Horrible customer service. Tried ordering online, like I usually do, but they were having website difficulties. I tried live chat and they couldn't help me, so I had to call and speak with someone. I wasted 1 1/2 hours of my time tried to finalize the order, only to be told that I had to pay $8 for shipping even though I get free shipping. They wanted me to email a screenshot showing the free shipping. Can't they look this info. up under my account. Or, how about giving me $8 for shipping since I wasted all this time. It's been years since I have been to Express. Back in the years of 2005-2010, I used to buy a lot of my work shirts here, but the quality of the shirts were bad, the collar would get destroyed after just a couple wears, and I decided to stop shopping with Express. They keep sending me coupons, and since I'm in the office again, for a couple days per week and sadly I put on a million pounds being home, I decided to see what pants they had. The store is three levels, but the store was mostly empty. Much to my surprise, this seems to be the only store left in the city. I made my way upstairs to third floor, which is for mens clothing. I found an employee because I wanted to see a specific pair of pants but it didn't seem like she understand me, initially. We worked through the kinks and brought me to what I asked for. They looked awful, in person, so I decided to look for something different. The majority of their pants are grossly overpriced or didn't have a great color scheme. I ultimately found two pair of pairs, one of those aforementioned grossly over-priced ones and another that was on sale for $50. Unfortunately, I was informed I couldn't use the coupon because one of the pants one of the pants were on sale. I just decided to quickly look for another pair of pants that were on sale instead of paying !140 for a low quality pair of pants. Ultimately, I did get two pair of pants, neither of the ones I originally came for. Overall, I think this place will eventually close down because the store was empty, not many staffers either, their price points are way too high, and they don't have a quality product. I know my review comes off really negative but one positive was the two staff members I did deal with were friendly and helpful. read more

We stopped by here really late one evening and I was really impressed. The employees treat their customers really well and are extremely helpful. The service we received was 5-stars. This is a huge location and really fun to walk around. I found a bunch of sweaters and tried them on. Unfortunately, my favourite sweater was only available in a size too big or one too small. I attempted to make a return of an item I purchased online due to a sizing issue. I had placed an order for a size small because this has always been my size, but for some reason it was too small for my bust size. I explained to them that I had attempted to make an exchange of this item twice without success and that this would be my 3rd attempt. The 1stattempt was at the 34th herald location however due to covid I realized once I got there the location was closed. My 2nd attempt was at a location closer to me in NJ. Despite making sure that this location was open and operating when I got there the store was closed. I tried calling them and waited for an hour past their posted opening hours but they stay closed. My final attempt was at this store today and it made me wonder why the company had not done anything to accommodate its consumers to offering free returns adjusting to this pandemic. The associates alike showed no sympathy of the trouble I went through to exchange this one item for a bigger size and would not exchange it claiming it was past the return window. I would have been would happy with a store credit but they did not even offer me that as an option. To my surprise, they were just unaccommodating, rude, and had a very hostile attitude. I'm in my mid 30s as started to address to me as "my love" like I was her daughter. She was very unprofessional. The negative experience left such a bad taste in my mouth that I didn't even want to use more of my time and energy at a company with associates that just didn't seem to value or appreciate my business. All I recall is what the associate looked like. She was a heavier set young Latina-looking lady with big eyes and long braids. I attempted to give customer service a call about my experience at the store but they were the same deal. Despite explaining all the trouble, I went through they were trying to bargain with me to give me a discounted store credit. I honestly at this point felt like I was being robbed. The customer service representative told me although the item I had attempted to exchange was worth $25 they would offer me $15 for all the trouble I went through and that it was enough to accommodate my troubles. How does this even make any sense? I offered to even return the item for a full refund on the unworn item with tags still attached via mail and I was refused. Pretty much at the end of the day, they left me with 1 option which is to repurchase the same item in my correct size but at its regular price. I will no longer be a customer of this brand with such unreasonable accommodations and to a company that only focuses on being in the business of making money. I don't usually write reviews of clothing stores, but there was an associate at this store today who was great. I wish I got her name, but she was working at the second floor register in a white top with her hair in a bun. There was a shirt I wanted to buy but the one they had in stock had a small stain on it. She was quickly able to find the shirt in the online system and arrange to have it shipped not just to the store but to my home. I had a similar request at a different store a few years ago, and the associate acted like I was a terrible person for asking if they could find an item without a stain, so I really appreciate how helpful she was. read more

They have a great variety of colors and style combinations. I frequent the Men's section often. The selection in the Men department seem to very stylish. The customer service is excellent and very courteous. They help you find things and color combos you are looking for. Not the quality of the cloths do not match the cost. Express is very expensive. The trick is to find the deals and sales. Become a member and receive the coupons & deals. read more

I was in a bind. Meeting at NASDAQ and no tie so the concierge at the Crowne Plaza mentioned this location was 2 blocks away and it was easy to find, very good customer service with someone helping me select a tie as well as reminding me there was a 2 for 1 sale promotion. read more

