This is a massive outlet store spanning over three floors. Most of the store is filled with apparel items for men and women. In the lower floor, are the men's products and clearance sections. Main floor has home goods, sunglasses, watches, purses in limited quantity, also lots of women's apparels. Second floor has dresses and shoes. The store was mostly tidy. Walking thru the cramped aisles was little tough. There were only two fitting rooms from what I heard the staff saying . The Clearance sections had sale items up to 80%. I liked a $49 Scotch & Soda t-shirt tagged for only $7. The deal made my day. Checkout process was quick. I got to use my Bloomingdale's cash rewards for the purchase. The Bloomingdale's outlet is located by Broadway and 72nd st. It's about 10mins walk from Central Park. Inside is compacted. Many racks and sections for men's women's clothings, bags, accessories etc. 3-4 fitting rooms for women. They definitely need more fitting rooms. The staff were very nice. I couldn't find my size so the staff took it off the mannequin for me. She did mention it was a popular sell and whatever they have left were all on display. Also the fitting room staff was patient and friendly. She gave advice to other customers as well. Great price value in this store. All the items have some sort of discount. But when it's on the sale rack, usually it's the largest size available. read more

Oh my God--I shop at this store often, but today the lady working in the basement really outdid herself! First, she complained that nobody ever helps her, that she works too much, and that she isn't getting paid enough. Then she walked right up to me and, with a completely brazen attitude, started being pushy, asking if I needed any help. I told her I was fine and just browsing, but a moment later--after a single pair of $15 shorts fell to the floor (which I immediately picked up and re-hung)--she started screaming like a maniac! Honestly, the place is such a total dump that whether the clothes are on the floor or on a hanger, the store is a complete disaster regardless! Later, I went to the checkout, and another employee was coughing so violently that I thought she was going to croak right there before she could even ring me up--I was practically expecting a funeral to break out! Don't even ask what kind of "store" this Bloomingdale's Outlet is! And the absolute riff-raff you find in there--people who have clearly never in their lives set foot in a *real* Bloomingdale's store! It's not even worth talking about! read more

Customer service is nonexistent. They are rude and obnoxious. You work at an OUTLET if you didn't notice. A Bloomingdale's Outlet for that matter. The prices are ridiculous. The clothes are great if you are over 50. The store is cluttered and you have to dig for Items that they want you to pay $100 & up for. They had a Giants long sleeve T for $40. This is a very crowded store, both with people and clothes/accessories. While they had a few pieces of Theory, which I love, I didn't find anything. This was my first visit to the outlet. When I was young, growing up in the city, Bloomingdale's was one of my favorite stores. So FUN to shop there! The outlet doesn't have the same vibe at all. Clothes are crammed on racks, purses jumbled (probably by shoppers), overall impression is messy. Not everything has a price tag. There are some good things, prices aren't fantastic. Think roughly 50% off retail in most cases, sometimes more, sometimes less. So not bad, but not GREAT. I'll give it another try on another day. I walked in here and was so shocked when I saw the prices. Why does shopping at the actual Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Saks, Bergdorf Goodman and waiting for a sale feel more affordable than actually shopping here? When I came here, I felt that things were expensive. Either colorway was like an abstract/strange colors or the pieces were leftovers. Found some Isabel Marant Etoile, Zadig and Voltaire, Tory Burch, some designer belts and bags. Nothing felt of quality and not sure if its because they are carrying the leftovers or if its the way the store is. So I actually calculate prices and see what is affordable and dont like prejudices or marketing change my view. Prices are very similar to department stores. Only way to get a deal here if is the item is marked with another set of discounts otherwise it isnt worth. Coming in and seeing everything, my body already had qualms about the items here and it instantly confirmed my suspicions when I walked the entire store. Also, the store is really really hot. After a long phone call to customer service she solved the problem for me and gave me a store credit. I had really great luck in the shoe department. I rarely spend more than $60 on a pair. I found some wonderful dressy clogs perfect for Summer here. Lots of sneakers like I like in platforms. Cheap. I've shopped here a bunch of times before since i live in the area, selection isn't great for men but i like the sunglasses and wallets. I had a trash experience today lol I stopped by and was browsing sunglasses and maybe some clothes for an upcoming trip. I saw a YSL wallet that i wanted to buy a few years ago but didn't need it since i had already had a YSL wallet for years that was still in good shape. This younger and rounder European male attendant comes over and helps me out after seeing me standing for a few minutes. I ask him for the price of the wallet in the stand and he says straight up "DO YOU PLAN ON PURCHASING IT?!!" i said maybe i just want to know the price and he said $600 and walks away. He comes back immediately and starts showing me another wallet instead and is bragging about how it's $150 and is basically not allowing me to see the wallet i originally wanted to see. I grab the wallet and look at the tag myself and it's not $600 it's $399 which is a significant difference. I'm looking at the other ysl wallets and comparing the size to my current one and seeing which i should get and he starts questioning me about what good quality is and what i think is the wallet i would recommend to a customer and the whole interaction was just so pretentious! As if he's judging my knowledge and opinions on my personal taste. The whole interaction also just made me feel poor because he kept making it seem like i could not afford the wallet i originally wanted. It was so weird i didn't even want to buy anything i just had to walk out. Besides this experience I've been a few times and will still stop by probably because of its proximity. Service is usually slow but i don't mind, everyones usually busy but will gladly help if you ask. Really lack luster selection, nordstroms up by Columbus circle will be your best best for finding some high end items on sale. read more

