It's my first time here. The clean, spacious interior has lots of tables, very high ceilings and plenty of windows to let in an abundance of natural light. The guy behind the counter said that the Mother Earth Bowl is the most popular item on the menu but I saw the fruit bowl and chose it, instead. The ambiance is a combination of upbeat and relaxed. I opted for the build your own bowl option and ordered the chicken, red chili glazed sweet potatoes, roasted broccoli and brussel sprouts. My only negative is I wish the options included a sauce. I ended up asking for a blue cheese vinaigrette which was a nice compliment to everything (especially the chicken which was a bit bland). The brussel sprouts had bits of bok choy in it that were crunchy and good. The broccoli could've been a little less charred, but loved the Parmesan it was coated in. The parking is easy and no issue in comparison to other locations. After shopping at gap, I wanted a quick meal. The young lady was pleasant who took my order. I am not a flower child. I suspect my review is biased by my dislike of all things rabbit food (you see, bias) so I added the fourth star to counter my dislike. The lay out is effective and the dining room staff majorly helpful, moving tables to accommodate a large group. The food, however, is just not my thing. Noodles buried in cilantro and various other greens covered with a heavy handed dousing of spice that terrorized my tongue. The sweet potatoes in a chili glaze were well done but again one had to rescue them from the over reliance on greens. And the steak was okay. Evident meats are not their strengths. My friend and I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon after a run at Memorial Park. There was ample parking when we arrived, even though the establishments in the plaza were all busy, Flower Child included. After looking through the menu, we ordered at the counter for dine-in (we opted to sit on the patio). I got the avocado toast, earl grey tea and a veggie bowl. I got the bowl to go but had a few bites while I was there. I will say their portions are very small for the price. I check the menu, created a meal of items I was confident were compliant and the staff (Francisco was the sweetest!) literally opened the cookbook and confirmed all ingredients in the cookbook were compliant. With an incentivizing sign-up bonus ($10 off a $20 order), it was fine timing that I tried a spot that I liken to Sweetgreen or Cava. Using the app, it was easy to place my pick-up order and I was warmly greeted by the young lady at the front kiosk when I arrived. I ordered the Brussels Sprouts & Organic Kale Salad with Grilled Chicken and the Gluten-Free Mac & Cheese. As soon as I opened the mac n'cheese container, I chuckled to myself -- I didn't know it was possible to have an even smaller mac portion than what Panera charges. Tasting-wise, the mac was cheesy enough, but the noodles were a bit hard and lacked any seasoning. The salad itself was a novel try for me (with all of the fruit mixings, balanced by some crunchy almonds, too!). I appreciated the lemon vinaigrette most, though I am not sure the salad itself was worth $16. Nonetheless, Flower Child's IG ad was successful even if I've realized the food isn't quite to my liking. I took my family here last weekend around dinner time. I ordered the Turkey Avocado Cobb Salad. I requested that they remove the onions and Gorgonzola vinaigrette due to food allergies and sensitivities. I substituted the Gorgonzola vinaigrette with the lemon avocado dressing. It was delicious! When my order first came out, I hesitated because it looks like they may have missed my request, but the servers promptly created another salad removing my allergens. My family members ordered The Rebel and customized entrees (protein and 2 sides). Everyone enjoyed their meals and would definitely love to come back. The tea/lemonade station is great - love their options. I enjoyed the passion fruit tea. Service was great! When I placed my order at the counter, the staff was so helpful in walking me through my options. Every staff was helpful and courteous. They have both indoor and patio seating. They have a station where you can grab your own utensils. You order at the counter and it's self seating.
