This place is absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I went last night for the second time, and honestly, it's just incredible. I'm Korean, and my boyfriend isn't--he's Muslim and eats halal. I love Korean fried chicken, and it means a lot to me to be able to share my cultural food with him. This spot makes that possible, and it honestly makes the experience so special for us. My boyfriend absolutely loves this place. The food quality is so fresh, and the owner is incredibly kind. You can really tell he cares about the food and the experience he's creating. We could've talked to him forever--he was telling us about his journey opening the restaurant, and it was so inspiring. Overall, this place is a 10 out of 10. Highly, highly recommend. read more

Good halal food option in the area. I ordered a Korean Fried Chicken - Sweet & Spicy Bowl with rice and Korean Kimchi. I had also asked if I could order a side of Korean Fried Chicken - Original to try. The chicken and rice were both good. The chicken had a nice crispy exterior and flavorful sauce. The rice was well cooked. The kimchi was nice and crunchy but the flavor was just okay for my liking. I would have liked to have seen a bit more attention to detail with regard to my order. A couple things: I was given the option of either chopsticks or a fork and stated I wanted chopsticks and was instead given a fork/knife/spoon/napkin set. And I had also asked if I could order a side of Korean Fried Chicken - Original to try (which I was willing to and would've been happy to pay for) and instead was offered it as a sample. Which I was like okay, that's kind of what I wanted anyway - a sample or small portion. And I didn't receive it. Neither of these points are reasons for me to not want to go back but I had to mention it because it was my first time there (and the owner or staff member I interacted with seemed to be aware of that since they asked how I heard of this place) and it was also not busy. There was not a single other customer in sight (okay, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they were busy with online/phone pick-up orders?). But given that there were no other customers present makes feel like there was no reason on part of the owner or staff member to overlook these things. I also could've addressed these things after I received my order since although I ordered to go I ate a bit there but alas my social anxiety got the best of me. Overall, the food was good. And I would come back to try other things on the menu and also recommend to others to try because it's halal and Korean (a combination that's hard to come by) so definitely worth it for that reason alone. read more

This little hole in the wall spot was a random decision we made one night to try new locations. They specialize in chicken, which is breaded and crispy in the best way. They have four different flavors to try from, we ordered two of the four and they included some extra pieces of the remaining two for us to sample once we received our food! While I cannot recall which of the 4 we tried, I have to admit they were all delicious. Even the chicken with out any sauce was incredible! We returned a second time to try their steak burgers and those were incredible. The meat was thinly sliced and marinated well, the buns were soft and fluffy. While there is no indoor area to sit, they have a lovely outside seating and it is decorated very nicely. The staff is also so nice and welcoming, we were greeted by the same person each time and they completed the experience. Will definitely return to try the remaining items on their menu. read more

I love that LA finally has some sort of Halal Korean food representation. It was my first time trying Authentic Korean and so I went with my Korean best friend and we ended up ordering the Bulgogi Bowl and chicken (sweet and spicy and honey butter tenders) I can safely say 11/10. I also appreciated Asim for telling my best friend the most budget friendly option/combo and said he only said that because they operate in a Halal (ethical) manner. Was in Los Angeles and decided to stop by here at Blossom bites to try some Korean food. We ordered the sweet and spicy chicken, honey chicken, and the original cheek. With fries for one side and the other two sides were rice. Really delicious and flavorful with a nice crunch to it. The service was amazing as the owner came out and we had a nice conversation as the food was being prepared. As for the ambience there is some nice seating outside. I highly recommend this place if you want to try some Korean food in LA. read more

My friends and I came to try this for Iftar and we ordered one of each flavor. Everyone loved their meal and loved their flavor! The sweet and spicy is definitely savory, not too sweet. It reminded me of a buffalo sauce flavor. The soy garlic tasted exactly how it sounds. And the honey butter was my personal favorite! The portions were very decent and we were all full before we could finish our bowls. The French fries were VERY good too! Perfectly crunchy and piping hot and delicious when mixed with the sauce. Lastly we tried the Burmese tea/coffee drink and it was SO good. I would come back just to get a cup of the tea. A mix between milk tea and chai, it was perfectly smooth and sweet (but not too sweet). The owners are incredibly sweet and generous. The burgers tasted like something you would make at home. They were quite messy to eat, with shredded lettuce and sauce dripping down, making the overall experience a bit cumbersome. The soy garlic chicken, although better, was not exceptional. It was heavily bathed in sesame seeds, which added a nice touch but didn't make the dish particularly standout. On the positive side, I'm very happy they are Halal, which is important to me. Overall, the food was just okay. I was super excited about this place. Halal Korean!? Yes, please. Alas, I was highly let down. The chicken was not crispy. It was instead burnt and not flavorful. We asked for the honey butter and sweet and spicy on the side instead of on the chicken so we could have it at home without it being soggy. They instead gave us the soy sauce one that did not taste very good. It had a very pungent taste and I usually like most Korean flavor profiles. The sweet and spicy tasted more like American buffalo sauce or something. The sauces I could have let go, but that horrible batter and burnt chicken? I had a bit of a mix up in my order but the owners resolved it as soon as they could. I really enjoyed my soy+ginger wings. They were exactly what I wanted on a Friday evening. We visited this restaurant because we were looking for halal food during our visit to LA. We absolutely LOVED the food - the chicken was nice and crispy and the sauces were very flavourful and unique. The portion size was also quite generous - just the 8 pcs were quite sizeable and perfect for us. The owner was so so nice - he chatted with us, shared their story, and told us all about the menu as we decided which flavour to get. I really enjoyed all the flavours we tried with the soy garlic being my favourite and the honey butter my husbands. The sweet and spicy flavour had the perfect hint of gochujang (which they also make in house!!) while the honey butter had a nice buttery scent and flavour. The fries were also fried super well, crispy, and seasoned nicely - not like many other places. We really enjoyed our visit and would love to come back next time we're in LA. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place!! This is a relatively new and small business and I really hope to see them do well!! read more
