I started with a regular bowl, with the base as white rice and noodles. I chose for my protein the bbq beef. I chose zucchini and mushrooms and broccoli as my veggies. I pilled on the toppings with corn, cheese, tomatoes cucumbers and guacamole. And lastly hot sauce with sesame seeds. It was a bit on the pricey side; paid almost $20. The lady who helped me with my order was very friendly and explained everything very well. But it filled me up, portions are big, and had good taste. If you're in the mall and craving korean food, definitely check out this spot! They don't have any seats located inside their place, so you will have to find an open seat in the food court. I went up and I was the only customer at the time and there was a guy whose name is Freddy S according to my receipt and a girl whose name I didn't get and they both looked at me like deciding who was gonna help me but I could tell that none of them wanted to help me so then the guy finally helped me but the whole time he had attitude and was dismissive towards me and when it was time to check out, he just charged me without saying a word, didn't even tell me the total and then just like basically threw my bag and my soda at me just slid it across the table where the cashier desk is and he didn't even tell me thank you or have a nice day or anything and just proceeded to go help the next person who showed up minutes after me so I probably won't be coming back just because of the service and how terrible it was. I'm running errands in the mall and my stomach is grumbling. My heart sinks at the thought of going to another food court mainstay. But then On+ On Kitchen catches my eye. Korean bowls? Build your own with fresh ingredients? This I have to try. The printed menu was a little overwhelming, so I just chatted to the friendly woman behind the counter. She walked me through building my own bowl and was happy to answer my questions about the ingredients. Making a bowl for my 4-year-old, she kindly offered a smaller sized bowl when I was about to purchase a large one (not knowing there was a mini) She warned us the kimchi rice and pork might be a little spicy, She was happy to give him all the toppings he wanted and accommodate a four-year-old and his indecision. Here's the breakdown of what we had: Buckwheat noodles- I never even got to try them, but my son gobbled them up! That is a thumbs up in itself. Shrimp and pork meatballs - crisp on the outside but you see on the inside. Another kid favorite Brussel sprouts - perfectly crispy and juicy without delicious flavor. Would bring shame to any Gastro pub appetizer. Broccoli and mushrooms - Crispy and perfectly steamed. Large fresh mushrooms. A wonderful choice. Sweet potatoes - The one thing my husband did not enjoy. He said it wasn't the potatoes themselves he just decided he was not in the mood. Will have to try them again next time. Spicy pork - delightful! It was not spicy by my barometer, but I could see how some might consider it to be. I found it to be flavorful and tasty. Making tender with no tough bits. And the servings or so generous! Kimchi rice - Tasty, but got to be a little too salty as a base for all the other things. I think I would like it as a side with something, but not as the base of a bowl. The rice was not as flavorful as I expected, but still had a nice kimchi essence. Pickled radishes - The perfect crisp, cold, vinegary topping to all the warm salty fillings. Hot sauce - Who are a sweet chili sauce in my opinion. I was disappointed by this. I expected it to be more of a gochujang since it's a Korean restaurant. It would be nice if they offered that. Cilantro sauce - light and creamy. A nice topping. Especially if you get the salad base. Toppings - you should definitely try the seaweed, sesame-seed, and shallot topping. They had delightful crunch and extra burst of flavor. Overall a great option for an on the go healthier meal. You'll avoid a lot of the greasy calories, but still have a very flavorful meal (even if you don't get the Korean flavored things). The portions are huge, I got two meals out of a regular bowl, so I'll probably get a small next time. The only things I would change would be the addition of gochujang sauce and some actual kimchi, not just kimchi flavored rice. Give it a try! read more

My bowl today was kimchee fried rice, grilled salmon, shrimp/pork balls, sautéed brussell sprouts, kale, carrots, pickled daikon, cucumbers, picked onions, fried shallots, sesame seeds, toasted seaweed, nori dressing and sesame oil. I drizzled my bowl with sriracha. Fyi, they dont have korean bbq sauce or korean hot sauce. The bowl was full of nutritious, colorful, tasty, high fiber food with some fresh and bright veggies. The price is great for the value. Anyday this bowl can be 2 or 3 meals for me. The sesame donuts are soft sweet, rice flour mochi with red bean filling. They're fried and they just melt in your mouth and are addictive! But the food was surprisingly beyond my expectation. Unlike other Asian rice bowls generally full of rice with insufficient amount of veggie/protein, they put more protein and fresh veggies, making it much more healthier! Besides, I never thought some of Mexican ingredients such as guacamole and hot sauce can be perfectly harmonized with Korean style rice bowl (a.k.a. Bibimbop), making a categorically creative and mouth-watering Korean rice bowl. I can say without any hesitation that their foods are pushing the envelope of fusion Korean foods. However, because the location of ON+ON I visited last time was quite far from my place, I couldn't taste it again since the pandemic. But then I became to know that ON+ON newly opened their branch at Westfield mall, and dropped by it today to buy some meals for myself and my family.
