of the chef. They said they had other events so they couldn't make any promises. It didn't make sense to me that as a paying customer we wouldn't be able to get what we wanted while it was still brunch time because of an event they were having. Talked to a friend and she said that was odd as she'd been able to do so at 1pm. Anyway, what we did order was good, my only issue was how fishy the crab cake was. It had more of a fish flavor than crab. You should also be prepared to wait, each course took at least 30 minutes to come out. The food is definitely average, hostess service needs work. We had the private room in the back for my sister's birthday. There was about 15 of us. We wanted to check in at 6p because that was time of our reservation. The hostess gave us a hard time about seating us because she said we needed half of the party present which is crazy because 15 is an odd number and we currently had 6 members of our party. The hostess said we needed two more people to arrive in order to be seated smh, ridiculous. Places like these are always strict on certain people. So my mom decided to talk to someone else about us getting seated, we was able to get seated without needing to wait for 2 more people. Ok, so next was the food. I enjoyed the flatbread and truffle fries. My sister was not happy with the lobster because it was over cooked so she had to send it back. I love the atmosphere of this hotel and restaurant. We reserved a month in advance because we knew it was going to get busy for a Saturday afternoon, but surprisingly, it was not packed. The toast was small and of course the dish costs $20. My favorite part of the dish, besides the fries, was honestly the ketchup. It was divine. I think B&B makes it fresh because it was tangy and had a little spice to it. It just tasted heavenly. I also ordered an ice coffee with hazelnut flavor and almond milk. 10/10 coffee. I just wish it came in a bigger cup. We also tried a couple of mocktails. The mocktail I ordered was the Pineapple Mule and it was okay. A little spicy since it has fiery ginger syrup in it. For dessert, I ordered a scoop of chocolate ice cream and it was probably the best scoop of ice cream i have had in awhile. Having met our goal for the year, my very kind manager treated us to lunch at this beautiful restaurant. Located in the lobby of the posh Post Oak Hotel, this place is pink! and feminine to the gills. The chairs were quite comfy & the space itself very airy due to the lovely windows over looking the pool area. Food is plated like art. Service impeccable. For a starter the decision was made to share the Texas Trio which is a very hearty serving of chips, charred poblano queso, guacamole & fire roasted salsa. The app was a hit with everyone at the table & there was plenty to share between the four of us. For lunch I went with the grilled Texas redfish & boy howdy, was I glad I ordered this dish. The redfish was cooked perfectly served with a cured tomato peppadew buerre blanc. OMG this buerre blanc was so delicious with a slight kick at the end. I love peppadew & I was very pleased that it didn't overwhelm this delicate sauce. Rounding out the dish were roasted fingerling potatoes, wild mushrooms, snap peas & haricot verts (fancy term for green beans). For dessert we shared the marguerite which turned out to look like a potted flower (everything on the plate was edible). The pot was filled with dark chocolate mousse, kirsch cream, macerated cherries, cocoa genoise and pistachio sponge cake. The macerated cherries really surprised me & went very well with the mousse. I've been here twice for a business brunch and both times we had to wait 20-40 minutes to be seated in our reserved room past our scheduled time. The first time was because the previous group refused to leave the room and the second time was because the room was not ready. With my first and second experiences being so disappointing, it's hard to imagine that I'd schedule any sort of business events here. I'm not going to takeaway from the fact that this is a beautiful space albeit a bit unprofessional. The food was on point (which could be because I was starving both times) and the servers were sweet. I'm hesitant to recommend this spot for business brunches but I suppose it will be okay to visit the bars that are located there. Parking was easy. You have the option to valet or search for parking within the plaza. I believe valet is $10 and, if I remember correctly, you have to pay cash. After arriving on time on a sleepy Sunday afternoon, and despite having booked several days in advance, we were told that no table was available for us (we were offered an outdoor table, on a humid 100-degree day, which we declined). They have fresh flowers on every table, and every décor detail fits their theme. That being said, their interior design is a lot more impressive than anything else. We also got the Wild Mushroom and Roasted Zucchini Flatbread, which was good, but I wouldn't order it again. The Skuna Bay Salmon was amazing! That was very sweet of them. It was a cool day so the window was cracked. Jarred was our server and he was perfect. He was very attentive and friendly. Service was great. REFRESH- celery, spinach, apple, lemon, and ginger This cold pressed juice was very refreshing and light. I can barely taste the greens, but it was sweet and lemon-y. MONSOON CHAI The chai was aromatic with herbal and spices. It was smooth and light. POST OAK MIGAS- cage free eggs, corn tortillas, pico de gallo, fire roasted tomato salsa, avocado, cilantro crema, cotija, pickled red onion, and corn and black bean salsa My favorite part of this dish was the corn and black bean salsa. The corn was sweet and the bean had a savory flavor, which complemented the migas. The eggs were slightly overcooked so it was dry, but the tomato salsa helped to balance that out a little bit. The flavor combination was good with the saucy salsa, the fresh pico de gallo, the crispy tortillas, the creamy avocado, and the pickled red onion. Overall the dish was okay, nothing spectacular, but okay. SMOKED SALMON BENEDICT- traditional hollandaise, jumbo asparagus, toast, and crispy potato wedges The salmon was smoky, but not overly salty, which went well with the freshness of the asparagus and the crispness of the toast. The potato wedges had a crispy skin and wasn't dry. STRAWBERRY FIELD- fresh strawberries, basil mousseline, cassis sponge cake, red berry jus, and strawberry cotton candy The dessert looked beautiful, but the flavors were