Terrible customer service. Mens and womens clothing, really? Wanted to return pants purchased in their Miami store. I tried to send back but they require you to return items at a store location. Not so great if you're a CPA in a small town in Utah. Now Peter, he says he's the manager, sounded like a robot. Its over 60 days, no cash refund with receipt, no store credit, blah, blah, blah. I really enjoy shopping at Express. The clothes are chic and the jeans fit me beautifully although they can get pretty pricey. I was hoping to have a better experience at this Express store considering it has 3 floors; 2 out of 3 being the women's floor. The cashwrap where the cashiers were on the second floor was extremely messy. As a former Cash Wrap Supervisor, it is an eye sore to see such a messy cashwrap, especially when there are 4-5 cashiers present. Express, it actually might be worth your while to invest in a Cash Wrap Supervisor. They truly come in handy and are the MVPs of consumer experience. Since the pandemic, most of my shopping has been online. I try to avoid people since most are crazy but I do shop in store here and there. I was interested in doing an exchange (return of an online item for a purchase of a store item). It would of been nice if the cashier acknowledged me. The positive was the signage was great. I definitely knew the jeans were buy a jean and get a second pair for 50% off. Visuals team, you earned your paycheck for the week. I will continue to shop online with Express. read more

This Express is now officially my favorite store! Came here to pickup white shorts that another Express put on hold for me and I ended up buying more than I anticipated but super happy with all of my purchase splurge. I come from a retail background of 10+ years and the customer service here is exceptional! All the employees from greeter, associates and management were pleasant, friendly, engaging and super helpful! They were genuine and just awesome. Shopping can be stressful after a long day but they made my experience a great one. Store is in Excellent condition. Organized, sized and shop-able. read more

This is by far the best and biggest Express store I've been to. It's three floors and huge! It opened today and I headed in to it on my way home from work. There are two levels of women's clothing and three levels altogether. The sales associates were extremely friendly and my favorite part was that there was lot's of space! Lot's of space does equal more selection. I could definitely see myself spending a lot of time in here. The only con I could think of with this store is that there were no markdowns. I think it must because this store just opened. I'm sure there will be marked down items after some time. read more

This place is huge! And I am very impressed they are open til 1am! I was on vacay to NYC from Los Angeles, and being a woman I couldn't resist a sale so I decided to stroll on in for their last day of their Labor Day sale. I bought 2 pairs of jeans in washes they don't have in LA. I didn't bother trying them on since I know my size, so I paid and left. The next day, i decided I needed to exchange them for a smaller size (yay!) and when I went in, I couldn't find the exact color. Or at least I thought I didn't. Instead, the most helpful, sweet saleswoman helped me out and made me realize that it's not the sku number but I needed to match the style and color number (durrr), which they did! ONLINE ORDER: Paid for Overnight shipping on sunday (12/18/2016) and have not received the order today. Should not offer overnight shipping if you are actually not providing it!!! Called customer service and requested to cancel order since person receiving the package will leave the country tomorrow and won't be able to receive it anymore (besides the fact that order was requested to be sent to a hotel).... and they said that there's nothing they can do. That if I want the refund someone should return the package to a store or by mail. There's no one to send back the package. It's a hotel! Order has not even left UPS office until now (just checked). I was in town for work and really needed to buy a dress for the evening. This location was the closest to me, so I walked in right when it opened despite some of the negative reviews on here. I'm so glad I did! Each employee I encountered greeted me and/or offered to help. Variety was great and even though I came in for one dress, I ended up buying two! Flatiron's Express is decent but I love the Times Square Express much much better. Lots of choices to choose from a couple floors. Nice service and decent shoes too. The most organized Express there ever was! I love how they always have what I want in stock. If it's not out on the floor, definitely see if they have it out back. The dressing rooms are clean, and the employees are very willing to help. Four employees asked if I needed a certain size or was looking for something in particular as I was browsing for this one specific summer dress that was sold out at Roosevelt Field Mall. They have a great selection, but not great people working there. I saw a rack of dress pants on clearance with a sign that clearly says they are $17.99. Which are the cheapest I've ever seen express put them. So I find one pair that fit me and go to buy it. The cashier rings it up and the system shows that they are actually $29.99. But then I told her that all ur dress pants are on the rack for $17.99. She brings the manager and he says they are $29.99. I'm not sure why they have a sign that says a different price. I got fed up because they wouldn't honor their posted prices for the pants on that rack. read more

Three floors of non stop shopping for ladies and men. Many different varieties of styles and fashions. Very organized and most workers process great customer service skills. Escalators amd elevators are convinietly placed for all shoppers especially if you are tired of walking. Couches are also included on every floor if you just need rest. read more

I'm sorry but WTF is it with these businesses where you spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars not having a restroom for customers!? I mean it's not as if they don't HAVE restrooms - obviously the employees go. You spend time there trying things on, and not having a restroom is ridiculous, and seems to reflect comtempt for the customers who support your business. This is just plain mean-spirited, short-sighted and totally unnecessary as a policy, and I will make every effort to avoid purchasing anything at any Express store.