The selection is bad. There are very few reputable designers that would actually be carried in their department store downtown. The staff is rude, and absolutely not any of the staff in the main department store. Crowds were poorly managed and the place was an absolute wreck. I came here on a Sunday at about 12:15pm. Not many people, so it's a decent time to shop. Sunglasses are by the entrance. More expensive sunglasses than Nordstrom Rack. They have brands like Ray-Bans, Prada, Chloe, Marc Jacobs. Shoes are on the upper level. If you're a women's size 5 or smaller, they don't have many small shoe sizes, so don't come here. Nordstrom Rack is better for small shoe sizes. 40 Carrots is also on the upper level. It's tiny, but they do have a few flavors of their famous frozen yogurt. Ground floor has women's clothing. They have typical discount brands like Theory, Eileen fisher, BCBG Maxazria, Alice + Olivia, Free People. For a discount outlet store, they have an impressive section of fur coats. Maybe it's the time of year as well. Mid September. Lots of regular winter coats as well. The lower level has menswear, men's shoes, kids wear, kids shoes, and restrooms. read more

This is a new, neat, clean location OUTLET store on UWS. I found the merchandise less appealing that Bloomingdales. I found it hard to believe it is the same quality. They have a lot of the familiar names. We were not particularly welcomed when the doors opened. One of the customers said Good Morning. I felt like we barely got a grunt in return. Once inside I was greeted warmly by the floor sales representatives. One young lady was articulately helpful. They have 40 Carrots upstairs. The Brown Bags are for sale here. It's the Bloomie's look!! I stayed away from upstairs this time! I may pop in from time to time when I'm in the neighborhood. This visit I did not see anything that knocked my socks off!! read more

I had a great shopping experience here! Although, at first, I did walk into an argument between a shopper and a cashier. The cashier was rolling his eyes while a woman asked him not to be rude to her. A bit uncomfortable of a start, but I came up on this cute Parisian journal for $3.99 and this little candle (that's frankly to small to fully scent any room in my big apartment). The store is pretty disheveled from presumably frantic shoppers, but I don't mind. It's part of the treasure hunt, right? It's nice but also annoying when you walk into a store to just to kill time, and the store ends up being so good that you just have to take a little of this or a little of that home. That was my experience here. I did notice that customers are treated like a nuisance when they ask for help, and followed around the store like potential theives, which may be a problem here (I wouldn't know). But if you're focused on the treasure hunt and keep to yourself, then its all good. read more