nothing grand. The strawberries were sweet and fresh, but the basil mousseline needs some work. The flavor was too light and not as creamy as I would've liked. The sponge cake was tart and airy, but there was only a little bit of it and the dessert could've used more sponge cake and less mousseline. The red berry jus tied everything together and was sweet and tart, but the dessert needed a little more of that too. I could've done without the cotton candy. The flavor was just too much. Loved every aspect of this quaint pink gem! Our waiter, Daniel was very helpful in making great food and beverage suggestions. We were there celebrating my 50th and it was perfect! The lava roll was better than I imagined! After lunch we asked if we could go sit by the pool for a cocktail and were told yes. Sadly, Mackenzie came over after a waiter took our order and informed that since we were not hotel guests, we could not sit out there. There were all of maybe 6 people by the pool and the restaurant has a patio connected to this area. The hotel staff was very rude - I will not hold this against the restaurant (or spa) where between the two (and two of us) spent well over $1,000. However, The Hotel is snobby and has the worst staff and customer service for the level of hotel they are employed by. read more

We decided to sample 3 desserts; the Hive, gingerbread and banana bread pudding, and something (name I cannot remember) Paloma. The Hive was adorable and very tasty if you take a bite combining all ingredients. ? Paloma was delicious! It was both of our favorite. Consisted of a light grapefruit mousse topped with sweet crunchies and a candied agave giving the presentation of eating a little baby succulent. Gingerbread bread pudding was the only warm dessert we sampled. It was also delicious. Tasted like fall and is a perfect dessert on a cool day. I will definitely be going back hopefully many more times. Think this is easily going to be my new favorite girlfriend brunch / dinner location and mother daughter date day spot. For parking, it is easiest to valet. Valet cost only $6 if you are dining in the restaurant. Staff will validate your valet card. There is self parking available, but it is a VERY small section, and when I was there appeared to be blocked off entirely. For valet, just pull straight in front of the hotel. Came here as a party of 4 for my friend birthday on 8/18. We been wanted to try bloom &bee for it esthetic and drinks. Unfortunately we did not have a good time as we expected. We all chose Houston restaurant weeks. While the poke and tomato soup was amazing, our main entree took over 45 mins to arrive . Steak was undercooked and salmon was overcooked. Our reservation was at 8 and by the time we get our food at 9 the restaurant was closing. We felt rushed Bc all the waiters was cleaning out the restaurant. Ladies night out My lady friends and I enjoy a good night out on the town as often as possible. We really had dinner at Bloom and Bee and had a fabulous time.  Parking: Valet was complementary so we tipped nicely and the attendants were very professional and held our hands to help us out of the car, we didn't have to wait long to get our cars at departure which was great given the fact that it was a cold night in H-Town. Setting: the ambiance, decor and color scheme was totally posh. It's quaint and intimate but might be a bit "girlie" for most macho men. Perfect for ladies get together, day or night and it has perfect view of the luxurious pool are at the Post Oak Hotel. Food & Drinks: the menue is not extensive and there are no chef's special, the drink list was limited as well. For appetizers, we had a Salmon roll $ 14.00, tuna poke $ 17.00 and the Brussels sprouts $12.00, that was absolutely yummy. For the mains, we had Skuna Bay salmon $ 31.00, Seafood Cioppino $ 33.00, local natural chicken $ 28.00 ~~~all were delicious, a bit overpriced, but hey, the restaurant is in The Post Oak Hotel, so... Drinks: We had a mix of different drinks, a glass of Domain JJ. Vincent Cremates $ 17.00, Nicolas Perrin Syrah $ 15.00, the Monarch cocktail was $13.00/glass and was on the sweet side, the Crystal Bloom $ 15.00 and Signature Rose' Sangria $15.00. Service: Our primary waitress was Violet and she had a very nice personality and was very instrumental in helping us with recommendations and suggestions as this was our first time at Bloom and Bee.  Overall: We had a fabulous but expensive evening at almost $ 500 for a party of 5. We went there for lunch, ordered 4 dishes, chicken soup, tuna poke, crb cake and poached pear salad with chicken, I thought the server would bring two dishes at the same time but I had my chicken soup first and my husband waited about 10 minutes to get his crab cake so with the rest 2 dishes together. I like the pulled chicken soup, it's light but flavorful with kale, I was not crazy about the Crab Cake but my husband thought was ok, the tuna pokee was ok I wish there would be a little bit more of ingredients to make it more interesting. I got a Mediterranean Grilled cheese the sandwich was soggy and the chunks of feta overpowered the sandwich it was atrocious. The fried Burrata was delicious but I wish it came with more pita chips. The fries were overly salty. The Hive dessert was beautiful but the meringue shell was not sweet and just tasted super eggy. The service was okay but nothing worth bragging about. A few weeks ago my friend had her baby shower here so I was able to experience this lovely place! OMG!! It was beautiful! Valet parking available for a discounted price of $6! (Your waitress stamps your ticket) Bloom and Bees is located inside the The Post Oak Hotel. We had reservations for 2pm for a group of about 20ppl. We were seated and they allowed us to place all of the baby shower gifts in a safe and secure area. The decor, lighting, atmosphere were mesmerizing. Very photograph friendly. Everything from the tables, chairs, dishes, silverware, and napkins were all color coordinated and beautiful. The chef sent out a tomato soup shot for the entire table which was very nice. We ordered off of the Brunch menu. Everyone placed their drink orders mostly coffee, juices, cocktails, and wine. I decided on one of the cold pressed juices: Glow (carrot, orange, and ginger) it was super fresh and delicious! My main dish I ordered the Skuna Bay Salmon. It came with shaves Brussels Sprouts, Caramelized Shallots, Calvados Cherries Celeriac Mousseline, with a Citrus-Mustard Glaze. It was BOMB!!!!!! The staff were the nicest!!
