Love this place! They have so many great flavors of ice cream and build your own fro-yo! For the ice cream also have the option of adding edible cookie dough to it which is so awesome! I was also very excited to find out that they sell cookies. Not the stale crunchy kind... but the warm, moist, gooey kind!! So good! I love their rotating flavors of Dole Whip(Mango, Strawberry, Orange) which change every few months I believe. The workers are also very nice and friendly! There is a few seats inside but most of their tables are outside and shaded. Parking is fairly easy too- street parking or you can park by stater brothers and walk up the street! read more

Even though I live a mere steps away from this ice cream parlor, I have never ventured inside until this weekend. After my mom kept asking me to go with her on an evening stroll for some ice cream down the street, finally caved in and joined her. And I'm sure glad I did! I love their ice cream! I ordered the pink rose (ofc I chose the pink, duh) and my mom had the pistachio saffron. Both flavors were delicious, creamy, and smooth without being too sweet. We will definitely be adding this as a regular tradition of "casual evening stroll that leads to an ice cream parlor". A couple of points, I noticed that they also have a fairly good selection of frozen yogurt machines towards the back. Inside, the lighting is bright and stylish, and the decor definitely gives off a "very fancy middle eastern style banquet hall vibe". I think I'm in love with their ice cream! They didn't have the Superman flavor that I specifically came here for but the other choices did not disappoint. This place is awesome. They have a variety of exotic flavors you won't find at other creameries, and it's evident that the ice cream is fresh, made with quality ingredients. I had actually gone to a different ice cream place that day only to find out they'd changed their hours...and that's how I ended up here...and thank goodness I did! Such a cute shop! The employee was very helpful and kind...but the ice cream...oh my gosh! It was sooo good! I got one scoop of the coffee and one scoop of something with toffee and nuts...not were divine! So creamy they almost had a soft serve texture! He mentioned most of their nice creams are sweetened with honey, and that came through. Super cute and dog friendly spot near Altadena!!! They welcomed my pup and offered some whip cream since they were out of pup ice cream. I love how they have self serve froyo along with ice cream options (I prefer froyo for the macros) My first time there I got the froyo and felt that some of the flavors werent frozen solid enough and sorta melted as it came out. Flavors were solid though! Ice cream that my bf got was pretty good. Overall, love that this place is so close by. I love this place since it's in my neighborhood and I'm all about supporting the businesses here. The original is all the way out in Westwood, so I'm glad they came out the east side for all of us to enjoy. This spot used to be a froyo place, so some of the dispenser machinery is still intact. It's nicely decorated and very inviting, with ample parking in the back and some street parking spots out front. So many flavors to choose from. Very high-quality ingredients and the cream retains its texture even when frozen overnight. My go-to is the 50/50, which is one scoop ice cream and one scoop cookie dough. I usually get the vanilla bean with the chocolate chip cookie dough. Yes, it's a basic combo, but the pair goes well together! Other flavors I've tried: the ube and coconut - not too sweet, just a mild and tasty like it should be; bourbon gingerbread - lots of real doughy gingerbread mixed in with a bourbon and molasses base...lots of swag in this one; and the "Superman," which is like a rainbow sherbert...different than the other flavors if you want to get your tart on. So many other flavors and they usually change it up every week or so. They also offer waffle cones and cookie sandwiches to wrap your ice cream in. A nice discount if you pay cash, too. The young lady helping us was extremely friendly & very knowledgeable on their amazing variety of flavors. We settled on (3) flavors: 1. Chocolate Caramel Brownie: very rich & the chunks of brownie were very satisfying! 2. Maple Glazed Butter Pecan: So good! The maple ice cream & the glazed pecan pieces complimented each other perfectly, highly recommended! 3. Ube & Coconut: Being a huge fan of Ube getting a cup of this was a no brainer. I am so glad we found this gourmet Ice Cream store :) Their Vanilla bean was exquisite, but the Ube Coconut flavor was really special as well. The man running it that day was very enthusiastic and proud of what they make and knowledgeable of what it means to be Premium and the ingredients of their wonderful frozen desserts ! We also tried their frozen Custard. Again, I was pleasantly surprised that the server was able to tell me the differences in Ice cream vrs Frozen custard and he was understandably proud that they use honey instead of sugar in some. Was really craving some custard reminiscent of Rita's Italian Ice. Searched at like 11 pm yesterday and no one was open so tried again today and here this was! Their custard was basically soft serve and didn't satisfy the way that I wanted to, but vanilla was much better than chocolate. Soft serve/froyo/custard is $0.68 an ounce. The worker was very friendly but their card machine was on the fritz so it took a little longer for the transaction to happen than it should've. The ice cream flavors are named and chosen in a way desirable to the hipster population, like Ube Coconut or Sea Salt Caramel. My brother enjoyed the Cookies and Cream flavor; standard, can't go wrong. I drove fifteen minutes to get this custard so it wasn't worth it because my expectations were