I called Lori at 4:05 PM and asked her whether she had corsages and boutonnières that I could pick up today. She answered honestly that while she could make them for me, they may not turn out that great because she didn't have the best flowers for them. We ordered flowers for my 98year old aunts funeral. We ordered them online with a specific request to have a ribbon that says great aunt. The flowers were great, but the ribbon with the sharpie marker done by a 7 year old was embarrassing. Lori says that my vision wasn't clear. Most experienced florists know that a ribbon for a funeral comes with letters that are stuck on not drawn on with sharpie marker. It's a shame because we have used her for years and this just was not cool. She could have double checked if she couldn't read my vision request online. read more

The price was incredibly reasonable, and Lori went out of her way to make sure everything was right. Our wedding was outside, in La Jolla, on a windy day, and the party rental company had dropped the arch off without any anchors. Lori helped my dad rearrange everything and lash the arch securely to a bench with twine to make sure that nothing blew down during the ceremony. (Did I mention it was windy?) I didn't know what to expect from Blossoms because I found the shop off of my phone map app but when I pulled up, it was a small shack, brimming with some of the most vibrantly colored and exotic flowers I had ever seen. Lori is an expert florist by experience and it's easy to see in her work. If you're looking for out of the ordinary and impressive, this is the place to go. I am SO pleased w/ Blossoms! Not only was this Spring arrangement just gorgeous but this pic was taken almost 2 weeks after purchase! I can tell the owner goes the extra mile to assure the flowers not only LOOK great but LAST as long as possible, too. Take a look at the 3rd pic, she wraps a green wire around the daisies (which usually are the first to go in other arrangements b/c of their top-heaviness) and this works SO much better than the clear tube support thing I've had in other bouquets - and this wiring method takes much longer to do on her part.