I could not be more livid with the employees of this store right now. In my first shopping trip since Covid, I spent a rare 2 hours off of work sifting through (mostly) crap in this store. Finding 12 items to try, I was allowed to take 6 in at a time and was assured the other 6 would be there when I was ready. Well, they were not and nobody knew where they went. If Ann working the dressing room area weren't so busy on her phone and anyone at this store cared, this would not have happened. All they could do was offer to walk around the store with me again to find these items. But I now have to go to work. What a waste of time and space. So frustrated. read more

Quite literally the worst experience shopping for apparel in the whole city. The team here will downright ignore you the entire time you're browsing. No hello, no offer of any kind of assistance. Sure, you expect that when in an outlet and come prepared to fend for yourself. The real kicker is, 10 minutes before closing, they lock all fitting rooms and refuse to let customers try anything on. When I asked how a customer was supposed to buy anything without fitting room access they just offer a blank stare and say "well we opened at 10am you should have been here then." Real nice approach to treating their working customers with respect. Will never return, I know that for certain. No (semi) good deal is worth that level of attitude. read more

It's a shame about this store. The store itself is pretty good. As with all outlets, you might not find something on a given day, but when you do, there are some great deals here on brands that I like. The nightmare begins if you need to try something on. There are only a couple of fitting rooms and the line quickly becomes super long. It moves incredibly slowly and is overseen by grumpy attendants. Several times I have just given up midway through the line and left (including this week, which reminded me to write this review). Please, store managers, add a few more fitting rooms! My experience at The Outlet Store did not meet the company's standards. I spoke to Betty, an associate, who refused to retrieve a shoe for me. I specifically asked for the style and she entered the SKU number in the POS system and replied that the store has it in the inventory. She then told me that she has no plans to search for the item. I asked for her manager and she refused to direct me to said person. I really wanted the shoes and decided to contact another Bloomingdale's The Outlet Store. The team at Dallas Park Lane assisted me with a few stores that have the shoe in their inventory. As a sales manager, I believe Betty should be trained on productivity, development and customer service etiquette. I have invested in the Bloomingdale's business and would like to receive the same culture during each shopping experience. read more

Nice outlet shop at upper west side, they have a LOT of selections on brands with low price. Their brand name shoes price are reasonable, usually 50-80% off from original price. Nice location so no worries to find parking around there. read more

I love Bloomingdale's. I don't love the Bloomingdale's outlet. This store reminds me of a really bad Century 21 (UWS). Clearly the left overs from several seasons ago. They do have a fair assortment of designer bags and jewelry but nothing that jumps out and says "Buy Me!" It is also on multiple levels and not laid out in any organized fashion. **THIS IS AN OUTLET STORE, not a regular retail store.** I went on opening day in the afternoon and was surprised there was a line outside. Since I was already there, I waited and the line moved fairly quickly. I appreciated that they controlled the number of people inside because it would have been too crowded otherwise. The racks are close together and I felt like I had to squeeze by people to walk through, so more people would have been unpleasant. For an outlet store, I was glad to see a number of items that I would buy such as jeans & hosiery. It's a good place to buy basics. Prices are marked down a good amount. They also have designer labels where you might get a good find. Often outlet stores sell items that didn't sell well due to design, color, or slight imperfections that I still would not buy. But here, not all items fall in those categories. I'm guessing some of it comes from overstock or didn't sell due to regular price. On the downside, there are only a few fitting rooms so lines were long on opening day. On the plus side, there's Forty Carrots frozen yogurt on the 2nd floor! (No seating though.) And it's an outlet store in Manhattan. read more

It's a small space so I understand cramping as many racks in as possible. But when it is busy, it becomes impossible to move around. I'll blame corporate for that though. The staff, however? Rough. Every single trip I have made to this store I have had a complaint. For every associate that is helpful, there is one that is rude. I was there for the opening. Very enegeretic and helpful sales staff cheering on the first customers. There are some spiffy designer duds here and the store is right on the corner of West 72nd and Broadway. The retail space on the UWS is small in general with multiple levels like this store. It is the customer brand on the UWS that I am not a fan of- pushy. That being said when I left a half hour later there was a line outside to come in.