high, but if you're not too far away this is great and a cute spot to get some ice cream or froyo. It's my Wife and I's first visit here and let me say, this was some of the best ice cream we've had. My Wife wanted some frozen vegan , she got the peanut butter cup in a waffle cone, and I got a double scoop strawberry ice cream in a cup. They both taste amazing! Great price. They have a lot of flavor options available and six flavors of edible cookie dough made in house. Was drawn in by the cookie dough and came for the half and half scoops (half cookie dough half ice cream deal) We got a pint of the birthday cake, a scoop of the coffee ice cream, and a scoop of half and half (got half Oreo cookie dough and half birthday cake). While it has a great taste, you can tell that the texture is slightly different since it doesn't have the milk from normal ice cream. Not bad at all though! My bf pointed out his coffee ice cream was on the icier instead of creamier side, but the flavor was good (and he finished it all). My half and half was a little too sweet, but definitely on me for getting two of the sweetest flavors! Haha. True story: I looked so happy with my ALMOND BRITTLE & MACKINAC ISLAND FUDGE ICE CREAM(10/10) that a couple strolling along the sidewalk asked me what I was eating. Y'all have to try this flavor! I went grocery shopping nearby. I took a walk after and encountered this ice-cream place. It was a warm afternoon, so I thought it did not hurt to give it a try. I came here on a Saturday around 3:00 pm. I was the only customer in there. There were s some patio seatings outside. The inside was bright and clean. There was a self-served water station once you walked in. The frozen yogurt stations were all the way back of the store. You may ask for sample cups for the self-served frozen yogurt. I think there were around 10 different flavors for frozen yogurt. I liked the Dole whip pineapple one, you could not see that very often at a frozen yogurt place. There was a seld-served station for toppings too. For the ice-cream, you have to ask for the staff to serve you. The staff was very patient and nice, she let me tried on different ice-cream. I liked that there were vegan options. Finally, I settled on a two-scoop cup of strawberry and uber/coconut. I liked that they are not too sweet. The strawberry was refreshing, the ube one was flavorful. You could tell they are hand-made but somehow did not give me a "wow" effect (may be it's just me). There were also different flavors of cookie dough but I did not try any of those. I'd say, I will come back if I am in the area again. I was doing a dessert run on a weekend when my sister and I came across Bloomfield Creamery as being a hot and new establishment in the Pasadena area. I'm not a big ice cream fan, but it sounded pretty good - especially with their assortment of offerings. What makes Bloomfield stand out from other ice-cream shops is that they offer not only ice cream, but cookie dough, ice-cream paninis with house made cookies, and self-serve yogurt. I personally am not a fan of cookie dough, but it's nice to have that option if I wanted to be adventurous. A lot of the ice cream flavors are also vegan or gluten-free, making the treat a little sweeter knowing that the ice cream is made from 100% almond milk. I tried several of the ice cream flavors - mocha fudge crunch and the salted caramel with chocolate waffle cone. The mocha fudge crunch was decent, but not tasty enough to want an entire scoop. My sister also wasn't a fan of the crunch bits in that ice cream. She also tried the cookie dough lover as well, but found that flavor to be too sweet for her liking. I asked the workers what they recommended, and one of them said that the salted caramel was her favorite. After trying it, I could see why. Very decadent and flavorful, and the chunks of the chocolate waffle cone added to the overall ice cream flavor. The flavor of the salted caramel wasn't too sweet either. And I'm always a fan of little crunchy bits of waffles in ice cream - kinda like getting an extra waffle cone. My sister ended up ordering the kiddy scoop of that flavor on a sugar cone - size was perfect for her. (Waffle cone is an extra $0.99.) Not too much ice cream that she couldn't finish, and not too little that she still wanted more. Prices are on the more expensive side, and the price jump from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 is 2 dollars, which doesn't really encourage you to get more scoops. Kiddie scoop is $2.90, 1 scoop is $3.95, 2 scoops is $5.95, and 3 scoops is $7.95. Cookie dough is more expensive with prices starting at $4.50. A cookie is $1 by itself, and frozen yogurt is $0.40 per ounce. I was intrigued by their frozen yogurt - especially when I saw that they had Dole Pineapple Whip as a flavor (and it's vegan and gluten-free). They offer sample cups, so make sure to grab a few before getting the yogurt. I also tried the cake batter, which I thought was pretty good but a little too sweet for me. The slightly tangy Dole Whip sorbet was perfect - nice pineapple flavor that I no longer have to crave from Hawaii or Disneyland. They also have a pretty extensive toppings bar for the frozen yogurt - fruit, candy, cookie bits, etc. Storefront is nice and clean - longer in length than width. There are several tables inside (with a water station as well) and outside. Workers were really friendly and helpful. They also have a rewards program - not sure if it's for yogurt only or all of their products. tl;dr - A very cute new ice cream storefront to pop up in Pasadena. With their assortment of treats, as well as coffee, tea, and milkshakes and paninis and ice cream sandwiches, I hope Bloomfield does well! They're located close to Carmela Ice Cream shop, and I can see Bloomfield giving Carmela some competition.
